Located only 8 minutes drive from the historical town of Stroud which was settled by the AA Company in the 1820's as a food growing area. There are still many beautiful buildings from that period to explore.
A dairy farm for many years, we switched over to beef around 15 years ago. Currently we run around 120 head of Angus and mixed breed cattle.
Within 3 hours drive of Sydney and around an hour from the Barrington National Parks, Newcastle, Maitland, Forster and Nelson Bay, it makes it the perfect destination for a weekend getaway!
We are offering 6 beautiful, partly shaded, camping sites along the pristine Upper Karuah River. All sites are separated for privacy and are all right on the edge of the river.
There are plenty of opportunities for bird watching, hiking, swimming, kayaking, fishing (in summer), star gazing or just relaxing.
All sites are site only and no toilet or shower facilities are provided. You will need to bring your own camping toilet or self contained caravan/ camper (dump point is located in Stroud township)

Nestled right up against the escarpment at an elevation of 450m, this high-end, off-grid 40 acre property effectively offers your own private slice of Macquarie Pass National Park - amazing views, giant cedar trees, fern forests, cascading waterfalls and palms surround.
It feels remote but it's only 90 min from Sydney, 30 min to Kiama and just 15 min to the shops. The property also offers the only hiking path up to the top of the escarpment for some truly amazing views.
As of September 2025, many of the trails on the property have been degraded by the rains and are now challenging for 2WD cars. If you're towing or it's wet we recommend AWD or 4WD vehicles.
Since this is coastal rainforest and it has been very wet, expect leeches anywhere it is damp. These are easily kept at bay with deet and or trousers tucked into socks.
We're not particularly price sensitive - until all those rate rises - but we are extremely value sensitive so we set out to make your stay extremely good value for your hard earned money. The land itself does most of the heavy lifting but also personal service and of course there's Lana to fall in love with.
Note, Mellows Rd is 2.6km long and rises 400m - in parts the road is a 15 degree grade. It's all paved but narrow so if you are towing a large heavy load, it's going to strain your car.

100 acres of secluded paradise with a kilometer of free flowing pebbled creek. Bound on two sides by the craggy escarpments of the Budgong and Morton National Parks there is ample grassland to give a feeling of space yet an abundance of trees to wander through as you engage with the tame wildlife and magnificent birdlife.
Bring your mountain bike, fishing rod, swimmers, hiking boots, tennis racket, basketball (a hoop on the tennis court) or climbing gear and leave the kids in the play area while you sit by the creek and listen to the water tumbling through the rocks.
If you are as intrigued by rare animals as we are, then this is the place for you. 63 Bird species, 24 mammals, 16 reptiles, and 12 amphibians have been sighted in the area (Clarke 2012) and this includes many rare and endangered species including the platypus, brush-tailed rock wallaby, Giant burrowing frog, Gang-gang cockatoo, Glossy black-cockatoo, Koala, Little Lorikeet and the Yellow-bellied glider.
We only have five campsites at present, so you will be guaranteed peace, space and privacy. with a minimum of 300m between all sites. Please note, that your group must be self-contained, with their own camp toilet, however fresh drinking water is available.
Access is into a valley on a well maintained unsealed road but there are some minor causeways making it unsuitable for busses or long low slung vans. An ordinary sedan will do for Billabong and Dad's camp sites but you will need some power for towing and a 4x4 to tow out in any rain. Riverbend and the Crossing sites are only suitable for 4x4's and off-road vans / trailers.

Bimbimbi is located at the free flowing, clear beginning of the Murray River, at Tintaldra. We have 5 separate sites. Each site is for a single group, so you know you will only have yourselves in close proximity. Each site has access to the river, although The Fishing Hole, River Red Gums and The Big Bend have better access than The Willows and The Old Pump Hole. Swimming, fishing for Murray Cod, hiking along the river bank (we have 3km of frontage), bird watching, relaxing are typical things to do here. Or, if you are more adventurous, the Upper Murray is a great area for canoeing and kayaking, or go for a longer hike up Pine Mountain in the Pine Mountain National Park. Or, bring your mountain or road bikes and do some cycling on the picturesque roads and trails.
The campsites are well spaced out, with a minimum of 200 metres between the nearest two locations. In fact, it either impossible or very difficult to see anyone else at the other camp sites from your own camp site.
Each camp site is accessible via its own track, so you won't have other vehicles driving past your camp site. We have a Leave No Trace policy, please take all rubbish with you. (This also means not throwing bottles, cans, bottle tops, aluminium foil and other non-biodegradable items into the camp fire.) Dogs are allowed, but please keep them under control, particularly if near cattle. Campfires are allowed only in braziers provided, when fire bans are not in place. You can gather your own firewood or purchase firewood from us (see "Extras"). Please arrive before dark if you haven't been here before. It is difficult to understand a new camp site in the dark. We provide a toilet at each location, for your convenience and the cleanliness of the camp site in general. Nothing but your human deposit and toilet paper in the toilet please. No disposable wipes, nappies etc. Please put these in your trash. Also, bring your drone but use it only over locations that are not occupied.
Our own beef and local lamb is also now available to purchase. And, again, wood for purchase if you don't want to gather your own. Please see "Extras"

Our campground is on my family’s dairy farm that has been in the family since 1904. I’m the 4th generation on the farm and work alongside my parents and my husband operating the family business of milking cows.
The campsite is on a private area of flat ground right beside the Oxley River with views of Mt Warning.
We are excited to share our piece of paradise with others. We DO have a composting toilet but DON’T have any shower facilities.
Although the creek is very close by we advise you bring your own drinking water.
We are pleased to provide a gravelled campfire area along with a gorgeous outdoor setting that seats 8.
Our campground provides a unique private camping opportunity. Once you book whether it is for a group of one or 25 no one else can book the site. The site is not visible from the road. Perfect for a relaxing getaway that brings you close to nature and connecting with friends.

Cabin at Valley's End is our flagship accommodation at Figtree Farm. Having 3-bedrooms and 3 bathrooms it is an ideal place for a relaxing weekend. The cabin has flat ground on 2 sides which allows for additional campers (up to 20 people). In wet weather, 2WD and AWD may need to park a short distance downhill from the cabin.
In addition we offer 3 creek-side camp sites which have plenty of room for large groups; they are all situated on well drained, grassy open spaces beside the creek. In wet conditions you will need a 4WD to access these sites. Also in wet conditions they are not suitable for large caravans (in excess of 21 feet) unless you have some serious towing power (Landrover or RAM, for example).
Figtree Farm has an abundance of bird and animal life. Here, tranquillity reigns, save for the occasional call of our friendly neighbourhood donkeys and the odd rooster. If you wish to wander further afield, Wiangaree is 15 minutes away and Kyogle is a 30 minute drive south. For those who enjoy a game of tennis there is an all weather tennis court (with lights) nearby at Bundgeam Hall.
Figtree Farm at Findon Creek promises opportunities for contemplation, relaxation and fun and it is our wish that you will have many happy memories of your visit here.

We have been working the last few years on Rewilding the land and it is the healthiest it has been in my lifetime. Encompassing salt marsh, casuarina forests, open grassland and gumtree groves there is an incredible diversity of species to be found on this relatively small property. Bordered by Mangrove Creek it is protected on all sides by sandstone mountains yet remains sunny and open. A lush and powerful place.

Also please note that due the closure of the Great Western Highway there is currently an increase in traffic volume going past our property. Our usually quite nights are not as quiet. The campers I have had since this has happened did not seem to be too impacted by it, but if you are wanting complete quietness then maybe wait until the Highway is re-opened.
Our property is located in the Blue Mountains, nestled right in the middle of the national park and all that the Blue Mountains bush has to offer. Gums, ferns, fresh air and swimming holes.
I only allow one group to camp at any one time per site. Other groups will be well away from you. However the dam is available for everyone to use. I adjust each booking with each group depending on size of the group and time of year. I also hold large events so will book out the entire site for large groups.
Just a short drive from Sydney (1 ½ hours from Parramatta) but a world away with its ancient forests and meandering pathways. All photos are from the site or within a 2km walk of the camping site in National Park or reserve. Please note that the canyon photos are from a spot that is very difficult to get to.
I welcome self-contained campers with your own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. However there are facilities on site for smaller groups at an extra cost.
The property offers a number of sites that can accommodate various group numbers. Please message me if you're interested in booking one or more listings for your special get together.
Dogs are welcome as long as they are friendly, but no cats please. Also please be aware that we are surrounded by nature and part of nature are the snakes and ticks.
- we need to keep this environment for the wildlife. Please take all your belongings and rubbish with you when you leave. Leave it better than as you found it.
Please be aware that due to our proximity to the road and rail that at times you will hear some traffic noise. But most times it is very quiet except for the frogs.

This was our 4th time at Willow Banks, first time with the Grandchildren. They absolutely loved it as much as we do. Thank you to Jo and Ian for once again being wonderful and friendly hosts. A big thank you to Ian for the tour of the property, we absolutely enjoyed hearing and seeing the history of your family property, was a privilege. We absolutely loved waking up to see and hear the cows and their calves, kids loved feeding the horses an apple. Definitely will be back, camp grounds are so well kept and private. The river is so tranquil and relaxing.

Thankyou for another gorgeous and relaxing trip to Willowbank. The sites are huge and extremely well kept, the river was crystal clear for swimming and sitting on the riverbank watching nature is just magical, we love the peacefulness and the fact you are nowhere near your neighbours and you are close to town should you need anything. Willowbank is a true, beautiful relaxing getaway and our hosts are super lovely. See you in November! 😃

Great little camp close to the zoo and Woolworths etc only a short drive up the road. The sites are very spaced out and its nice and quiet.
Would definitely stay here again in the future.

Wonderful stay, loved the quiet and privacy of the site, complete with waterhole! The hosts were great and Andrzej went above and beyond slashing a track for us to 4WD and get up close to the Border Ranges to then bush walk, not for the faint hearted but very rewarding. Also amazing to find out that Jim Flower was Jane’s Dad, all the great work him and others did to protect the pristine rainforest on the plateau from being logged back in the day. Will definitely be back.

A beautiful camping spot! So private and quiet. Crystal clear creeks, great hiking and an abundance of wildlife. Hosts went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Great campsite, especially for us with young kids. This was our first time camping as a family, and we are so glad we chose here for our first go! We could see other campers nearby but they were far enough away for it to still be private. We unfortunately had to leave early due to weather however we would 100% return! The location was also great, very close to town and local shops. Cows and Roos were cute. 10/10!

Return guests 3rd time, can not fault Willow bank. From the the host that go above and beyond, escorting you to your camp site and ensuring you are well looked after. The sites are spread out and private along the river bank and the river is beautiful. Lucky to see the fire flies this trip and absolutely love the serenity. As always a big thank you to Jo and Ian for there hospitality., Highly recommend to everyone. Willow Banks is that brilliant we are returning again next weekend with the Grandchildren so they too can experience the wonder of Willow Bank.

From the get go we were greeted by Joanne and Ian, great people friendly. The site was amazing with fire pit and wood already onsite. Heaps of shaded area but enough sun up the top to keep the solar batteries charged.
We will definitely be back and can’t wait to try the other sites. Fantastic location to Stroud and Gloucester.

Our second time staying at the Oxley and we absolutely loved it. We have stayed at Warning View site a few times and it is a pretty close call on which is best but we’ve decided this is better site for us.
So peaceful and quiet with the sound of the birds, running water and breezes providing the perfect soundtrack. A swim in the waterhole 2 minutes walk downriver was a wonderful way to freshen up and the stars at night are unbelievable!
We love the grassy site and the convenience of having firewood already onsite (preordered) and hosts that are responsive and easy to deal with really makes this the best campsite ever. We’ll be back again soon 😉

Maintained camp that matches the description. Hosts were very accommodating and the free fire wood was a lovely bonus. Cleanest toilet and shower I have seen in a long time! Have already recommended to some fellow campers heading that way
