4 nights at "Duck Downs" Snowy Mountains

Really great-sized spaces with views of the surrounding mountains. The land is grassy and rocky with no trees, terrain which we happen to love. Easy access to the property and to the designated camping areas. The camping areas are a good distance away from each other, giving plenty of privacy.

Weekend Trip to Tin Can Ridge

We loved the glamping experience at Tin Can Ridge. It snowed while we were here, so it was lovely to wake up to the beautiful winter wonderland and to explore the nearby trails. One thing we were unprepared for on the cold weather was the camping toilet - the flushing liquid froze due to the frosty temps. It's a simple set up but otherwise a great place to visit.

This is the second time we’ve come to anna’s property and we absolutely love it. Her and her family are absolutely amazing, we ran out of wood the last time and they didn’t hesitate to bring more up for us! They left us extra wood as they knew it would be cold. Weekend Trip to Michelago Farm Camping

My wife and I spent a very relaxing two night stay , the farm is really quite lovely and the farm animals just add to the experience, we both fell in love with the smallest of the 3 donkeys they have in the paddock next to the camping locations in the adjacent paddock , there is also a gorgeous maremma sheepdog working with the chooks that like to check you out at different parts of the day. The drop toilet is a really nice addition and is kept very clean. All in all apart from the minus temperature for both nights 🥶🥶🥶 we had a wonderful time and would certainly go back 👍👍

What a wonderfully relaxing and picturesque part of our country. The views are amazing and the peace and quiet was something we thoroughly enjoyed. It was also great to meet the resident dogs who were super friendly and only to happy to escort us as we explored the property. Would definitely recommend and we’ll certainly be back.

Highly recomened for those who love get away and switch offf and Having the entire place to yourself Great river access for kayaks fishing mountain bikes bush walking bird watching and in warmer months swimming Great for our extended Family group and one dog 4x4 camp trailers a swag and a tent . Very well maintained big cleared flat grassy areas The facilities are excellent loved the added bonus of camp kitchen area and we also rented the cabin. all spotlessly clean. The owners gave us very clear instructions and We had no trouble with the toilet or the hot water showers just need patience and maybe take notes before you head in as it’s Patchy even Telstra reception We had added bonus as we had acess to internet thru starlink provider. 1 hour drive mainly on dirt road to Bodalla 4x4 easy pulling camper trailers Would only recommend all wheel drive if you have high clearance and good tyres . We will definitely returning .

If you are looking for peace and quiet then this is the place! The views on top of the hill were lovely and watching the stars at night was amazing, the sky was so clear. Lots of walks to do around the place as well. The tent is nice and cosy, the bed is extremely comfortable, with extra blankets if needed. Nice firepit - with plenty of firewood, which was replenished for our second night. Webber bbq to use as well. Lots of little thoughtful things around(tin foil, UNO) which made a nice touch. Anna and Andrew are lovely and welcoming. Would recommend if you are looking for a relaxing weekend away.

1 night at Sapphire Coast Dairy-Homestead

I’ve stayed here three times now, and this time I brought my family. it never disappoints. The property has such a peaceful, freeing atmosphere that instantly helps you unwind. The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming, which makes the stay even more special. The views are absolutely breathtaking, and it’s the perfect place to escape from busy city life. Sleeping under the stars here is magical , you won’t find a better spot for it. I loved the outdoor bath under the sky, and the hot showers were a great comfort after a day spent exploring. Being on a working dairy farm added to the charm. Watching the cows and soaking in the quiet rhythm of farm life was so grounding. Their friendly dog, Bailey, even came up last night and sat with me in my swag, such a sweet and comforting moment. To top it off, we made s’mores by the fire, with the smell of wood smoke in the air. It doesn’t get much better than that. Can’t wait to come back again.

We camped here for two days and had a wonderful experience. Beatrice was a fantastic host, warm, friendly, and very helpful. She personally showed us around and explained how to use the shower and toilet facilities, which were clean, functional, and conveniently close to the campsites. The campsite itself was well-maintained and peaceful. During our stay, we had the whole place to ourselves, which gave us plenty of privacy. However, it's worth noting that the cabins are located quite close to the campsites, so privacy might be limited when they are occupied. There’s a designated common area for campfires, which is a nice touch, though individual campfires aren’t allowed at the campsites. Overall, it was a really enjoyable stay. The surroundings are beautiful and serene. Perfect for a relaxing getaway.

2 nights at Nerrigundah Tuross River Camping

Was so nice to have this place all to ourselves we were a bit confused with working out that the hot water shower was the first toilet block you pass a of a walk from the campsite not the one at the camp kitchen. We also hired kayaks and bags of wood but we couldn’t work out what wood was ours or how to get access to the kayak so we sadly missed out. Perfect spot just maybe more detailing on the instructions , easy fix !!

2 nights at Wombat Pines - Private Camping

We had a great time at Wombat Pines with our pets. Instructions before arrival were clear and there are plenty of spots to setup on the property to suit your setup and the weather. We opted to stay on top of the hill and made use of the firepit both nights. We had our first ever wild Wombat experience and spotted a few in different locations. Sunrises and sunsets were spectacular, as were the super clear skies at night time. Wish we'd stayed an extra night!

It’s conveniently close to Adaminaby and Lake Eucumbene, which made it easy for us to enjoy some great fishing and explore the Snowy Mountains area. Luke was a fantastic host—friendly, responsive, and clearly passionate about making the camping experience special. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for a quiet, scenic getaway with easy access to the outdoors!

Rolling hills, Quite still. Few trees, Much to see. Many granite rocks, Like sheep in flocks. Natural sounds, At ‘Duck Downs’. T.J Wilson We have 3 remote sites and 3 dispersed sites and the property is six kilometers from Dalgety township which is situated on the “Snowy River” NSW. We are located 30 minutes drive south east of Jindabyne and 40 minutes drive south west of Cooma. There is a flush toilet and fresh drinking water is available at our dispersed sites. Caravans can easily be filled up via garden hose and if you are staying on one of the remote sites this can be done easily prior to settling in. We have a mowed loop track giving easy access from each site to stroll to the top of the hill, walk the dog or enjoy the 360 degree views. Take a picnic in the evening or just a glass of wine and watch the sunset from the top of the hill. After dark, relax and toast some marshmallows over the fire pit and discuss what you are going to do the next day. The land was originally once a part of "Marranumbla Homestead". I have called it home since 1995 and now share it with my partner Phillip, our son, Danish the Whippet, Murphy the Malshi, Myonie the Moodle and Finley the cat. The house yard only had 2 trees when I bought it and the house built originally in 1980 still needed completing on the inside. I have worked hard to create an extensive garden in a sometimes harsh environment. It's our peaceful part of the "Snowy Monaro", the property being 155 acres in total. A great place to wander and breath in the fresh air. In Dalgety township you can have a meal and catch up with a local at the "Buckley's Crossing Hotel" or take a walk around the show ground, town and along the river reserve where you can have a swim and relax on the riverbank and view the historic Dalgety Bridge circa 1888 across the Snowy River. Then come back in the evening to look for platypus when they come out to play. Visit the local 'Snowy Vineyard and Microbrewery' incorporating the 'Dalgety Brewing Company' situated approximately 10km north of the town on the Snowy River or have lunch at 'Tuscany in Dalgety' 2km to the west of town. Take a trip to Jindabyne which is half an hours drive to the west, walk round the lake, visit the 'Jindabyne Brewery', great food, beer, cider and wine or the many other restaurants and cafes in town. Spend some time at the 'Snowy Region Visitor Centre' and the 'Gaden Trout Hatchery' or catch your own trout in the lake or at the 'Eucumbene Trout Farm'. Travel beyond into the mountains and Kosciusko National Park to Thredbo, Perisher Valley and Charlottes Pass. Explore the many walks in the national park including the walk to the top of Mt Kosciusko. Visit the 'Wild Brumby Distillery' enjoy some European fare and locally crafted Schnapps, Gin, Vodka or Gluhwein. Take a day trip through Adaminaby to 'Yarrangobilly Caves and Thermal Pool' in the northern end of Kosciusko National Park, picnic, swim and tour the caves. Visit the "Snowy Hydro Discovery Centre and Café in Cooma and learn the history of the scheme. The Centre houses a comprehensive exhibition hall including an extensive photographic collection, models, hands-on exhibits and a one of a kind immersive theatre. You will find information about the Scheme such as engineering, the environment, the National Electricity Market, history, water management and power generation. Make it your base camp while enjoying all that the winter season has to offer and lets not forget the skiing and snow boarding of course. Well that's just a sample of some of the things you can do but if all that sounds like too much, just put your feet up and have a rest at your campsite!! P.S. The annual Dalgety Show is held on the first Sunday in March every year and did you know that Dalgety was one of the sites considered for our country's capital. Telstra 4G coverage on the property, limited Optus coverage.

It is home to native animals big and small and many natural features and views. Close by you can enjoy the Eucumbene dam 10 minutes to the North with great Trout fishing and Jindabyne 25 minutes to the South. Kosciousko National Park is located to the West with several access points. Sitting at an elevation of 1270m above sea level it gets blanketed in snow in winter and beautiful sun in summer.

376 hectare operating dairy farm next to Biamanga National Park with access via secret 4WD track to the mountain and 22km to Brogo Dam for bass fishing. 16.5 kms to shopping centre of Bega. & 34 km to Tathra beach. The property has eucalyptus forest, rainforest gullies, fresh mountain water and abundant wildlife include bellbirds and lyrebirds. The campsite is at the original 1908 selection block by the late John Pearce (one of the first settlers in the area) and has extensive views. in dry weather you can get here in 2WD towing a small camper trailer. There is a steep hairpin bend so I do not recommend caravans with 2WD vehicles (4WD vehicle and caravan could handle this). Since the early 1800s our property has been a sheep and cattle grazing farm. Our first ancestors settled in this area in 1821 and we enjoy a rich historical connection to our country. Little has changed since those early days with native pastures and forests existing in harmony with wildlife and livestock. You will likely see emu and a vast array of other birdlife, kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, echidnas, crayfish and small fish. There are two creeks, both with 4km frontage on the property. Native plants, flowers and trees are in abundance. Farm infrastructure includes timber stock yards, buildings and sheds, some dating back to the 1800s. Four distinct seasons occur at this latitude and elevation. However, weather is changeable throughout the year so always be prepared for sudden changes in conditions. Snow can fall periodically during winter but on occasions even on Christmas Day. Campfire pits at campsites can be used except when fire bans are imposed and in unfavourably hot and or windy conditions.

1000 acres of bushland, private campsite only 3km from the Snowy Mountains Highway. Good mobile coverage. Lots of wildlife. Campfires permitted. Potable water available. No toilet or amenities. 4WD is best but not absolutely necessary, a small low clearance car won't be suitable. Pets allowed but be aware it is a running cattle farm and it's expected that you know your pets whereabouts at all times. At 1200 metres elevation it is often colder than the surrounding areas and sometimes very foggy. A second site is available near our house at the "hayshed". Let's say you're travelling between Bega and Cooma or Bombala, it's getting late and you need a spot to spend the night which is safe and you can plug into power. Next morning buy some fresh eggs, have breakfast, check your vehicle over, top up a bit of water and back to the main highway in a few minutes.

Tinpot Farm is about 90 acres with about an acre and half of camping space on river frontage. There is a communal toilet for the campground. Campers can enjoy water activities in the Tuross River (fresh water) such as fishing, swimming and kayaking. Camp fires are allowed. Since the early 1800s our property has been a sheep and cattle grazing farm. Our first ancestors settled in this area in 1821 and we enjoy a rich historical connection to our country. Little has changed since those early days with native pastures and forests existing in harmony with wildlife and livestock. You will likely see emu and a vast array of other birdlife, kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, echidnas, crayfish and small fish. There are two creeks, both with 4km frontage on the property. Native plants, flowers and trees are in abundance. Farm infrastructure includes timber stock yards, buildings and sheds, some dating back to the 1800s. Four distinct seasons occur at this latitude and elevation. However, weather is changeable throughout the year so always be prepared for sudden changes in conditions. Snow can fall periodically during winter but on occasions even on Christmas Day. Campfire pits at campsites can be used except when fire bans are imposed and in unfavourably hot and or windy conditions.

Michelago Farm Camping

Large open paddock with easy access from Monaro Highway, great for camping with amazing views of the mountains. The access road is dirt road. Ok for caravans. Dog friendly (must be well behaved around our animals and not chase them). We have Alpacas & Donkeys in our paddock near the camp area so your dog must be kept under control at all times (Donkeys hate dogs!). We have a composting toilet available for campers to use. Mobile phone reception in the area is around 3-4 bars 4G on Optus and 3-4 bars 3G on Telstra. There is no access to the rivers or creeks near our property in Michelago as all land along the waterways in Michelago is private property. The closest public access to the river is at Angle Crossing or Bredbo (just ask and I can give you a map) Please bring your own wood for camp fires or you can purchase a barrow of bush wood from us in the extras. We prefer you not to collect your own wood (other than starter sticks/branches) as we are trying to maintain logs, branches, ground cover on the ground for native birds, lizards, etc. All camp fees are being used to rehabilitate our property with plants that are native to our area and restore the land.

Based near Mount Utopia, Nerrigundah, we fell in love with our little sanctuary in 2020. There are two families Dwayne, Michelle, Robbie and Sharon and their four boys Blake, Taeg, Cooper and Flynn. Campers at heart, we started spending nearly every second weekend in our campers and this lead to many a night discussing what else we could do to make this property a place for others to use. It is a work in progress and there is plenty more to come, currently there is a ablution block that is up near the old house site, we decided it was best to have the camp area closer to the river. We have since added a camp kitchen, large undercover area and two cabins (for our own use at this stage). Enjoy direct access to the river plus more swimming areas on the property. Campfires are permitted. There is some firewood on the property but probably best to bring some of your own. There is Telstra service enabling mobile coverage if needed especially for emergencies. 4WDs are recommended to access this campsite. During the rain we recommend 4WD only. In dry you can access with an all wheel drive. Please message us if you're unsure about weather conditions and your vehicle. Our little piece of Utopia is still a work in progress but is picturesque as well as peaceful. Your furry family member is welcome to join you. We hope you enjoy our little Utopia.

We have 40 beautiful acres on The Snowy River Way in Jindabyne with several large, private sites on offer. Our property is on a beautiful hill with a dam midway up if you’re looking for a nice walk. Do a loop around the property for spectacular views. The sites at the bottom of the property closest to the road have easy access and more protection in windy weather, but if you have a 4WD and are wanting to sit and enjoy the 360 degree rural views then head up the hill. All of the sites are large and private from one another and from our house and neighbours. Groups are welcome to have their own spot together and each site has a fire pit in place. We can supply firewood, kindling and fire starters for a small fee or you can BYO. Strictly no foraging for wood from the property please. There’s also no power hookups, taps or toilets.... so it's fully self-sufficient camping. We are only 10 minutes from Lake Jindabyne – turn left to head up to the mountains (a further 30 minutes to Thredbo or Perisher) or right to explore Jindabyne township and its boutiques, breweries, cafes and cinema. Stop in at The Station Resort on the way back from the mountains, just five minutes away for a nice feed and game of pool (during winter). Come and enjoy the beautiful outlook and natural wildlife. Rest and recuperate in peace and privacy or get out and about to enjoy all that the Snowy Mountains has to offer. Tin Can Ridge

Bush camping on 100 acres in the Tinderry Range at about 1400 metres altitude. Seclusion and adventure all within an hour of Canberra and twenty minutes from Michelago and the Monaro highway. Big skies and dark nights for star-gazing are likely; or perhaps you'll be nestled in cloud; or hidden by falling snow. There are numerous tracks with spectacular views around the property for bush walking or mountain bike riding. The tracks are surrounded by sub-alpine flora and fauna (such as wallaby's, wombats, lyrebirds) and nearby in the Tinderry Nature Reserve. Tinderry Range is a rugged range east of the Monaro highway accessed mostly through Michelago or an hour and a half from Braidwood (when dirt roads are reasonable). The range is only around 70km away from the coast, thus enabling a sea mist to often roll over us in the late afternoon. Summer temperatures are a pleasant 6 degrees or so cooler than nearby Canberra. You may choose between a number of options for camping depending on your camping desires and set up. There are numerous tracks around our property or nearby Tinderry Nature Reserve. You may go exploring to find the springs or choose to stick to easy walking tracks that follow the contours. We will provide a map. Tracks are also great for mountain bike riding and exploring the unusual mix of sub-alpine, montane and coastal flora and fauna. There is numerous species of bird life and regular calls from lyre birds. This area has fascinating history with the largest eucalyptus distillery in Australia until the late 1950's and very popular with a number of bushrangers such as the Clarke Brothers who had numerous hideouts. No amenities. BYO camping toilet and leave no trace. Campfires (except on fire ban days or when we advise otherwise) are okay--usually recommended. Normally dry firewood is easy to find, or purchase some from us if you prefer. The exception is the bell tent glamping option,' Tin Can Ridge Glamping' which has a toilet included as well as firewood and shortly its own wood stove! Some campsites are best accessed by 4WD, or on foot. or gain access to the glamping tent with us escorting you. Camp lightly. No hunting. Do nothing illegal. Take all waste with you. Respect the land, the wildlife and people. Keep the peace. Enjoy.

View our placid Scottish Galloway cattle (currently with calves!) pat our friendly poddy Cody and grab a photo opportunity. We also have a beautiful horse Ali and her yearling colt diesel, just watch your fingers with him, gelded now but still thinks he’s a stallion. 5 fat Dorper sheep look like running rugs running around. A real country experience! An Angora goat and slashed tracks to access the beautiful 130 acres around the farm. The small village of Michelago is 5km from our property, has the fuel servo and a terrific General Store, which serves great burgers and milkshakes plus much more. 20mins to the town of Bredbo with its own pub is great for counter lunches and dinners. The Town of Cooma, the gateway to the Snowy mountains is a 40 min drive south. Also if you want to go camping with friends and introduce them to the great outdoors and they don’t have the gear ask about our hire service of all things needed to have a great camp, some are listed but more is always available to hire, just send me a message. Roagumba Farm

Roagumba, or Roa for short, is our 920 acre patch of paradise in the stunning Yowrie Valley, an area traditionally inhabited by the Yuin people. Roa is a working cattle farm, made up of approximately 60% cleared land and the rest native bushland. The Yowrie Valley is largely surrounded by the beautiful Wadbilliga National Park. It is a 35 minute drive to the beaches near Bermagui, whilst the historic and quirky town of Tilba is 40 minutes away. The crystal clear Yowrie River flows along the western side of the property with numerous secluded swimming holes. The property is a working cattle farm so you're likely to meet some very friendly Jersey cows during your stay, as well as a lot of native wildlife such as kangaroos, wombats and birds. We operate three Hipcamp sites and two different locations on the property. Mountain Camp is a single site and offers complete seclusion and privacy, while River Camp is a double site and offers views across the valley whilst only being metres from the river. Both locations have composting toilets. We cater for small groups who are seeking a quiet, peaceful escape. Our sites are small and are capped at 6 people each, per night. To reduce traffic and out of respect to our neighbours, there is a maximum of 2 vehicles allowed per site. One additional vehicle per site can be organised, however we need at least 72 hours notice.

Misty Mountain Wildlife Refuge

Misty Mountain Wildlife Refuge is a 330 acre farm which provides sanctuary to kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, echidnas and many bird species including their habitats. There are Alpacas and Sheep, Kangaroos, Wombats, Kookaburras, Echidnas and many other animals that enjoy this property. The land has 80 acres of cleared grassland this side of the river, and for the adventurous and energetic you can rome the other 250 acres by crossing to the other side of the rive, there are large stands of rainforest and bushland, with 2.5 km of Brown Mountain Creek and its tributary meandering through it. There are some swimming holes and mini rapids; the crystal clear water flowing over the river rocks can be heard from most parts of the farm. The land comprises Little Brown Mountain and has 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains and farmland with wonderful cloud formations and mists contributing their mystery and beauty to the dramatic landscape. There is an orchard with trees producing several varieties of apple, stone fruit and citrus in abundance. A cottage garden produces various vegetables and herbs such as spinach, celery, potatoes, garlic, chives, lettuce, rocket, parsley, turmeric, peas, beans, tomato etc. Past bushfire damage to some trees in the cleared paddocks is evident however, many are recovering well and most provide photographers with interesting and dramatic subject matter. Due to the catastrophic events of the NSW bush fires in this area all camp fires must be kept responsibly safe and no unsafe camp fires will be tolerated. All Guests are required to have an acceptable camp toilet, no holes in the ground. All river access points are shared, be mindful of others. As dogs are welcome and even well behaved dogs will be dogs when it comes to their family, all guests are advised to make themselves known prior to going near another's camp site, then there is no surprises either way.
