Ghost Gums at Bungonia

1 site · RV, Tent25 acres · Bungonia, NSW
Bush property of 10 hectares with a private secluded camp area. Only one group at a time so the space is all yours, please let me know of any special requests. Includes drop toilet (BYO toilet paper) and plenty of firewood so please don't cut down trees. 2WD access and access for caravans, camper trailers, camper vans. Wouldn't recommend for large motorhomes. Campfires permitted in designated areas, help yourself to the firewood (for use on property only). Also bring your own drinking water but there is non-drinking water available. There's lots of native wildlife on the property so dogs by request only as I want to keep them both safe. There are two shelter areas near the shed & container you can use. Bungonia National Park and Marulan Township are well worth a look.

On the Stone River Retreat

1 site · RV, Tent100 acres · Bathurst, NSW
Unwind in the seclusion of this private and safe bush camping site on the banks of the Wambuul-Macquarie River in the remote Killongbutta valley located half-way between Bathurst and Orange. It’s a place where time stands still. Enabling you to reconnect with nature as you slow down and embrace the sounds of the river, wildlife and sheoaks when they ‘whisper secrets to the wind’. Many stories and dreamings have come from this place which guarantees to inspire your imagination as an artist, writer, poet or musician. You have access to 100 acres of bushland or enjoy a walk along Killongbutta Road which winds its way through spectacular Wiradjuri country where ancient stone quarries, corroboree sites and a warrior’s grave have been found. Platypus, water dragons and river rats all live in the river. Be prepared to share the site with wombats who have burrowed their homes into the banks. Road access to site is suitable for 2WD in dry weather. It is a short, steep drop with two tight corners not suitable for large caravans and RVs. The site has a newly constructed long drop toilet, pets are allowed and firewood is supplied. Please take all rubbish with you. Please note: Kids under 12 are free to support young families wanting to experience the bush. Please still add them to the booking as they will not be charged. What is not allowed: shooters and trappers, illegal fishing, motor bikes, quad bikes, chainsaws, and other noisy machines! Killongbutta Road runs off Freemantle Road and is 36 kms from Bathurst. It is 40 kilometres from Orange through Gowan Road that joins Lower Lewis Ponds Road. For your information, On the Stone is a podcast and publishing studio that produces a quarterly magazine for the Freemantle Road community. We have local history to share and can always provide information about our services. We look forward to providing exclusive access to our river site for campers who will appreciate and respect this place which is our home.

97 missabotti Rd missabotti wia ora

1 site · RV, Tent105 acres · Macksville, NSW
My property consists of 100 acres with two rivers joining in the property with at least 1 km of river frontage. We are located in the foothills of the Nambucca valley. Pristine beaches are 20 minutes away, mountains and four-wheel drive tracks are a quick 20 minutes the other way. From here it's 15 minutes to Bellingen, 25 minutes to the famous Pub With No Beer and 5 minutes to the historic "verandah posts" town of Bowraville. Here you will find beautiful bird watching, animals and wildlife. Park your car or set up your caravan next to the river where you will wake up to amazing views. Enjoy a peaceful walk along the riverbank, breathe in the fresh clean air, try a spot of fishing or sit back and enjoy some bird watching. Warm your feet by the campfire in the evenings. We're located 20 minutes from Nambucca Heads as well as Scotts Heads beaches, and 30 minutes from Taylors Arm. A quick trip up into the foothills will take you to some great 4WD and mountain biking tracks, or you can explore the region and visit the historical Pub With No Beer. You need to be a self-contained camper with your own camping toilet/shower. There is access to drinking water, a picnic table and rubbish facilities. We recommend 4WDs to access the campsite and the river but 2WDs are ok. Your pet is welcome to camp with you.

Sit back on this beautiful 100 acre property and enjoy the sunset from your campsite with breathtaking country views, watch the stars from the bed of a vintage pickup truck or sit by the dam amongst the plethora of kangaroos and wombats roaming around uninhibited from the hustle and bustle of city life. Nearby Bungonia National Park boasts some breathtaking views and challenging hikes situated on the Shoalhaven river. The camp is located on 100 acres of unique grasstree forest in Taloumbi, NSW. We are just 10 minutes off the Pacific Highway, between Maclean and Brooms Head. The camp is currently set up for private use for one booking, where the guest booking can park at the covered deck space and have use of the deck, shower and toilet for just themselves. The deck is a great spot to enjoy the rising sun, yoga and meditation. Hooks are attached to the post for hammocks, so please relax and enjoy your time at Groundswell. The site is also great for larger groups but we have not set up the booking platform that way so it gives the option to most parties to have the site to themselves. Groups are welcome. Please contact the host for group bookings larger than 12. This could be organized where the deck area is a communal space and the shower and toilet are shared by the group. All campsites are flat and some cleared play spaces available for kicking balls, games, frisbee, etc. There is a sink with filtered rain water on the deck, an instant gas hot water shower behind the main deck and also a compost toilet. There is a small solar power set up to run the sink and shower pump. The site in OFF-GRID on tank water only, so it is important to be mindful of water use and make sure taps are off when not in use. In consideration of future guest do not wash your motor home or caravan with the tank water, or refill your tanks as this site is rainwater only. Bring your own cooker, lights and chairs. Pets are welcome, but must be on a leash if guest are away or if they are a threat to wildlife. There are families of kangaroos, wallabies and endangered coastal emu’s that we love and would like to keep safe. We are very lucky to have the emus here and provide information as citizen scientist to those researching them. If you fancy spotlighting in the evening, you may see sugar gliders, micro bats, possums, bandicoots, and owls on the prowl. There is a small orchard next to the camp site and you can help yourself to any ripe fruits. We continue to work on permaculture projects and improve the sites design with a good vision for the future of the Groundswell Project. You can swim in the dam when full. Enjoy a meditation or sunset drink over looking the dam and admiring the wildlife that also use the watering hole. Fires are allowed, except during total fire bans, in the contained pits only and put out at night. There is plenty of firewood to collect on site. Mosquitos come and go depending on weather or season. It is good to be prepared with coils, nets on your bed or sprays just in case. Access the camp at the front gate (address provided at booking) and follow the sign to the Hipcamp. Access is 2wd accessible and good for caravans, or larger RV’s etc. The Spa at Groundswell is now open at the owners home. Please contact the host for massage and magnesium bath menu. Limited times available. We are currently working on a network of trails inside of the 100 acres. Until complete, parts of the perimeter of the property are cleared and can be walked from Grasstree Drive to Wallaby Lane. There is a "TRAIL" sign at the start of the trail behind the orchard. Please take all of your rubbish and recycling. There is a waste station in Townsend on the way back to the highway or at the Yuraygir National Park if staying there after us. Phone service is best with Telstra. Our nearest beaches are also just 5-10 minutes at the Yuraygir National Park, Lake Aragon/ Redcliff Campground entrance and the beautiful quiet beach town of Brooms Head. Brooms Head has a general store and a snack shack with great snacks, coffee and convenient essentials. Dogs are not allowed in the national park, but there is a dog beach north from the Lake Cakora bridge in Brooms Head and also back beach in Brooms Head, south of the headland. Fishing, boating, spear fishing, surfing, diving, snorkeling, kayaking, kite surfing, motor bike trails (Candole State Forest), coastal walks, beach walks, etc. The Yuraygir coastal walk spans 65 km’s from Angourie in Yamba, to Red Rock. For a one night camp on the trailing walking north, you can camp and the pristine beaches at Shelley’s. And if leaving from Lake Aragon or Brooms Head, the next camp south is at The Sandon. Harper Farms

2 sites · RVs, Tents700 acres · Cangai, NSW
Harper Farms is a fourth generation, family owned cattle property out of the small township of Cangai; just 50 minutes west of Grafton. Located along the Mann River, just one kilometre off the Gwydir Highway, campers will find easy access to our riverfront site. The property is bordered by the Dandahra Creek and the Mann River, and boasts a variety of native bird and wildlife; peacocks, platypus, ducks and the occasional pelican to name a few. The Mann River is open to fishing November - July; and is a local favourite as a kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding and swimming destination. Beef cattle and stock horses have been run continuously on the property since the early 1900s, and our friendly horses and cows will often pay a visit to the campsite. Along with our working dogs, we also run a small breeding kennel of Golden Retrievers and Border Collies. Dogs are always welcome on the farm, and we simply ask that camp visitors keep them under their control during their stay. A small shop with basic amenities (groceries, camp supplies, fishing bait, fuel) is located at Jackadgery; a 15 minutes drive east on the Gwydir Highway. To the west of Harper Farms lies the Gibraltar Range which hosts Washpool National Park with walking trails, waterfalls, rainforest and swimming areas. Away from the city lights, the Cangai area offers exceptional stargazing and is popular with keen astronomers and photographers. Our property currently hosts one large campsite; ideal for family and large group gatherings. Booking the site includes complete privacy for your group whether large or small. Our family and friends have gathered at Harper Farms for over a century to enjoy the beauty of the Cangai area, and we are excited for you to come “Camp Cangai” too!
