We stayed at The River Bend at Willowbank on the Murray and, quite simply, it was outstanding. The river access is a genuine highlight. There’s a calm section with little to no current, making it perfect for wading in and cooling off during the summer heat without feeling like you’re auditioning for a survival show. The occasional canoe drifts past, and now and then a boat cruises by at a respectful pace—everyone we encountered was friendly and considerate. Camp sites are generously spaced, which is increasingly rare and very much appreciated. You’re not camping on top of your neighbours, and it actually feels peaceful. The cows occasionally wander through in the morning, which adds a bit of rural charm rather than inconvenience. I had some concerns about flies given the setting, but those fears were unfounded—the grounds are immaculately maintained and there were bugger all flies to speak of. Communication was excellent from the start. Vicki provided a detailed and very clear brief on what to expect and how to get there, which removed any guesswork. We were met at the front gate by Byron, who was fantastic—friendly, helpful, and made getting to the campsite effortless. Albury is only a five-minute drive away, which is ideal. Assuming you may need to top up supplies… or grab a sneaky breakfast or lunch after a couple of beverages the night before. I’d highly recommend Willowbank on the Murray to anyone looking for a well-run, peaceful riverside escape.

Wow! what a little gem! right on the river and my dog had a blast! Just be aware of the current as it is quite strong out in the middle. The cows come to visit and are more curious about you then you are of them! Vicki the host was wonderful, helpful and very friendly. Highly recommend this hi-camp if you are after peace and quiet.

What a beautiful and secluded location right on the river.. We enjoyed meeting the farm animals and waking up in the morning to birdsong. Charles recommended a drive up the hill to watch the sunset and whilst we were too early for the sunset it is a view worth driving for.. we will be back.

Amazing place to stay, really private, sheltered with plenty of shade as well as sun. Right next to the river with a lovely big pebble beach area. Picnic table, hot shower and nice clean toilet, hammock, fire pit, some cooking facilities, deck chairs on the beach area, fresh lemons (seasonal). Both myself and my dog loved our stay here, it would also be good for larger groups but I loved having it all to myself.

Our 25 acre Hipcamp area is located safely within our 300 acre property which enjoys approximately 5 kilometres of pristine and private Murray River frontage in the beautiful rural city of Albury. Willowbank is a fourth generation cattle farm and when you arrive at Willowbank you will feel like you are a million miles away from anywhere but you are only 2.8km from the centre of Albury and 2.9km to Wodonga from our sites . We are less than 5 minutes away from the beautiful South Albury cafe and boutique shopping precinct; Ebden & Olive, Nannina's, Meraki, Platform 9, South Albury Take Away, Di Billet, Almar Organics, Sukor Wellness & Recovery, The Red Devil Brewery, Tucker on Townsend, Chic to Chic and more. We are also only 3.5km from Harris Farm Markets. Albury's public Dump Point at Albury Railway Station is less than 5 minutes away. Each of our camping sites is well away from each of the others and there is plenty of room at each site for children to play. The two best sites for swimming are The River Bend and The Willows. We encourage the use of life jackets for children in the water at all time. We have no toilet or shower facilities at any of our sites so you are required to bring your own toilet with you. All waste must be removed at the end of your visit. With notice, we can arrange portaloo hire should you need, please enquire with us prior to booking. We have no access to drinking water and if you decide to use river water for drinking we do recommend that you boil the water. Swimming, floating, paddling in the Murray River is a sublime pastime. Please be aware though, that the Murray River has a very fast and strong current. Looking to hire a canoe, we recommend you contact Dave/ Murray River Canoe Hire (0417 691 339) for a canoe to paddle around your campsite or to do a beautiful canoe trip on the Murray River from Doctor's Point to Noreuil Park. It will take a few hours and yes you will go past your camp site! We do have an area to launch your motor or paddle boat or jet ski We are on the banks of the magnificent Murray River and all our three sites are absolute river frontage with uninterrupted views up, down and across the Murray River. We endeavour to provide a peaceful environment, and this is generally a lovely quiet location which more than fulfils our own personal requirements for an undisturbed lifestyle, and will no doubt do so for the vast majority of campers. But we can’t guarantee it will always be completely silent during the day or at night- especially if the lambs or calves or foals are being weaned from their mothers! Ear plugs are available for light sleepers if required. And if you are an extremely noise sensitive person or someone who wants a private camping experience with no noise or neighbouring houses visible, this may not be the right spot for you (if this is you, we would recommend looking for a more remote stay on a large acreage which will provide you with a more private experience) * And while on the topic- if partying late into the night with loud music, a thumping base on your sound system and extremely raucous singing and laughter is your thing, then this is not the right camping spot for you. While we are all for socialising and having fun, if you want to party loudly into the wee hours we would suggest finding a camping spot far away from neighbouring properties where the sound doesn’t carry for miles across the land. We ask that you organise and confirm any animals coming to the farm prior to booking by message. The powered camp site can cater up to 50 people. $50.00 per person per night (except children under 10 years old). All persons under 18 years of age are to be supervised whilst on the farm. Alternatively, for people not wanting to camp out or those with caravans or RV’S we have a site in close proximity to a 20 x 9 mtr shed, powered with concrete slab. The powered shed site is $50.00 per person per night. Hunters Spread is approximately 3.5 hours from Melbourne. The farm is approximately 30 minutes drive to Beechworth, Bright and Lake Buffalo and about 50kms to Albury Wodonga. Our property is located on a 10-acre block on the banks of the Murray River. We are approximately 3km from the town centre but have a private and secluded feel with no close neighbours. A peaceful base camp to retreat back to after exploring the region. Nestled on the river bank, among the gum trees and pines, are beautiful shady, camping spots, welcoming self-contained campers, with plenty of room for you to set up comfortably. A stone's throw from camp you'll find a great place to fish for Murray Cod and crays, a spot from which to launch your canoes or paddle boards, the bank is quite steep and you can access using a ladder which is shown in photos. There is access to many wonderful cycling tracks and rail trails in the area. There is a corner shop within walking distance, and great cafes and restaurants close by. Corowa Chocolate and Whisky Factory Museum, Golf Club, RSL and cinema. With the wineries of Wahgunyah and Rutherglen just over the bridge! There are sunny and shady spots but sun cannot be guaranteed all day so please bring a generator or hire ours if you need extra power.

Both Telstra and Optus mobile coverage at the property. In the warmer months a gazebo for additional shade is a good idea. An all weather road will accommodate most setups for access thru 12 feet roadside gate.

These beautiful towns contain an array of boutique wineries, craft breweries, bakeries and cafes, or you can choose to follow a farm gate food trail.The area also provides opportunities to go horse-riding, bike riding on one of the many rail trails or be adventurous on the mountain bike tracks at Falls Creek in the warmer months with snow sports in winter. The surrounding mountain ranges offer numerous famous 4wd trails or you might like to try your hand at panning for gold.This is a working farm and our animals are our family. They are very friendly but only know us and not you so please do not enter their homes without us, but feel free to talk to them over the gates. Be aware that all fences are electric and are switched on at all times. There is a dedicated communal campfire area for use when fire restrictions permit and we request that no additional fire pits are created during your stay. As this is a working property we are unable to accommodate your pets.
