Oakey Ridge – Nature, Views & Wildlife on a Pet-Friendly Farm Nestled in the scenic hills between Lismore and Nimbin on our peaceful 277-acre beef cattle farm. This is a place to unplug, unwind, and reconnect with nature. The property features a running creek, seasonal waterfalls, subtropical rainforest pockets, and open ridge lines with sweeping views. Our bushland is home to abundant wildlife – keep an eye out for wallabies, native birds, and if you’re lucky, a koala drinking from our treetop water stations. 🐾 Pet-Friendly: We love dogs, and they love it here too! Many of our guests bring their furry friends along for the adventure. There’s plenty of space to explore, just keep them supervised and under control around livestock and wildlife. 🌿 Nature & Adventure: Explore our designated nature corridor, take a peaceful walk, or hike up to one of our lookouts. For those with a 4WD, parts of the property offer even more to discover. 🚗 2WD Access: No 4WD? No worries! All main campsites are 2WD accessible and well spaced for privacy and comfort. 🛁 Clean Facilities: We provide simple, clean, and well-maintained amenities to make your stay comfortable. 🌱 Regeneration in Progress: We’re proud to be actively involved in land regeneration and sustainable farming practices, working to support biodiversity and a healthy future for the land. (You must own a 4wd to book one of these sites) We have many tracks around the property to find areas from private creek frontage, shaded valleys or elevated hilltops with views for kilometers. We endeavour to make all our sites as private and where we can. Oakey Ridge is nestled in the hills between Lismore and Nimbin. This 270ac property with a running creek, dry rainforest pockets, nature corridors, views, seasonal waterfalls and abundant wildlife running as a quiet beef cattle farm. 
 if you are after late night stargaze around the fire or an early start to enjoy the sunrise, its like having the farm to yourself. From scenic high ridge lines to peaceful valleys there are many options to choose from. Finding that perfect spot is only limited by your imagination, Disconnect from every day life and enjoy the outdoors, Connect with your friends and family around the campfire, and if you need to keep in touch with the bustle, we have good Telstra mobile reception over most of the property and offer free wifi around camp kitchen. you can still have access to our bathroom with flushing toilets and hot shower. We also have a camp kitchen with hot water, kettle, fridge and BBQ . 
Lots to do in the local area, we are located 25 mins to both Nimbin & Lismore and 1 hour to Byron Bay.

Oakey Ridge is nestled in the hills between Lismore and Nimbin. This 270ac property with a running creek, dry rainforest pockets, nature corridors, views, seasonal waterfalls and abundant wildlife running as a quiet beef cattle farm. 
Our main camping area stretches 900m along a ridge line that captures views from every direction. It is 2WD accessible and have many designated sites to choose from or create your own site if you wish. Within minutes walking distance to the bathroom and camp kitchen while still offering privacy and views of the property. If your 4WD & camping enthusiast and want that remote isolated camp spot We have many tracks around the property to find areas from private creek frontage, shaded valleys or elevated hilltops with views for kilometers. Our 4wd tracks are weather dependent if wanting to remote 4WD camp message first so can get an idea of your requirements and make some suggestions and prepare a site. 
We endeavour to make all our sites as private and where we can, out of view of other campers, whether its a late night stargaze around the fire or an early start to enjoy the sunrise, its like having the farm to yourself. What incredible hosts, Greg and Shane had answers to any questions we had and helped us out with a few camp hiccups… just wonderful 10/10! We’ll be seeing you again soon with our pup! Our stay was fantastic. Very private and peaceful - just what we were after. The campsites are very far apart. We camped on the ridgeline so enjoyed beautiful sunsets and sun rises. Greg and his family were great hosts. We would definitely recommend this camp.

Had an unreal time at Oakey Ridge! The campsite was beautiful, peaceful and a great spot to get away and relax. Greg was fantastic from start to finish — really friendly, helpful and made us feel very welcome. Couldn’t fault the experience and we’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend Oakey Ridge to anyone!

Spacious, green, clean - had lots of room for my group of 6-8 friends. Felt private and free - no other campers anywhere near our site. Portable toilet was 50m away, and was just our group using it. While some sites are much closer to the shower and camp kitchen, we were a 5 min drive / 10 min walk. As the site is so spacious, I’d recommend organising own water/shower/food/stove - saves the time trekking down to the facilities. If wanting to cook, I’d recommend bringing own stove, equipment, utensils etc. Camp kitchen has a kettle, microwave, big fridge, and a Weber. Theres a couple of mugs but not much in the way of plates, cutlery, tongs, spatula etc. Nice communal lounge and dining table to sit at. Also recommend: - bringing own firewood if staying up late and for multiple nights - bringing a shade structure on a sunny/hot weekend Staff were friendly and helpful. Super laid back and easy to talk to. We got to get up close to the cows too :) It’s a beautiful spot and feel rejuvenated after getting fresh air and lots of sun. Also saw fireflies!!! Thank you for having us stay.

We had the most wonderful stay at this magical property. Greg was so incredibly accommodating and welcoming, and he made my friends and I feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The property itself is absolutely beautiful, so peaceful and incredibly well maintained, with clean and tidy facilities. It was the perfect place to celebrate and spend some quality time with friends. We’re so grateful for the hospitality and the beautiful space Greg has created. We would wholeheartedly recommend this property to anyone looking for a special getaway, and we will 100% be back! ❤️

Epic. Straight up, Greg is a legend of a human. Very accommodating and friendly, helped us.out heaps. The site- awesome, private and so much life around. Plenty of birds, frogs etc making heaps of noise, little creek near us gave a very nice flow to fall asleep too. Will 100% be back as soon as we can

I have camped at a lot of Hipcamp sites and I can say hands down that Greg and his crew were the best hosts I’ve ever dealt with. Greg was so easy to communicate with the whole time. And once we arrived him and his crew were so friendly and accommodating. They gave us lots of space to enjoy the serenity of our campsite. The ridge line was absolutely stunning and so so peaceful. We do it have one complaint about our experience here and our group will certainly be back.

Absolute perfect spot to switch off for a few days We camped at ‘remote camp site’, sunsets were amazing and the distance between neighbouring campers was perfect, allowing our 2 dogs to run freely without interruption. Greg was super lovely and friendly, and was happy to help out bring up firewood when needed Shayne his offsider was absolutely amazing! We got stuck In a bit of bother when then rain came though making it quite slippery getting back to camp one afternoon, Shayne was absolutely more then happy to grab the tractor and lead us across another paddock to get to camp safely 10/10 hosts 10/10 camp site and clean ammenities Will definitely be back

The campsite is very beautiful, we really loved the spot. Despite of offering such a beautiful site, the best part was the hospitality. Greg was away, so Shane & David accompanied us to the remote camp site with some guidances on off-roading. We took the running creek/Lions road back to Brisbane. that was also rewarding with viewpoint like Pinnacle Point Lookout. We will be back 😬

Had a great time away for the weekend. The property is amazing with even better views. There is a great little camp kitchen with everything you could need. Host was very accommodating and drove us around to possible camp locations till we found the perfect one. Really had a great weekend will be back

Greg the legend. Super helpful guy and full of hospitality. We arrived as Greg was heading to work, but he still made the time to show us around the camp and make us feel at home for the night. Would 100% recommend Greg’s place to mates in the area.
