Billabong Flats Farm is a 100 Acre property enhanced by 1km of King River access in the heart of Wangaratta, North East Victoria. It has an abundance of birdlife including Kookaburras, Kingfishers, Blue Wrens, Cormorants and many types of water birds. The property is in a fantastic location to the Wangaratta township as it is only 1.5 kms drive into town to get all your supplies if required including, Aldi, Woolworths, Coles, Dan Murphys, Kmart, Camping Stores, Petrol Stations, Cinema, Bowling Alley and the wonderful choice of Hotels, Restaurants and Take away options if required. It is surrounded by picturesque green countryside laden with ancient Red Rivergum Trees and billabongs with access to river frontage for fishing and one area has a swimming hole for those hot summer days. The river is ideal for swimming, tubing, floating and fishing. Choose either to relax with a book and a glass of wine and do nothing or go and explore the many attractions of the wonderful North East area including the beautiful King Valley, Beechworth, Bright, Yarrawonga and Rutherglen plus many other gorgeous areas that have Art Trails or Silo Art Trails, all of which are 30-60 minutes drive from the property. Billabong Flats Farm sites are very spacious with each section private from other Campers with a fire pit provided plus an abundance of open area for recreation for kids and dogs to run around. The Swimming Hole Bush Camp is an extra large riverside bush campsite that could accommodate a large group of Vans (10 at least). It has a designated fire pit and Campers will need to have own Toilet/Shower amenities and be and leave no trace behind when leaving us. Accessible for most types of vehicles. Dog friendly if well behaved and controlled and won't chase the Cattle. Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place, firewood for sale (see Extras). We are close to the region’s attractions including 15mins drive to Brown Brothers Winery in Milawa, many Lookouts and National Parks, Lake William Hovell, Restaurants, Wineries and Distilleries of this special area.

Riverside Campsite
We loved camping here! Beautiful bush with river. Campfire set up was great. John took us to our site. Lots of space for kids to ride their bikes. They even got to pat Red the horse! Great spot, thanks for having us Kerryn and John.

Secret Island River View Site
Beautify private campite!
Kerryn showed us to a really nice campsite right by the river. Shame we only could spend one night there! The campfire setup at the site was 👌

King River Swimming Site
Perfect Hosts & Pet Friendly Site.
Kerryn and John were wonderful hosts, combining warm hospitality with excellent communication. We were thrilled to receive a complimentary upgrade to the King River Swimming site, ideal for larger gatherings. This location impressed us with its meticulous maintenance and thoughtful details such as solar lighting in trees, a well-designed fire pit, and the personal touch of John guiding us to our site after dusk—a gesture we greatly appreciated. The site itself was not only spacious and level but also just a few kilometers from town, adding convenience to our stay. Our dogs had a fantastic time exploring the beautifully kept site, and the nearby 24/7 dog wash station was a convenient stop before our return to city life. For anyone visiting Wangaratta, I highly recommend this site for its superb setting and warm hospitality.

Secret Island River View Site
Kerryn was such a lovely host, the Secret Island camp ground is such a private secluded spot with great access to the river for fishing and swimming. Thanks for having me Kerryn!

Secret Island River View Site
A perfect spot.
Such a beautiful spot. We had a relaxing time, with the fire pit set-up perfect for ‘bush tv’ viewing. Our dog loved the space to chase a tennis ball, and splash about in the river. Our secluded camp spot that we’ll definitely return to.
