Nestled right up against the escarpment at an elevation of 450m, this high-end, off-grid 40 acre property effectively offers your own private slice of Macquarie Pass National Park - amazing views, giant cedar trees, fern forests, cascading waterfalls and palms surround. It feels remote but it's only 90 min from Sydney, 30 min to Kiama and just 15 min to the shops. The property also offers the only hiking path up to the top of the escarpment for some truly amazing views. As of September 2024, all the trails on the property have been massively upgraded and are passable with a 2WD car. If you're towing or it's wet we still recommend AWD or 4WD vehicles. We've just (mid December) added a spa half way up the driveway. It can be booked through the extras. We're not particularly price sensitive - until all those rate rises - but we are extremely value sensitive so we set out to make your stay extremely good value for your hard earned money. The land itself does most of the heavy lifting but also personal service and of course there's Lana to fall in love with.

The Dwayne - magical walk in
We were the first people to camp here and it was AMAZING! obv will be needing some upkeep for a proper trail down etc but we felt like we were sleeping in the jungle. Sunrise was so so beautiful and we felt like we were away from the world for the night. Such a cool experience

Tree Fern Terrace
The site we stayed at was beautiful and nestled into the hillside called Fern Tree Terrace. The host was really friendly and it was good to have a toilet onsite. The reception and wifi was limited which we liked. The cicadas were SO UNBELIEVABLY LOUD. It’s the time of year and they’re out in force this season but we basically had to have headphones in during the morning and at dusk for over an hour. The rest of the site is interesting - the host is expanding the number of sites but I would be cautious in recommending them - they are sort of just extended shoulders in a red dirt road. We had to pass a number of them when travelling in and out and I felt bad because of the noise and dust and they didn’t look comfortable. The extras were handy for anyone flush but I’d take my own firewood. You’d be more comfortable in a 4WD for this particular site in case any weather came over. All in all we would visit the Fern Tree Terrace site again - it was very quiet and secluded and a great spot to stay when seeing the coast.

Hidden Terrace
Great stay, beautiful location and very private. Ian and Claire were wonderful hosts, even got a private walk with Lana (their beautiful dog) and met one of their cats. Would highly recommend

Upper terrace
Tranquil stay
We loved our stay at the Upper terrace. A steep climb was rewarded with a tranquil setting. Our hosts were readily available and always helpful. We will be back for sure!

Stump no more - sheltered with view
What a great spot. Can't believe you are so close to town and yet completely surrounded by nature. Ian and his wife provide any amenity you can think of.
