Fairleys is the ideal place for you to take in an authentic, unique and all-encompassing experience on your holiday. Our peaceful property is perfectly located 14km out of Jindabyne, approximately 5km to Lake Jindabyne and only a short trip to the ski resorts (30 kms to Thredbo and 46kms to Perisher.) At 1050m elevation, we can get quite heavy snowfalls on occasion in winter, and our close proximity to the ski fields is perfect for your ski/board holiday. We are also close to local mountain bike tracks and Thredbo for some downhill riding, some of the best trout fishing in Australia and Lake Jindabyne for water sports in the warmer months. Fairleys is a 300 acre farm, located at the end of the road- ensuring serenity and space. Stunning sunrises, sunsets and unique flora and fauna are common to all sites. We have a vast array of wildlife frequenting our land, as well as an ever changing collection of farm animals. Meeting and learning about our animals can be arranged while you stay with us. We offer dog friendly options (2 dog max) and pet minding services (on application) so you can take the opportunity to explore Kosciuszko National Park or hit the ski fields. Dogs must be on a lead at all times however we offer our site “The Yards” which is a fully enclosed 1/2 acre unpowered site. We do not allow generators, unless discussed prior with us. Currently, we have five unpowered sites. The Yards- enclosed and pet friendly. The Gums- secluded bush site. The Nook- tucked away in the valley The Flats-open, undulating with good access The Top Paddock- spectacular views, undesignated site great for large groups or multiple families Alternately you can choose to completely immerse yourself in the Snowy Mountains landscape at our spectacular Sirett’s Hut. A must for 4WD enthusiasts and avid hikers. Availability dependent on weather and access conditions. Pets on application. All sites are individual sites- plenty of room and no adjoining sites. Sirett’s Hut

“Sirett’s Hut” is located approximately 1.3 km from the main homestead. It was built by us, in 2020 and the traditional hut construction techniques and materials reflect that of our bushmen’s huts located in Kosciuszko National Park. Nestled in pristine bush, it overlooks the Main Range and the town of Jindabyne. Completely secluded and private, you can immerse yourself in the landscape and be at one with nature. This one is for the 4WD enthusiasts. Roof top tents and tents. High clearance 4WD access only as access is an up hill- down dale bush track, with some wash outs and roll overs. If we deem weather conditions too adverse (or have the potential to be) or the track conditions unsuitable, alternate arrangements for accommodation on an unpowered site at Fairleys can be made. Campers can also elect to walk in to the hut. The Hut has mobile reception, but no wifi. You must be fully self contained. The Yards

“The Yards” is a huge half acre unpowered site. It is fully fenced (ring lock farm fencing) and pet friendly, designed for those who love their space and want to provide their dogs with a bit of freedom off lead, to chase a ball or just the opportunity to stop tripping on dog runs and leads! It has mountain views and easy access to Bushy Park Rd, and the highway. It is an individual block, about 100 m from “Fairleys” homestead but has no adjoining van sites, and while being less secluded than other sites, it still offers privacy and room to swing some cats! Minimal levelling may be required. You must be fully self contained. The Nook

Nestled in White Gum forest, this site is private and peaceful. While only a short drive to the homestead, The Nook is secluded and provides ample room to spread out. Sensational views of the main range are just a brief walk up a hill, and all manner of wildlife frequents the area. Dogs are allowed on lead at this site, and fires are permitted pending local weather and fire conditions- in a designated fire pit. Some levelling may be required and phone reception may be patchy (just walk up the hill a bit for better service). You must be fully self contained. The Top Paddock

The Top Paddock is a huge open area, located at higher elevation than the other sites on Fairleys. This site can accommodate larger groups, with no allocated tent/trailer/van sites. Magnificent views of the main range can be observed from several vantage points around the site. The site is undulating to flat, and incorporates one of the property’s dams. Scattered gums, natural features and an abundance of Snowy Mountains flora and fauna make this site really special. The site is secluded, with no other sites within cooee. Access is via 4WD only track. You must be fully self contained. A Truly Memorable Stay at Sirett's

Sirett’s Hut
We had such a wonderful stay at Sirett's Hut. The location is peaceful, private and surrounded by beautiful bushland, making it the perfect place to switch off and enjoy nature. We stayed in the middle of winter, with a windy first evening that settled into a calm night, and woke to a stunning rainbow over the valley the next morning. It was absolutely magical. The hut itself is full of character and has everything you need for a comfortable and authentic High Country experience. Sitting around the fire at night was definitely one of the highlights. Cath was an exceptional host from the moment we booked. Communication was fantastic, she was incredibly welcoming, and the thoughtful welcome gifts made us feel right at home. Archie even received his own little gift bag with his name written on it and some special treats inside, which was such a lovely and personal touch. He absolutely loved exploring the property and, of course, his treats! Unfortunately, we received news of a family emergency and had to cut our trip short, but Cath was so understanding and genuinely caring during a stressful time. Her kindness really stood out and meant a lot to us. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway in Jindabyne with wonderful hosts, beautiful scenery and a truly unique High Country experience, I couldn't recommend Fairleys Snowy Stays highly enough. We'll definitely be back to finish the stay we had planned.

A Magical Stay A Sirret's Hut

Sirett’s Hut
Sirett’s Hut is a truly special place. It has that rare combination of rustic simplicity, complete peace and a real sense of escape. I spent my days exploring the surrounding country and my evenings beside a roaring fire, playing guitar, singing and watching the stars come out. The hut is comfortable, (though dress warm in Winter and that goes for bedding!) full of character and perfectly positioned for anyone wanting to slow down, reconnect with nature and enjoy some genuine solitude. It is not about luxury—it is about atmosphere, stillness and the simple pleasure of being somewhere that feels far removed from everyday life. I left feeling refreshed, inspired and a little reluctant to return to the real world. A magical stay, and somewhere I would gladly return to. The hosts Cath and Lindsay were warm, welcoming and easy to communicate with. They provided everything I needed while also giving me the space and privacy to enjoy the hut in my own way. Their care for the property is obvious, and they helped make the whole stay feel relaxed and uncomplicated.

A lovely place to camp especially when you want your dog to be off leash. Our puppy had a wonderful time. Camped during winter and the mist and light amongst the horses and gums were stunning. Thanks Cath for the treat bag - soaps, Bum Nuts (heeheehee), and dog treats were greatly appreciated. Our big puppy loved the treats. Communication with Cath was super efficient. Thanks heaps, had a wonderful time on your property.

My partner and I camped at the Nook with our dog and couldn’t recommend it more. Cath was a super friendly, welcoming host. The sites are private, well maintained and tucked in amongst the bush. Jindabyne is a short drive away, otherwise we throughly enjoyed walking the property and seeing all the wildlife. Highly recommend getting the bum nuts for breakfast, they were amazing! We are looking forward to camping here again. Thanks again for having us

Beautiful spot! We stayed in the Yard so we had a fenced area for the pups. So handy! Cath even looked after them for the day so we could explore the national park. Got a beautiful ‘party’ pack on arrival with eggs, soaps, herbs and eve treats for the dogs! So thoughtful. Lovely people, lovely spot.

We had a fantastic time staying at Caths property and she was a perfect host. The highlight was staying in the Yard, it was very peaceful and the dogs had an absolute blast being able to run around in such a large fenced in space. We will definitely be back!

Cath was super welcoming and had firewood ready to go, she even lent us some chairs and a lighter for the night! The property is so beautiful and peaceful and the directions were also really easy to follow :) If we are ever back in the area we will definitely be staying here!

Sirett’s Hut
Everything IMO was done exactly right- from the directions, meet and greet , some little goodies( totally unexpected) to the most beautiful camp site complete with a hut that could have come straight out of the late 1800s… level land, sensational view and su sets. Access for 4 wd only and primarily for rooftops or tents… not only would we have stayed longer if we could have, but dog care ($60 per day) was a huge bonus for our time in the nearby National parks. Thanks Cath, lindsay and Angie!

We loved our stay at Siretts Hut, it was so enjoyable & relaxing we extended our stay. We took our off road camper up for sleeping & used the hut for cooking & keeping warm at night by the fire. Our dog loved the freedom although we had to keep her close as we didn’t want her disturbing the native animals. We did lots of bush walks & enjoyed the magnificent views. Cath is a wonderful host & we appreciated the gifts or farm fresh eggs, herbs, soaps & doggy treats. We can’t wait to return.

This was a great spot for us and our two fur babies. 'The Yards' was a great option and allowed our dogs ample space to get the zoomies and explore off leash without needing to watch them like a hawk. The entire property was really well maintained and it was so lovely to meet a friendly host in Cath and receive some farm goodies for both us and the dogs. The main house was nearby but it never felt like it interfered with our privacy and experience. The location is really convenient to the township of Jindabyne and all it has to offer.

The Perfect High Country Retreat

Fairley’s is a secluded and peaceful hideaway in the hills of East Jindabyne. We chose The Yards as our home for 2 nights, and with our dog, it was the perfect stay for all of us. Plenty of room to run for her, and a beautiful wide open space for us with views across the valleys and ranges. Cath greeted us at the gate and is the perfect host, showing us where to park our camper, and presenting us with our guests gift bag, containing fresh produce from their farm and some special treats for the pooch. We also took a stroll over to see Sirett’s Hut (another camping option). What an amazing recreation of an authentic high country hut to seek shelter in, to cook, eat and sit around the fire. If we return to Jindabyne, Fairley’s will be our number 1 choice of places to camp. Hands down a solid winner for those who like being outdoors 🙌🏼🫶🏼

The hosts were great and very welcoming. It’s a really good camp spot with a nice bit of bush around it and plenty of space to relax. Easy access to Thredbo and also very convenient for getting into Jindabyne. Everything was straightforward and hassle-free. Would definitely stay again and would happily use this spot in the future.

We felt so lucky to spend a few nights on this beautiful bushy block just outside of Jindabyne. It was flat and spacious with an abundance of wildlife.
