Oz Sky Ranch is set on 350+ acres in the beautiful Gold Coast Hinterland, just outside of Brisbane at the bottom of Mount Tambourine near Canungra. We cater to adventurous souls, with a range of adventure tourism activities in and around our property. Try tandem hang-gliding and paragliding and a full range of hang gliding and paragliding courses or just bring your own stand-up paddleboards and kayaks. Our lake is lovely and clean and is great to swim in. We opened up our working cattle and turf farm to promote Hang gliding and paragliding, we believe the more people see it, then the more people may like to come for a tandem flight or learn to fly with us. You can buy a friend or loved one a gift of a life time. Tandem hang gliding gift vouchers are very popular, as you get to take off from the property and flyover you’re campsite and then up to 2500ft. Then come and land right next to your friends and family at the Oz Sky Ranch. We pride ourselves on keeping the property lovely and clean. We are also opening our home and farm to you. So please respect it and enjoy it as we do. We have 5 designated campsites positioned around the property. Within the designated sites, there are camp spots that we rotate. Please check with us to see what ones are open. We need to rotate the sites and rest them. This is how we keep them well-maintained and looking amazing. If it is wet weather we will close down sites and recommend other spots. We rotate the sites and rest them. Then they don’t get overused. We want our camp sites to look lovely for you. We pride our self’s on having a lovely property. If it is bad weather, we will recommend another site or we can give you a full refund. Campfires are allowed at designated camp spots when fire bans aren't in place. Firewood is available to purchase - see extras. We accept groups however we have strict rules around this, so please discuss with us first. If you are up early in the morning you may be lucky enough to see the best in QLD barefoot water skiers training on the lake and also tandem hang gliders getting towed up from the airstrip. All campers must check in before dark. We look forward to your enquiry.

I booked site 10, but as it was a weekend not many people were camping, the lovely Lisa moved us to site 2 which was magical with a beautiful view of Mt Tamborine. Right beside the lake, the mist in the morning on the lake was breath taking. Abundant wildlife/farm life to be seen and campfires that mesmerised you. Great weekend getaway!

Couldn’t have asked for a better site. Plenty of space, great location on the property and great communication from Lisa with plenty of info. Was the perfect way for my boy to spend his first boys only camping trip.

Lisa is a wonderful host & has a beautiful property. We enjoyed our time here. We stayed at site 9, this was probably one of the more private sites, a slight slope but we didn't require levelling blocks or anything. Was nice to sit and watch the water and sky sports going on throughout the day, though they do start early!

Enjoyed our stay here although before 6am boat noises is a little disturbing if you want peace and quiet :) but great location if it’s quiet - owners are super helpful and facilities are great .

Great place to stay close to Brisbane. Sites are slopey so it takes a fair bit of leveling the caravan. Friendly cows!

Site 2, the best spot
We had such an amazing stay at Site 2. It is such a large flat and private site, with incredible view overlooking the lake and the mountains. This is our third stay at Oz Sky Ranch and we have loved every trip and can't wait to stay again. Lisa is such an amazing host, always so friendly, welcome and looking to improve the Ranch for her guests. The new toilet and shower facilities look amazing and very well maintained. We can't wait to see what else has changed when we next stay.

Beautiful location, loving the look of the new barn with facilities. Great for kids to have a swim in the lake, watch the hot air balloons float across the sky in the morning, as well has the hang gliders.

5 - Lake Site Frontage
Beautiful spot but noisy
Overall we enjoyed our stay, and appreciated such a close location. Positives were excellent shower and toilet facilities, a clean lake and a beautiful location. Downsides included a much busier and noisier location than expected and a noisy start to the day at 6.30am on Sunday morning when a large group launched their boat on the ramp next to our site, waterskiing up and down on a loud boat chatting loudly right next to our camp site with no care for the still sleeping campers. The public holiday Monday morning start was thankfully much quieter (water skiers only started at 7am and much more respectful of chatter). Private function on Saturday night meant the showers weren’t available and they seemed to be excluded from the strict noise rules. The site (lakeside #6) had a lot of through traffic both walkers and cars I believe they were preparing for a large waterski event. However on Sunday afternoon it quietened and then we could enjoy a peaceful kayak and some relaxation and could see why so many others have enjoyed this place. My advice is to check whether any events are on (particularly waterskiing) as we had no idea and weren’t advised - this may impact your stay. Also, our site was ‘gently sloping’, but it was more of an incline then we were expecting. We’ll try elsewhere next time particular at a cost of $400 for 2 nights for a 2 family group.

Had a lovely weekend away at Lisa’s property with our friends and all our children. Spent the weekend kayaking swimming stand up paddle boarding sitting by the fire and watching the stand up skiers and hang gliders. Very well set up camping spot and Lisa was very accommodating. Will be back! Dave

I was a bit reluctant when booking this camping ground as I had never been camping before. But Lisa proved to be an exceptional host. She recommended a spot for me and family and it was perfect. This is truly a piece of paradise and we will definitely be coming.

9.5/10!
We had a great time at Oz Sky Ranch! It was nice and quiet most of the time and Lisa is just so lovely!! The views were incredible and campsites are nicely spread out. The barn showers & toilets were actually so beautiful! So handy for our toddler who loves to get in the dirt as much as possible. Downsides: the campsite is on a pretty decent downward slope so be prepared to prop your bed up on something. Not a deal breaker but my husband has a bad back so it was not ideal for us! There were boats & skiers on the water at 6am on Sunday - bit too early for us! But hey, it was amazing to watch what they can do so not actually complaining! Over all, we would definitely return! We would just book on of the hill/bush sites that are more flat. Thanks for a great stay Lisa! We will be back.

The Bush Campsite 23 was very clean, flat to suit our side fold camper and far enough away from other sites to enjoy. The kids loved visiting the chickens, swimming in the dam and riding bikes in the open paddocks. Lisa was extremely helpful and really made us feel welcome!
