While you'll feel a world away from the hustle and bustle, you're only 10 minutes from Kuranda's Heritage Markets, Skyrail, the Scenic Railway, Barron Falls, the national parks, the Tablelands, and so much more—the list could go on! Davies creek, walking tracks and swimming holes all within minutes. Cairns a 40 min drive and kuranda just 10 mins away. Speewah has a local pup serving meals and a service station.
Whether you're stopping by for a night or settling in for a few days, we hope you'll enjoy the fresh air, open space, and relaxed pace that make Speewah such a special place to call home. Unfortunately Hipcamp Insurance no longer covers horse riding, so no riding on the grounds unless you are a member of another pony club, Equestrian Australia or have your own private insurance. Heaps of rides just out the gate though through forestry tracks. (turn left out of the grounds, then left again onto Priddy Rd, cross Tin Can Bay Rd and ride for miles into the forestry) Ask any questions , we are fellow horse people afterall :)

Keep in mind from December to March we have hot, rainy summers. For the adventurous campers who use swags/tents, we suggest a stretcher and a gazebo with walls for a little comfort. Some areas need 4wd also.
Check in is after 1pm and check out is strictly before 10.30am, we promise you will get your 'Heilen Coo' fix 😝

Be mindful around all animals as they get to know you, be smart please. Kids can bring bikes, must be supervised at all times, no screaming or running.
Pets are welcome, we have 2 dogs Jesse and Cane, who are both very friendly. Our Maremma is an Italian breed of livestock gaurdian dog, he does bark a little at night to protect our pets, which goes hand in hand with all of our other farm noises 😉
Our Neighbours have fish farms, you may hear the odd gun go off, just to scare the shags away from feeding in the ponds. It's totally safe.
Feel free to put on some music and have a few drinks by the campfire, but we want our farm to be a place where our animals and our guests feel safe and relaxed, so we do not accommodate noisy parties.
Relax and unwind with a book or go for a bush walk and listen to the kookaburras. Watch Sea Eagles, pelican, wild budgies, rainbow lorikeet and more. All your cares will feel like they are a million miles away as you soak up nature, we guarantee you will have an amazing experience.
6 Kms in at our historic Childers there is a Woolworths, IGA, great pubs for lunch, cafes and bakeries, plus a swimming pool, museum, snakes down under and Woodgate beach 25 mins away.

Gidgee’s Bush Camp is just on the edge of Morven SW Queensland, 100 km East of Charleville. We are just over 1 km from the Morven post office. Check in 12 noon
We operate a small sheep, cattle and goat property along with a camping, coffee and pvc bag manufacturing business. Mick also manages the Morven Rail hub which is a cattle spelling, weighing and trucking terminal.
The landscaped campground is set in 60 acres, of open downs country. We are focused on attracting bird life an have identified 90 species.
You can stay hooked up on the majority of the sites and they are pull through or reverse parking depending on here you choose to camp.
The hub of the campground is WILMAVALE hut, which is complete with a byo bar, entertainment lawn, fire pits and events pavilion. You can watch footy on a Friday night or sit around the wood stove and enjoy the atmosphere of the hut which has been replicated from a house build and lived in by Kylee’s grandparents that was originally built in 1860. There are toilets and showers. Showers require $1 coins for hot water. We also have a coin operated washing machine.
We have hot tubs that can be booked and on arrival at an additional cost.

We have room for 50 unpowered sites.
There are fire pits scattered around the camp for campers to use. We do not supply fire wood, but you can collect it. We lite on of the fires at WILMAVALE hut. Camp kitchen has power, Bar-b-que, Wood stove, hot plate and microwave, including a beautiful, manicured lawn area, and drinking water.
You will also be pleasantly surprised by the quirky landscaping and art work that surrounds the campgrounds. Being a working farm your well behaved cats and dogs are welcome but must be restrained at all times.
We have bitumen road to our front door and It is accessible to motorbikes, RVs, camper trailers, caravans, cars, trucks and buses. Interact with the farm animals and the camp owners. The bush camp is owned and operated business 4th generation Morven farmers. Enjoy beautiful wide open spaces, with tranquil sunsets followed by huge outback night star lit sky.

Sheree and her brother were both very welcoming and friendly. Our camp site was stunning and very private. We had the little dam all to ourselves for our whole stay. We loved lighting up the fire each evening and watching the turtles.

We loved camping at Splitters Farm. Excellent facilities, well-kept campground, just outside of Bundaberg. Absolutely perfect for families or anyone that just loves animals. 3 days wasn’t enough for us, we wish we could’ve stayed longer. Thank you guys.

We found "100 Acres" easily thanks to very clear directions. The campsite was clean, beautiful, and perfectly flat with freshly mowed grass right beside the creek. We loved cooking over the provided firepit and watching the abundant birdlife. It was great that the site was fenced off from the grazing cattle, giving us peace of mind while we explored. We thoroughly enjoyed walking around the property, visiting "The Orchard", and trekking up the main track for the beautiful hill views. Thank you, John and Tenille, for a wonderfully refreshing stay!

Absolutely well maintained beautiful property. Unfortunately we had a bit of rain but didn’t dampen our spirits. Toilet and shower available which was nice. Close to visit Tully township and Alligators Nest and Tully Gorge. The other sites were all lovely as well. Friendly host, easy to chat to and great communication. Would highly recommend this place.

We loved our stay at hidden camp! The boys loved the animals, all so friendly and happy for a pat (and some snacks!) The sunsets in the hammock were my favourite. Leah and Callan were so friendly and helpful always checking in and coming to my rescue buggying my heavy water jugs back down to our campsite and another block of chocolate for our smores kit when we ate it all on the first night 😂 We can't wait to come back ❤️

Great to have the amenities right nearby, a lovely clean shower and toilet out of the weather. Was grey and wet when we visited but the view was still great!

Sheree was welcoming. We camped during "typical" Tully weather, but our site drained well and a gravel base made for less mud and easy grip. The rain didn't dampen our stay. The amenities were clean. Beautiful setting. The kids were entertained by the turtles in the creek and are already asking when we can return. We will be back.

We had an incredible experience at Hidden Camp. The location is beautiful, with plenty of space to explore, play and to find your own little space not on top of other campers. I know the amenities are in the process of being renovated but everything available to us was clean, accessible and well maintained. There was so much to keep the kids entertained, the roaming animals were so friendly and gentle which was such a great experience for the kids, even my youngest who is typically anxious around animals loved it. Callan and his team were fantastic hosts, arrival was easy, and they do a really wonderful job of running the place. I would 10/10 recommend this spot.

Absolutely worth a visit！
You can tell the owners put real care into details you wouldn't even notice at first glance, which is often the hardest thing to pull off. They've kept the natural, original ecosystem intact while still providing all the comforts and conveniences you need. It's clear a huge amount of effort and hard work went into every corner of this place～well done！
The vibe here is relaxed, private, safe, and welcoming. Callan was warm and friendly, and could even call every animal by name — a small detail that says a lot about the level of care and love that goes into this place.

Wow! Wow! Wow! We have stayed at a lot of places on Hipcamp and found your site to be the best of the best.
The Presentation of the Orchard is super. Great view, well maintained, excellent grass cover and so well fenced even our 4.5kg toy cavoodle had no hope of escaping. So relaxing.John and Tenille you are to be congratulated. We will definetely be back.

Thank you Callan & Leah for a wonderful stay at your farm. A truly unforgettable experience! We loved the open spaces, how easy it was to find a quiet site amongst the gums, the interaction with the animals, go karting down the hills and the friendly warm welcome we received. It let our kids embrace the serenity and wonder of nature all around you. Can’t wait to return one day!
Note: This is a true farm/country experience so if you’re unlucky enough to have rain during your stay, just embrace the mud, pack some gumboots and enjoy marshmallows around your campfire!
