Owners Shayne and Kim are lovely they have a beautiful property and it is great to camp near the creek. It was extra special the weekend we went out we had the whole camping ground to myself and partner and another couple.

Weekend Trip to OZ SKY RANCH

Our first experience at Oz Sky Ranch was really positive. Lisa is so genuine and friendly even with so many campers over a long weekend. The facilities were clean and the availability of port-a-loos was great. We had a double site suitable for two camper trailers and it was a perfect size. The grass was mowed, flat and green and while there were other campers around us, the use of bush and trees to separate camp sites was great. At first we thought the use of their wood was a bit much however being hardwood it lasted a lot longer than the usual bags you get from the side of the road and the one wheel barrow load lasted us two nights with some leftover. The surrounds were so beautiful, it is a lovely place around the lake and great that it is only a 10min drive to Mt Tamborine and 15min drive to Canungra. A great location for a weekend away. Thanks Lisa, we will definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to Bindarah Downs

We had such a wonderful time at Bindarah Downs and wanted to share our experience! We stayed on the bottom level, right next to the creek on the far left, and honestly—the sound of the creek was pure magic. Even though there were quite a few people around, it was incredibly peaceful. We didn’t hear any noise that disturbed our time there, which made it feel like our own little tranquil hideaway. A quick tip: make sure you’re fully self-contained, whether in a van or camping. Bring plenty of water and firewood if you want to have a fire—it’s definitely one of those places where you’ll want to be well-prepared so you can just relax and enjoy. Shane was a fantastic host—so helpful and welcoming—and we also got to see Kim on our last day. Both were lovely! We can’t recommend Bindarah Downs enough. It’s a peaceful, beautiful spot that’s perfect for disconnecting and making memories.

Beautiful camp site, lots of space, hot showers and working toilet. We could not fault anything at all!Tthe views of the lake are amazing, plenty spots to fish, launch boats etc, it’s essentially a campers dream! Zero service on mobile phones so take that in to note if you struggle being cut off. We will be back for sure, thanks so much :)

Michael was very welcoming and showed us to our spot which was beautiful unfortunately it started pouring with rain and since we don’t live far decided our warm bed was a better option, we thanked Michael and on our way home received a lovely message from him telling us that we can come back and camp another time with a credit on the site for us which we didn’t expect as it was our decision not to stay so that was very unexpected and appreciated.

Overall great spot. Has no reception at first I was like mmm but then it was actually refreshing as we struggle to be present today as life is busy. Says there was no showerd but there was so another up and overall lot is huge so heaps fo privacy. Would recommend.

Buranga Farm is a small organic family-run farm on 60 acres in the Noosa hinterland only ten minutes from Peregian Beach. The property is largely flat with a hill on the Eastern side and a ridgeline at the very back of the property. There are plenty of cleared open areas as well as a mix of lightly treed and native vegetation. Site one and two are located on the hillside looking west to Mount Cooroy and are best suited for couples. Sites three and four share a large open grassed area the flows down to the main lake that offers great swimming. Site five overlooks the lake and opens into a private bush area. All areas of the property are open to campers to walk through and explore. The farm comprises a series of ponds near the road that are in the process of being renovated for Red Claw Crayfish. There are fruit trees and veggie gardens and chooks around the house paddock. The balance of the land is either grazed by our small herd of cattle and our 2 donkeys or set aside for regeneration. Also please note we have 24 sites only, however some of these sites can easily fit 40 people therefore on Hipcamp it can show lots of availability when in fact that may not be the case. We are more expensive per person than other camp sites. Please note this includes hipcamp fees and charges and you are covered by hipcamp insurance. We don’t charge for pets, nor do we charge to use our 6 onsite canoes, nor do we charge extra for hot showers or rubbish removal, we haveguest wifi. Our 1km private driveway is rough but if driven to conditions a 2wd has no issues.. Most of the time space is abundant however if choosing to come on a long weekend, Easter or New Years expect it to be a lot busier than your average weekend with larger groups camping together, however still plenty of space between groups. You won’t ever have to trip over your neighbours tent ropes here. Eco friendly lakefront and near to lake front sites. Please don’t arrive expecting lakefront, our sites are all near to and Depending on group size not everyone will have lake frontage. We can never guarantee requests. We assign sites based on numbers and camping equipment. Furtherest camp spot is approximately 500m from amenities block, however porta loos are located in the remote site but it’s a walk or drive back to the showers. Flushing toilets and 2 hot showers available in main area. Please note: toilet cartridges are not to be emptied into our toilets. Take it home or dispose at dump point at Woodford Showgrounds We provide unpowered Bush camping, and we try to keep the camp sites as natural as possible, no flat pads. There is lots of space for the kids to run or take the dog for a walk on the lead. If you are organising a celebration (eg wedding/birthday) please send an enquiry first so we can discuss your needs. Please note if you’re wanting a function the price is $5500 which gives you sole use of the property up to 70 campers for 2 nights. (We live onsite) please also note we abide by noise restrictions and we do not allow amplified music and noise needs to be kept to a minimum after 10pm. We will allow up to 120 people onsite cost $7500. These prices include early entry Friday from 10am and late departure Sunday by 4pm. Extra accommodation available at extra cost. We have firepits at all campsites and adhere to any fire restrictions. We do not supply BBQ’s please bring your own. Please come to our reception building on the way in, as we need to check everybody in, visitors to your camp site need to sign in and pay a day fee. We are then able to answer any questions you may have and further cement our rules. Day visitors to your campsite will incur a $10 per person fee and is time restrictive. STRICTLY NO DRONES ALLOWED ALSO WE DO NOT ALLOW DRIVING AROUND CAMPSITES OR PROPERTY (Safety concerns) Once your camp is set up you can park your vehicle at your site. You are welcome to drive out of the campsite to town and back but strictly no joyriding around our property. The Cooke Family welcomes you to “Hopevale”. A beautiful 113 acre property bordered by Wrattens National Park at the edge of the world in the peaceful Widgee district of greater Gympie. Jason, a landscaper by trade, and Jacinta a teacher by profession, met many years ago at a national Christian youth conference. Four beautiful children later and many years down the track, they bought Hopevale as a blank cattle fattening property in 2018. After much hard work, they have made it what it is today, with plans to continually improve. We have different camp options available, one of which is set up for those guests also wanting to stay with horses or just have a larger group booking. Guests will have access to a toilet and shower throughout their stay which is within walking distance from each of the campsites. Campfires and pets are welcome. The property has only had 4 farming owners in its 110 odd years since it was first surveyed and selected in 1915. The Hillcoats, Bishops, Cotters, and now the Cooke’s. The families over the years have used the property for timber getting, dairy, beef and small cropping. The property is geologically rich with volcanic soils, sandstone escarpments full of caves and overhangs. The mighty Wrattens Falls sits to the back of the property in the National Park and is a sight to behold in full flow. It feeds the head waters of the western branch of Widgee Creek which meanders through the property. The subtropical dry rainforest clad mountains are dominated by the majestic Bunya and Hoop pines and are a testament to what once was covering the entire property before being cleared for farming. Remnant riparian creek lines are botanically rich and diverse holding Red and White Cedar, Teak, Silky oak and many other coveted timber trees harvested back in the day. There are many species of animals and birds that call Hopevale home. From water dragons, frogs and fish in the creeks, monitors, wallabies, deer, koalas, possums and phascogales in the eucalypts. Red-back wrens, pardalotes, rainbow bee-eaters, finches and quail call the open grasses home while whip birds give their iconic call in the forest. Above, birds of prey ride the thermals of the valley looking for their next meal. “We have been blessed beyond measure with a small slice of God’s wonderful creation that we would love to share with you.”

Axe throwing has recently become popular within the city, if you must try it on the property , bring a board, our trees are not to be used as targets. Stay out of our gated paddocks. This is for Biosecurity and your safety. We are trying to create peace and tranquility that people crave so much when they get out of their busy lives. We are not the place for rowdy parties or large groups ( unless you would like to book out the entire property) Most of our sites are nestled on different levels between trees and bush so you will feel like you are the only ones there. You are welcome to have a campfire in the provided fire pit or drum when there is no fire ban in place, however due to the unique surroundings we offer, we do require you to be extra vigilant with fire safety. You are most welcome to use your own off the ground firepit anywhere in your site. Please read site descriptions carefully as we have sites that are substantially different in access, privacy , level ground and distance to a toilet. We affectionately call our property "The Rustic Resort". This is a tribute to the rusty water tanks and dilapidated animal shelters that were left behind when we moved in. Our farm was once part of a thriving rural property in the 1920's. It used to be a dairy farm and then a banana farm. We now raise goats and cattle. Our property is dog friendly to responsible dog owners, we are happy for your pups to be off lead as long as you are the one in control. We have a large farm dam that never runs dry, (NO fishing please as we use this for livestock and swimming, and the last thing we need is hooks in peoples or animals feet. ) It is wonderful for a refreshing swim, there is a ladder to make it easier to get into the dam and during the summer months there are floating noodles for your use. Feel free to bring your paddle boards and canoes. We are centrally located to explore the Glass house mountains ( 20mins), Stoney creek (15min), Rocky holes (35min), Bribie island (40 min), Woodford (10min), Mt Mee (10min), Montville, Maleny (40min) and much, much more. We are 10 minutes from Woodford and the wonderful Woodford Folk Festival. "White Ridge Farm" in Elimbah is only 20 minutes from us, and the kids will love the interactive farm experience and cuddling the baby animals. Wamuran town centre has has an IGA, a wonderful butcher, bakery, bottle shop, 24 hour servo, a rural supply shop, fish and chip shop, a new pizza place and a Thai/Indian take away that is sensational. Wamuran holds a local country market every 4th Saturday per month from 7am to midday. There is a Woodfire pizza van in town 2 out of 4 weekends, look up Deadwood Pizza Wamuran to check the dates. We love them. If you would like to stay longer but feel like you need a shower occasionally, there is a public pool in Woodford and a public pool on King Street towards Caboolture , both are about a 10/15 minute drive from us. Wamuran is less than an hour north from the city, yet you will feel like you are far away. Deadman's Lagoon

Our property is roughly 80 acres of secluded land situated on the outskirts of Rockhampton. Only a 5 minute drive to the Gracemere shopping centre, and less than 10 minutes to Rockhampton. Deadman's Lagoon is a large freshwater lagoon situated in the centre of our hay farm. It is perfect for swimming, fishing, boating and kayaking. It is a permanent lagoon, however water levels are affected by the amount of local rainfall and are naturally lower in the winter months. Camp along the bank of the lagoon dotted with gum trees, or choose a wide open space in the paddock. Bird life including pelicans, black swans, bustards, ducks and egrets are frequently spotted enjoying the water. You will have plenty of privacy as there is no residence on the farm, and the neighbours are some distance away. You may notice us coming throughout the day for general farm duties. We ask that guests stay out of our paddocks and only drive on the road to and from the campground. We'll often drop in to camp to say hello or stock up firewood if we are able. Campers must be fully self-contained as no facilities or drinking water are available on the property. You are responsible for taking any and all rubbish with you when you leave. Dumping of toilets and human waste on the property is strictly prohibited. The closest free dump point is located at the Information Centre on Gladstone Rd in Rockhampton. We can accommodate for up to 6 caravans/campers at a time spread out over our campground area which is roughly 5 acres. You are welcome to set up wherever you like within our campground, whether it be along the bank of the lagoon or in the paddock. Please be respectful of others' space when deciding where to set up your camp. Unfortunately due to people leaving rubbish in multiple old fire sites making it unsafe to slash and causes damage to our expensive equipment, we have had to go to a communal fire pit. Dogs welcome, we just ask that you clean up after them so that the campsite remains clean for other campers to enjoy. There is a dog pen you are welcome to use. The roads on the property can become boggy in wet weather, and in the case of excessive rainfall we may need to cancel your booking (refund provided in this case).
