Great place and would come again and again.
Considering the heavy rain a few days before we got there, it was not that muddy. The drop toilet was clean, but should’ve had a solar light for night runs.

Lovely campsites by the river at the foothills of the Snowy Mountains. Well maintained and cattle and dog friendly. Wake to the sounds of a cows feeding nearby. Easy access to the river sites and fire pits and communication with Wayne is excellent. Would recommend and will return

We had the most relaxing time at this beautiful riverside campsite! It’s the perfect pet-friendly spot, and our dog absolutely loved having the freedom to explore. The location right next to the river was not only stunning but super peaceful—waking up to the sound of the water and birds was pure bliss.
The sunsets here were breathtaking—each evening felt like a private show with vibrant colors reflecting off the water. It's an ideal place to unwind, enjoy nature, and disconnect from the daily grind.

A fantastic place to stay. Close to town, peaceful, great wildlife (even a platypus sighting if you’re lucky), lots of space and Wayne (host) was lovely. Seriously one of the best places we’ve ever stayed, highly recommended.

Great bush camp by the Tumut River. Peaceful, scenic, and perfect for fishing or just kicking back by the fire. Plenty of space, flat ground, and no crowds. Cold when I went, but the fire pit sorted that. Host was easygoing. Will definitely be back for another trip.

We loved our stay at Bahwidgee. We had a private site where we truely relaxed, enjoyed a fire, reconnected as a family and enjoyed the sound of the birds, the properties cattle and the mysterious playful platypuses. Highly recommend!

I arrived just on dusk. Signs clearly directed me to the camping area, but not to the toilet. I did not find the toilet until the next morning, in the light. A sign would have helped. The toilet itself was disgusting, functional, but uncleaned, unmaintained and separate from the camping area.
The site itself was nicely mown, vast and picturesque, with only one other party camping at some distance. There some decrepit buildings and bits of demolished concrete lying around the site.

We have been using Hipcamp for about 2 years and this place would rate as one of the best we have stayed at. To camp beside such a beautiful river on lovely green grass was amazing. Our host called in to say hello and check we were happy. You can even get firewood from him if you need.

Very nice scenic property. The cows made our stay extra special, some are quite friendly. Lots of fire pits and space for campers. I recommend you bring a portable loo as the drop toilet may not be comfortable for everyone to use, eg those with limited mobility.

We had a good stay at Bahwidgee for a couple of nights with our pets. Plenty of room and options for where and how to park the van. While there were a couple of other groups parked up, we all had heaps of room. Wayne was great and we had a good chat the first night. The river was crystal clear and provided a great backdrop. Tumut was also a nice town. Would definitely stay again if we were passing through.

We enjoyed our stay on Wayne's property. Great host, very responsive to any requests we had. Close to town for anything you need. Brewery is a great place to eat and try the local brews.

The owner and his dogs were lovely. The property was nice, however we were all packed in like sardines - so close like a meter apart from the next person. You are not allowed to separate the campsites with ur vehicles / tents for privacy so you literally can see and hear everyone next to you it feels like they are in your campsite
We had a family with x2 screaming kids constantly next to us for 2 days that were right next to our fireput. The screaming/crying was constant starting from 7am until they went to bed non-stop. To think we paid $$ for peace and tranquillity was a major disappointment. It was lucky they left the next day i was going crazy. If they weren't going to leave, we were.
There was large group belting ACDC music at the other end of the river that we all had to endure, thank God that was down the other end and we weren't camped directly next to that. That also would have been a problem, but as we were half way down the river it didn't bother us
We were lucky to have a large group and x2 older couples which were that close we could all see and hear each other's conversations due to being so close, but we were all respectful of each other and were able to enjoy the rest of our stay...
The water was beautiful and refreshing, v.steep and rocky to get in / out the water
Grass, cows were absolutely lovely. It was pretty
We won't come back due to the fact we pay $$ to go camping with people we come with, we prefer privacy with our own space.

Unforgettable experience camping at Wayne’s Farm. We miss the cows and waking up to the incredible views in every direction. Highly recommend staying here, every site is beautiful and easy to access, plenty of flat ground and an easy run into town for supplies.
Watch out for the cheeky possums who we think stole one of my Nike slides 😂
