Paddock Camping
ok but be could alot better
The views were lovely and peaceful, and the kids loved the river to play in. Luckily there was enough water running to ride the rapids. The Paddock camping area was exactly that- a paddock. A few dried up cows poos amongst the partly cut grass. Apparently it had been partly slashed but the long grass that had been cut was lying on top of the ground so it still felt like long unkept grass, which you have to stamp down to see what was underneath. There was heaps of ant nests also, so the kids and pets were getting bitten a lot. Some of the other campsites looked better but there wasn't a lot of choices as the ground was very slopey and uneven. The toilets were very bad. We arrived on Easter Saturday and they were completely full!! The host tried to make it better with lots of supplied toilet paper and sort of keeping it clean but ....really... anyone would expect that the toilets would fresh, emptied and prepared for a lot of campers over the Easter long weekend. The host also offered free wood for the campfire but due to all the rain it was water logged. James seemed friendly and helpful but I think a little more preparation for that amount campers at such a busy time would have been better. No cold shower was to been seen but was advertised . Rate it 4-10.

Turtle Log Riverbank Camp
Nothing like the photos !
Terrible - we made the mistake of going at Easter . Our booked site was not accessible and we placed in an uneven unkept area with knee high grass. Nothing like the photos. 2 overflowing toilets for a couple of hundred people. Gross and not as pictured. We left after 1 night.

Big Fig Lower Camp
Camping with a view
It is a beautiful spot on a lovely creek with amazing views. It’s close enough to town to get any supplies but far enough away that you feel like you are on holidays. The whole family really enjoyed our stay. James is a great host.
