We’re pet-friendly! Please note, however, that we are a working farm with ongoing activities and resident animals, including livestock and farm dogs, so all pets must be kept under control at all times. Aggressive, disruptive, or potentially dangerous dogs of any type are not allowed — especially restricted breeds (e.g. Pit Bulls, Bull Mastiffs). Only friendly dogs are permitted, and we reserve the right to ask you to leave if your dog is deemed unsafe or aggressive upon arrival. If you have any doubts, please message us prior to booking. Also, please ensure kids are supervised at all times, particularly around the river. Lifejackets are recommended. During your time here, visit the local farm gates in Tumut, Batlow, Tumbarumba, and Adelong for their delicious high-country produce. There are also some beautiful swimming spots and walks to discover in the region, as well as good facilities in town, including the local swimming pool and shopping centre. Enjoy a local brew and bite to eat at the Tumut brewery. Bahwidgee is just 3km from the Tumut town centre - so close you could ride in, or even walk.

We are located a short 13km drive off the Hume Highway and only 45 minutes from Wagga Wagga the largest inland city in NSW. Not only is Gundagai the gateway to the Riverina but the Snowy Mountains Alpine area is within a day trip from here too, making it a great central location. We are sheep graziers, and in season, visitors can observe the newborn lambs or freshly shorn sheep. There are no amenities available, self contained camping only. Campfires permitted in designated areas when restrictions aren't in place. Please consult hosts regarding fires during dry summer months even when no fire ban in place. Good access for caravans Karoola gives you the opportunity to fish, swim, boat or kayak on the river. You can walk along the riverbank or up onto the rocky outcrop for a great view of the Murrumbidgee floodplain and surrounding farming country or perhaps you would just like to relax with a good book and drink under the huge gumtrees on the riverbank in peace and quiet. "The Orchard" is a beautiful peaceful 5 minute walk down a gravel road with big trees to our Cidery where you can taste and take back to camp some of our cider or sit and have a drink while watching the animals being fed. Maybe book a tour where Tony will show you how we make our cider from the orchard to the bottle and Lorene will show you the amazing animals. You can always jump on your bike and head out on one of the many tracks in the area. You will need to be self sufficient and have your own toilet, water etc. There is no power in The Orchard. Due to people using the orchard as a toilet we are now no longer taking people tenting. You MUST be self sufficient. Head in Batlow to check out the bakery, RSL and Pub and admire the beauty of this small town. Or head upto Tumbarumba where you can visit the Winerys and Ginnery, have lunch at Coroubya wines,The Nest or one of the many cafes. Maybe take the challange of the Tumbarumba rail trail. Check out the water falls, the blowering dam and take in those beautiful mountain views.

Starting out with a car, a camper trailer and two bags we travelled from North Queensland down to Tasmania. Looking for a place to live. On our way through Tumbarumba everything started to unfold and we fell in love with our property. The feel, the experience and the climate. This was it! We've found our perfect place and finally named it "Creal's Rest" which has two meanings for us. Obviously from our name, but also from "creel" which is a wicker basket usually used for carrying fish. Escape the hustle bustle of life on our 10 acres alpaca life style farm which is nestled between beautiful hills and grazing properties on Walteela Road in Mannus (20 min drive to Tumbarumba). Walteela means "Place of Peace" and that is what you might be looking for. No traffic waking you. Listen to the sounds of nature instead... Enjoy the peacefulness, local wildlife (kookaburras, echidnas, wombats, kangaroos, etc.), small creek, stunning mountain views and dark skies for star gazing. Birdwatchers... you'll love it! Love fishing? Enjoy a chat with Craig, who has been a pro line fisherman for 18 years in the GBR! He loves to explore, show off the local fishing spots and a chat about all things fishing! Mannus Creek is only a couple of min drive away and Mannus Lake 15-20 min drive. Hand feed our friendly alpacas, greet our pet chickens and find some eggs. Ask us for some fresh herbs from our garden if you like cooking with a little extra  flavour or use them to enjoy a herbal tea.  Heard of "Swedish Torch" yet? Just 15 minutes down the road is Oura Beach.. a little reserve on the Murrumbidgee river. Only 25 minutes away is the famous Junee Chocolate factory. Just a short 11-minute drive is the Wild Vine Winery and if you would like to indulge in some pampering book yourself in for a massage with Brooke at Figtree retreat just 7 minutes drive away. Our Space: The guesthouse is approx 100m from our home. In saying that you still have your privacy as there are gardens between us. Being a working farm you will see us moving about however we will leave you be unless you would like to interact! The guesthouse has 2 levels with the upstairs level containing a queen bed with luxurious Sheridan sheets and French linen bedding, reverse cycle aircon, flow-on heating from the fireplace downstairs, and a bathroom ensuite with a shower and toilet with toweling included. There is also a balcony off the upstairs room overlooking the gardens and market garden space. We also provide comfy and warm swags and camp mattresses for up to 2 kids to sleep in. Downstairs is a separate toilet, dining, and lounge area with a double fold-out sofa bed. The woodfire provides plenty of warmth and we provide you with chopped wood. The kitchenette is a simple little kitchen with a bar fridge, benchtop induction cooker, and a slow cooker for your meals as there is no oven. There is also a BBQ for your use as well. It is well equipped to dine at home with all essential cookware and locally sourced condiments. Enjoy your meals inside or in our outdoor dining setting. There is a full house water filtration system giving you beautiful quality water to drink and shower in. We provide a variety of herbal teas and locally ground coffee with a coffee machine. Relax with our selection of books and games. There is a steam sauna available for use as well. Take a walk by the creek and maybe take a picnic basket to enjoy there too. If you would like a personalized tour of the farm please let us know prior to arriving. Guest access You will have your own access to the guesthouse with a car space. Feel free to wander the market garden space and explore the creek and paddocks. Other things to note There are some open water areas including fish ponds and the creek so small children must be supervised to ensure their safety

Put your canoe in a few kms up stream and finish at the campsite or just enjoy the solitude sitting around the campsite. A scenic drive following the Murrumbidgee and Tumut Rivers can be taken as an alternative route to Tumut or Gundagai. The site can be used a base camp to fishing, wineries, bushwalking and ski fields. There is free wood for camp fires. Friendly, well controlled pets are welcome as long as they do not spoil the camping experience of others and being mindful that there may be cattle and sheep grazing nearby. Children need to be supervised at all times as the river can be fast moving and become deep quickly and there may be the odd snake. Murrumbidgee water should be boiled or bring your own. There are no toilets at the site and all rubbish should be taken with you. Property owner lives nearby and is available for assistance

On the right hand side there is less vegetation, this side of the property also leads to a creek. Land is recently reforested with native trees. Turn LEFT off Hume Highway into Adelong Creek Rd if you are driving from the South OR turn Right across freeway if you are driving from Gundagai Iconic Gundagai village is only 8 km away. Water sports, hiking, horse riding and skiing are all available in the nearby area. Also only 45 minutes from Wagga Wagga. Pets are welcome but must be contained to protect nature and wildlife. Campfires are permitted but you must have your own fire pit.

Welcome to our farm! We are a family-run business passionate about growing local produce and good quality, nourishing food. The guesthouse is set on 33 acres of a working farm where we currently grow gourmet mushrooms and microgreens and will be expanding our market garden over the next few months! Come and experience and learn how our food is grown and enjoy a paddock-to-plate experience with locally grown produce available to enjoy. The space Our guesthouse is set on our 33-acre property and is located in Oura, just 25 minutes from the center of Wagga Wagga. Nestled amongst the rolling hills of Oura you will be immersed in the stillness of nature. On a clear night enjoy the beautiful display of stars undisturbed by the city lights. Just 15 minutes down the road is Oura Beach.. a little reserve on the Murrumbidgee river. Only 25 minutes away is the famous Junee Chocolate factory. Just a short 11-minute drive is the Wild Vine Winery and if you would like to indulge in some pampering book yourself in for a massage with Brooke at Figtree retreat just 7 minutes drive away. Our Space: The guesthouse is approx 100m from our home. In saying that you still have your privacy as there are gardens between us. Being a working farm you will see us moving about however we will leave you be unless you would like to interact! The guesthouse has 2 levels with the upstairs level containing a queen bed with luxurious Sheridan sheets and French linen bedding, reverse cycle aircon, flow-on heating from the fireplace downstairs, and a bathroom ensuite with a shower and toilet with toweling included. There is also a balcony off the upstairs room overlooking the gardens and market garden space. We also provide comfy and warm swags and camp mattresses for up to 2 kids to sleep in. Downstairs is a separate toilet, dining, and lounge area with a double fold-out sofa bed. The woodfire provides plenty of warmth and we provide you with chopped wood. The kitchenette is a simple little kitchen with a bar fridge, benchtop induction cooker, and a slow cooker for your meals as there is no oven. There is also a BBQ for your use as well. It is well equipped to dine at home with all essential cookware and locally sourced condiments. Enjoy your meals inside or in our outdoor dining setting. There is a full house water filtration system giving you beautiful quality water to drink and shower in. We provide a variety of herbal teas and locally ground coffee with a coffee machine. Relax with our selection of books and games. There is a steam sauna available for use as well. Take a walk by the creek and maybe take a picnic basket to enjoy there too. If you would like a personalized tour of the farm please let us know prior to arriving. Guest access You will have your own access to the guesthouse with a car space. Feel free to wander the market garden space and explore the creek and paddocks. Other things to note There are some open water areas including fish ponds and the creek so small children must be supervised to ensure their safety

Camp on Murrumbidgee River, total river frontage is 300m, so room to spread out amongst the River Red Gums. Flat campsites with a sloping access to the river. Maximum 10 campers. The 15 acres of camping area is part of a mixed farming property (1500acres) and has easy access for camper vans. The site is 8-10 minutes from Gundagai. A canoers paradise! Put your canoe in a few kms up stream and finish at the campsite or just enjoy the solitude sitting around the campsite. A scenic drive following the Murrumbidgee and Tumut Rivers can be taken as an alternative route to Tumut or Gundagai. The site can be used a base camp to fishing, wineries, bushwalking and ski fields. There is free wood for camp fires. Friendly, well controlled pets are welcome as long as they do not spoil the camping experience of others and being mindful that there may be cattle and sheep grazing nearby. Children need to be supervised at all times as the river can be fast moving and become deep quickly and there may be the odd snake. Murrumbidgee water should be boiled or bring your own. There are no toilets at the site and all rubbish should be taken with you. Property owner lives nearby and is available for assistance

We loved tent camping at site 2. Leah met us as we arrived and was incredibly helpful in showing us where our site was and pointing out where the amenities were. We really appreciated how accomodating Leah was to our individual needs. Our camping setup is primitive, but Leah offered us more permanent shelter when a big storm rolled through during our stay. Use of the pool and interactions with the farm animals were added bonuses. We couldn't be more grateful and highly recommend that everyone stays here when visiting the region.

Time to relax... bring your hammock if you have one or two or three. The huge apple box tree provides a perfect spot to chill in the shade.

Wonderful open area with plenty of options along the riverbend. Fishing difficult due to snags but we definitely gave it a good crack. Very steep decent down to river camping area. We had heavy caravan and luckily dry weather allowed us to get out ok. Also an awesome winery 🍷 2 mins away.

This was our third stay here in 3 years and it still is our favourite camping spot. Wayne as always was a great host. It's so tranquil with the great grassy camp sites combined with the river the bird life the cattle the views of the surrounding area and maybe a trout or two make it just so relaxing. The new toilets were a added bonus. It's only a 10 minute drive Into town for supplies and entertainment. We will be back again next year. Rob

3rd time visiting Karoola Station. This time we stayed at River Bend as the grass was too high at The Lagoon. There were 3 of us with caravans plenty of room and nice and peaceful spot. We had 4 dogs with us and they were pretty happy too!

Property was beautiful. Access through the property was well sign posted. We stayed at the lagoon where there was slow moving water for the kids to play in and fast water for fishing and adult fishing. Be warned the GPS dot for the lagoon of used in Google maps will direct you to the north side of the river and the camp-site is on the south side of the river. All in all looking forward to camping here again with friends.

We had a lovely 2 nights stay at Creal’s Rest. It was very peaceful. The alpacas were sweet and curious and there was even a baby alpaca! The burbling creek was pretty and a soothing sound. The big apple box gum tree was spectacular and provided nice shade. The site is just down the hill from the main house but quite private. There is a composting drop toilet (with no door). We saw a few platypus in Mannus creek 5 minutes drive down the road at the bridge. It was lovely and green in late spring. Our hosts were kindly and interesting to chat with. Thanks for having us!
