We loved Stoney Camp! Right on the creek, the sound of running water as you drift off to sleep 👌🏼. Sites are well maintained. Clean toilets walking distance from the sites. Site was private - perfect for our group.

Excellent place to camping, surrounded by wildlife and with great hosts.
We forgot to read some rules about collect firewood and the host was very calm and polite to give the right instructions to us.
Strongly recommend!

Lovely site out the back of the property away from everyone. Close to the swimming section of the creek with a nice fire pit and places to hitch a tent or rooftop.
Lots of wildlife and a very relaxing weekend!

Loved camping at sarabah stub in particular lower platypus camp spot. Plenty of room and shade on the lower section. Lots of distance between sites and very peaceful. Saw lots of turtles but not the elusive platypus. Thanks for having us.

Stoney Camp
This was our second time booking at Sarabah Stud, Stoney Creek site and we are already talking about the next trip there.
Great location, owners are lovely & welcoming. Toilet is clean, although a little bit of a walk at that site so I’d recommend taking you own.
This place is stunning & the owners clearly look after it. Thank you for having us & we can’t wait for our next visit.

Great spot, would highly recommend lower platypus if you have a large van like we do, because its close to the creek.
We checked out all the other sites and they are all well maintained and the provided toilet for each site a bonus. Spotless and well maintained.
Do yourself a favor and drive down to the swimming hole, breath taking ❤️

Corn Patch
We really enjoyed our stay at the Corn Patch. There was plenty of space and the site had a fire pit, a picnic table, and a toilet. The area is very nice and relaxing with a swimming spot a short walk from the site. We would definitely come back again.

We loved camping on Lower Platypus at Sarabah Stud. We had a direct view of the creek, where we saw a large variety of birdlife, turtles and a shy platypus.
During the day we swam in the nearby waterhole and at night sat beside the fire and looked at the stars.
Sites are well spaced out.

Loved our 2 night stay at the Mulberry Tree. Very quiet spot being at the far end of the campsites, plenty of room for our caravan and car. Our hosts were great and very welcoming. Highly recommend this idyllic spot. Cattle roaming around, the occasional kangaroo and if your very, very quiet platypus are there to be seen.

The welcome from Mandy (I think that was her name, I was blown away by her cheerfulness and friendly attitude and forgot her name), and Nathan. They were great. All the areas were nice, and a nice touch about the electric fencing to keep the cows away. Loved the cows and their calves.
The swimming hole was a pleasant way of cooling down from the heat of the day.
I stayed at the Mulberry patch with my van and it was a great place to relax, although I left my levelling pads behind. Thanks again for the opportunity to experience Sarabah.

Platypus Hole
I loved staying at Sarabah stud. I was greeted by the lovely Jacqui and Nathan soon after I arrived and I felt very welcomed to the land. Platypus Hole is a beautiful site tucked away beside the creek. There’s plenty of flat, lush green grass to camp on, in an area that’s elevated a little bit up and back from the creek and fire pit.
It’s super serene, quiet and peaceful and the sites are distanced from each other so there’s lots of privacy. The swimming hole is at a different part of the creek and an easy walk to get to. Having a refreshing dip in the water as the sun goes down at the end of a summer’s day was a highlight of the stay. I also met Robert and he was a very welcoming and generous host.
Thanks so much for my stay. I will be back to this beautiful, inspiring bush haven.

Always an amazing time. Beautiful piece of land with easy access to activities, shops, wineries and restaurants nearby. Nathan was a great host, friendly and relaxed. Can’t wait to get back again.

Lovely spot by the water! Spotted lots of wildlife, will have to come back to try and spot a platypus! Watering hole was beautiful to swim in, especially on a hot day.
Clean amenities provided. The host was lovely and checked in with us after we set up.
Will definitely be back!

The place was beautiful 🌿, the toilet was clean, A fire place was perfect 👌 (we recommend bringing fire wood). Access was super easy, with many signs that made finding the place quick, and we received a very warm welcome from Robert, We had access to a river where we swam the next day and even we saw turtles! A place full of peace and tranquility! We are definitely thinking to back there ☺️. 100% recommended.

Stayed here for two nights mid week and haven’t felt so relaxed in along time!
Camped in the stoney creek camp site and swam in the creek. Water was running and was nice to listen to laying in the swag. Saw the resident platypus on the first morning but missed it this morning.
10/10 for me and my daughters who don’t camp are begging me to take them next time. The cows were an extra bonus. I will be back!

Yes it was a very lovely spot.
Very quiet ,we did have some noisy neighbors across the river but that's a totally different farm.
Pretty rare also to have anyone across there.

Overall, relatively good experience - however, the site on Hipcamp seemed a bit misleading as the site we got to was completely bare in a field with no trees or cover whereas the listing made it appear as though it was under a tree with a creek. The tree and creek was a no camping zone 50-100m away. We also got unlucky with extremely hot temperatures followed by torrential downpour.

The site was in such a lovely spot, with great access to a waterhole, beautiful views of the landscape and a peaceful sense of solitude. The owners were also super welcoming and helpful. Will definitely be coming back!

Platypus Hole
Camping spots were very private. I chose to stay at “Platypus Hole”which was a lovely spot. Unfortunately I didn’t see any platypus however there were plenty of turtles. The swimming hole was about 500m away.
It wasn’t the greatest spot for my small motor home, as the trees at the entrance were very low, and I was concerned about damaging the solar panels, air con & tv aerial on the roof. I won’t be able to check these out until I get home. The turning circle was small so it took many manouvres to turn the vehicle around after realizing it was much better to drive out in a forward direction rather than reverse out.

Enjoyed or stay on Corn Patch site, level and mowed.
Close to Canugra for supplys but far away enough to be quiet.
Robert met us just after we setup and went through the dos and dont's plus local attractions, swimming hole etc.
Each site has a toilet ,clean and functional, nice touch.
Sites are close to each other but far enough apart to feel separated.
We would go back to Corn Patch if we were staying in area again.

stoney camp site was everything i hoped it would be. Private, close to the creek and easily accessible. Toilets were really clean and well maintained. Absolutely 10/10 for off the grid camping.

I loved this hipcamp! The site was spacious and well maintained with a clean toilet, and a short walk to the platypus viewing area where we fed some turtles. The views of the stars at night were amazing and the hosts were very welcoming. We had a great time soaking in the views and swimming in the creek, will definitely be back!
