Australia might be a sun-drenched country, but in Queensland, your waterfront views don't have to come courtesy of the ocean. Here, there are also plenty of freshwater destinations to explore, from the perched lakes of K'gari (Fraser Island) and North Stradbroke Island and the volcanic basins of the Atherton Tablelands, to the dammed lakes hidden throughout the Scenic Rim. There's something to suit everyone: You can pull your rig into a family-friendly lakeside caravan park with all the amenities, or keep it slow and simple by setting up your tent or parking up your van beside a dam on private land. Not all waterways are swimming or fishing-friendly, but those that are often offer amenities to help you dive right in, including stand-up paddleboard and kayak hire.

Buranga Farm is a small organic family-run farm on 60 acres in the Noosa hinterland only ten minutes from Peregian Beach. The property is largely flat with a hill on the Eastern side and a ridgeline at the very back of the property. There are plenty of cleared open areas as well as a mix of lightly treed and native vegetation. Site one and two are located on the hillside looking west to Mount Cooroy and are best suited for couples. Sites three and four share a large open grassed area the flows down to the main lake that offers great swimming. Site five overlooks the lake and opens into a private bush area. All areas of the property are open to campers to walk through and explore. The farm comprises a series of ponds near the road that are in the process of being renovated for Red Claw Crayfish. There are fruit trees and veggie gardens and chooks around the house paddock. The balance of the land is either grazed by our small herd of cattle and our 2 donkeys or set aside for regeneration. Dog friendly. Simple composting/drop toilet available.

Moogerah Lakeside Bush Retreat is a small family owned and operated campground on the shores of Beautiful lake Moogerah in the heart of the Scenic Rim, SEQLD. We are conveniently located only 2km from the Cunningham Hwy and are set in a quiet bush location surrounded by the spectacular scenery of the Scenic Rim. We have a range of accommodation including powered and unpowered camp sites, group camp areas, bunk style cabins and a fully self-contained cabin. There is never a shortage of things to do, you can take a canoe or boat out for a cruise on the lake or try your luck at some fishing. Moogerah is well known for its large Bass & Yellow belly. There is a good bushwalk at the property that takes you out to Striker point and into the gorge waterfall with spectacular views along the way. If you have a 4wd you can take a short drive up to Spicers Gap National Park. Here there is a short walk out to the Governors Chair lookout with spectacular views of the Fassifern Valley and beyond. We currently don't have a boat ramp however once you have launched your boat at the public boat ramp we have a nice bay in front of the campground where you can anchor your boat.

You can buy a friend or loved one a gift of a life time. Tandem hang gliding gift vouchers are very popular, as you get to take off from the property and flyover you’re campsite and then up to 2500ft. Then come and land right next to your friends and family at the Oz Sky Ranch. We pride ourselves on keeping the property lovely and clean. We are also opening our home and farm to you. So please respect it and enjoy it as we do. We have 5 designated campsites positioned around the property. Within the designated sites, there are camp spots that we rotate. Please check with us to see what ones are open. We need to rotate the sites and rest them. This is how we keep them well-maintained and looking amazing. If it is wet weather we will close down sites and recommend other spots. We pride our self’s on having a lovely property and want you to have an amazing camping experience. If it is bad weather, we will recommend another site or you can change dates. Campfires are allowed at designated camp spots when fire bans aren't in place. Firewood is available to purchase . We have a no dog policy No smoking is allowed on the property, vaping is fine at your own campsite. No glass Policy, bring cans plastic glasses to drink out off. We do have a lot of rule, they are in place to give you a Beautiful environment to Camp in and To look after our Animals and farm. We accept groups however we have strict rules around this, so please discuss with us first. If you are up early in the morning you may be lucky enough to see the best in QLD barefoot water skiers training on the lake and also tandem hang gliders getting towed up from the airstrip. Axe throwing has recently become popular within the city, if you must try it on the property , bring a board, our trees are not to be used as targets. Stay out of our gated paddocks. This is for Biosecurity and your safety. We are trying to create peace and tranquility that people crave so much when they get out of their busy lives. We are not the place for rowdy parties or large groups. Most of our sites are nestled on different levels between trees and bush, so you may feel like you are the only ones there. Option 2: From the Centenary Freeway roundabout, at ripley head 21 km along Ripley Road, which continues and changes name to Undullah Road. Buranga Farm is a small organic family-run farm on 60 acres in the Noosa hinterland only ten minutes from Peregian Beach. The property is largely flat with a hill on the Eastern side and a ridgeline at the very back of the property. There are plenty of cleared open areas as well as a mix of lightly treed and native vegetation. Site one and two are located on the hillside looking west to Mount Cooroy and are best suited for couples. Sites three and four share a large open grassed area the flows down to the main lake that offers great swimming. Site five overlooks the lake and opens into a private bush area. All areas of the property are open to campers to walk through and explore. The farm comprises a series of ponds near the road that are in the process of being renovated for Red Claw Crayfish. There are fruit trees and veggie gardens and chooks around the house paddock. The balance of the land is either grazed by our small herd of cattle and our 2 donkeys or set aside for regeneration. CALLEMONDAH FARM CAMPING Callemondah is a 1500 acre Farm owned by Norm and Rhonda Betts located south of Warwick in Queensland. Callemondah is Aboriginal for "Many Hills" and the Farm is an Aussie Whites Sheep Stud Farm. Callemondah Camping is a new designated camping area that overlooks a picturesque waterhole and park like setting. There are fire pits to cook your food with and to have a campfire, just ask for a load of firewood or book it through Hipcamp here. We can hold and cater for functions such as Birthdays, Anniversaries, Weddings and Corporate Outdoor and Team building Functions. We do allow dogs that must remain on a leash at all times. You can also bring your horse/s on planned events and ride through the paddocks and hills of Callemondah Farm. The farm is a scenic mixture of wide open grazing fields and areas of native bushland which features native bird life and wildlife such as cockatoos, black cockatoos, galahs, crows, mapgies, kangaroos, wallabies, goannas and more. The Rosenthal creek meanders through Callemondah Farm which is very beautiful and makes for a lovely walk or to sit beside and create a painting. We loved our time at Bindarah Downs. We were welcomed by Shayne and had a nice chat. The property was freshly mowed and well prepared for us. The surrounding creek was lovely to cool off in. We met some of the horses and they were given a Weet Bix treat and a scratch. It reached 36 degrees but sitting under the huge trees kept us comfortably cool. Fire wood for sale on site is a bonus too. Will definitely be back!

I loved the serenity , some flat spots and not so flat spots . My campsite was flat enough for my camper . I think we were the only ones there and stayed one night . They are under construction so once they progress it’s going to be awesome , nice spot , lots of animals for the kids . I was lucky to have a powered site . The portaloo was clean , no showers at this point but they are going to have down the track .people very friendly and accommodating. Will return in the future . Can’t wait to see the finished product !

What a great spot to park my campervan for a few nights! We were positioned looking out to the water, super close for swimming access. We were able to purchase fire wood and have a little fire. It was super quiet and plenty of room for everyone as there are various campsites but all set away from each other. I loved it and will definitely be back again!

We selected a site at the top end of the lake... it was so incredibly peaceful as we had the entire area to ourselves. The amenities in the main camping area were beautifully clean. The lake was amazing to swim and cool down in at the main camping area, unfortunately a little too weedy for swimming up the end where we were.... but it was a lovely walk down to take a dip.

The Cooke Family welcomes you to “Hopevale”. A beautiful 113 acre property bordered by Wrattens National Park at the edge of the world in the peaceful Widgee district of greater Gympie. Jason, a landscaper by trade, and Jacinta a teacher by profession, met many years ago at a national Christian youth conference. Four beautiful children later and many years down the track, they bought Hopevale as a blank cattle fattening property in 2018. After much hard work, they have made it what it is today, with plans to continually improve. We have different camp options available, one of which is set up for those guests also wanting to stay with horses or just have a larger group booking. Guests will have access to a toilet and shower throughout their stay which is within walking distance from each of the campsites. Campfires and pets are welcome. The property has only had 4 farming owners in its 110 odd years since it was first surveyed and selected in 1915. The Hillcoats, Bishops, Cotters, and now the Cooke’s. The families over the years have used the property for timber getting, dairy, beef and small cropping. The property is geologically rich with volcanic soils, sandstone escarpments full of caves and overhangs. The mighty Wrattens Falls sits to the back of the property in the National Park and is a sight to behold in full flow. It feeds the head waters of the western branch of Widgee Creek which meanders through the property. The subtropical dry rainforest clad mountains are dominated by the majestic Bunya and Hoop pines and are a testament to what once was covering the entire property before being cleared for farming. Remnant riparian creek lines are botanically rich and diverse holding Red and White Cedar, Teak, Silky oak and many other coveted timber trees harvested back in the day. There are many species of animals and birds that call Hopevale home. From water dragons, frogs and fish in the creeks, monitors, wallabies, deer, koalas, possums and phascogales in the eucalypts. Our campground is 43 acres nestled in light bush just off the highway 6 minutes from town with Woolworths and IGA 30min to Woodgate beach, 45min from Bundaberg or Hervey Bay with access to local shops, wineries, zoos and a whole lot more. We are big on supporting events and businesses in the Bundy region we have large camp sites, caravan / motorhome sites, nature walks by the semi rainforest creek, movie nights, kids discos, live bands, bike tracks, club group activities and several well stocked dams with Barra, silver perch and yellow belly for the keen anglers (catch and release), or try your luck at catching a feed of yabbies. And yes we are pet friendly. We have an abundance of wildlife and a bird watchers paradise. We are passionate in what we do and want to contribute to prevention of climate change. We have planted 800 native trees at the camp to date. We are off grid solar and recycle most of our waste at our on site recycling station. Generators are allowed, MUST be OFF by 8pm as a consideration to others. Our gates close at 4PM if you are unable to be in by 5PM you will have to unfortunately arrive the following day. Internet and phone coverage can very poor WELCOME TO THE BUSH.

Our sites are completely isolated from town, with views and not visible from the road. Sites are set among nearly 100 acres of a mix of open land and rainforest. Multiple natural springs exist on the property and a few small spring-fed waterholes are scattered down the cascading hills. Friendly ducks, geese, fish, horses and an abundance of native wildlife live here. This location is home to several endangered species due to being one of the last isolated pockets of rainforest in the area. Sites are part of The Bush Clinic where we specialise in designing and making natural creams, soaps, teas, dodorants and other products as well as running regular Meditation courses and topics such as Energy, Frequency, Grounding and Advanced Organic Growth techniques for those wanting to join in are formally available during your stay. We are new to HipCamp so have limited facilities at present, but they are in progress and we have loads of space per site, comfortable, and lots to offer for those wanting to reconnect with Nature. Our property is roughly 80 acres of secluded land situated on the outskirts of Rockhampton. Only a 5 minute drive to the Gracemere shopping centre, and less than 10 minutes to Rockhampton. Deadman's Lagoon is a large freshwater lagoon situated in the centre of our hay farm. It is perfect for swimming, fishing, boating and kayaking. It is a permanent lagoon, however water levels are affected by the amount of local rainfall and are naturally lower in the winter months. Camp along the bank of the lagoon dotted with gum trees, or choose a wide open space in the paddock. Bird life including pelicans, black swans, bustards, ducks and egrets are frequently spotted enjoying the water. You will have plenty of privacy as there is no residence on the farm, and the neighbours are some distance away. You may notice us coming throughout the day for general farm duties. We ask that guests stay out of our paddocks and only drive on the road to and from the campground. We'll often drop in to camp to say hello or stock up firewood if we are able. Campers must be fully self-contained as no facilities or drinking water are available on the property. You are responsible for taking any and all rubbish with you when you leave. Dumping of toilets and human waste on the property is strictly prohibited. The closest free dump point is located at the Information Centre on Gladstone Rd in Rockhampton. We can accommodate for up to 6 caravans/campers at a time spread out over our campground area which is roughly 5 acres. You are welcome to set up wherever you like within our campground, whether it be along the bank of the lagoon or in the paddock. Please be respectful of others' space when deciding where to set up your camp. Unfortunately due to people leaving rubbish in multiple old fire sites making it unsafe to slash and causes damage to our expensive equipment, we have had to go to a communal fire pit. Dogs welcome, we just ask that you clean up after them so that the campsite remains clean for other campers to enjoy. There is a dog pen you are welcome to use. The roads on the property can become boggy in wet weather, and in the case of excessive rainfall we may need to cancel your booking (refund provided in this case).
