Welcome to The Magic Pond, an idyllic private property escape nestled on Kabi Kabi Country, by a serene lake. Located 10 minutes off the highway, 45 minutes from Brisbane City and minutes away from the local beach and a small town, it's the perfect spot for a romantic getaway or a wholesome family retreat. Couples can savor the tranquil ambiance, bask in breathtaking sunsets, and create cherished memories under the stars. Families will appreciate the peaceful surroundings, with ample space to explore, unwind, and reconnect with nature. Enjoy the lake to its fullest with your kayaks and stand-up paddleboards, or feel free to borrow ours at no charge (located on the banks). When you're ready for a change of scenery, visit the charming local cafes in Beachmere, such as Silver Spoon, Black Cat Eatery, and Beachmere Takeaway. You’ll also find an IGA, bottle shop, and Tavern, as well as a dog-friendly beach, 3-4 minute drive from The Pond. With Bribie Island and Sandstone Point 25 minutes away, you'll have convenient access to events at the Sandstone Point Hotel. Important Information: The Magic Pond is a private property, not a commercial business. The land is suitable for self-sufficient campers only. THERE ARE NO AMENITIES, YOU NEED TO BRING OR HIRE YOUR OWN TOILET, WITHOUT ONE YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE. No dumping of waste is permitted on the property. The closest dump point is Caboolture Showgrounds (140 Beerburrum Road, Caboolture 4510), which is open 24/7 and approximately 15 km from The Magic Pond. Firewood is available for purchase. Safety Information: In an emergency, phone 000. Caboolture Hospital is located at 87 McKean Street, Caboolture, approximately 9.1 km from The Magic Pond. Site/Property Rules: 1. No Parties: Unless advised prior Please be respectful of our neighbours 2. Noise: Keep noise to a minimum past 10 PM 3. Driving: Please drive safely and slowly on the property (15 km/h), especially along the fence line, as this is a shared space with children, dogs, and geese 4. Leave No Trace: What you bring you take home 5. Camp Areas Only: Please keep wondering to the designated camp areas only, there is a private residence and an off-lead guard dog 6. Pets: Your furry family are welcome, however, keep them on a lead and PICK UP POO.

Great Spot!

Our second stay here and we loved it just as much as the first. Such a beautiful, peaceful spot with great hosts and a lovely setup. The pond wasn’t quite as swim-friendly this time due to the lily pads, but it didn’t take away from how much we enjoyed our stay. A wonderful place to unwind, we’ll definitely be back.

Lovely unstructured site with a great position neat the pond. Quiet despite quite a few vans. We only stayed for one night before a sand driving course but it was just lovely.

My partner and I really enjoyed staying here for two nights. The hosts gave great instructions, easy to find spot and close to the city, not too far from civilisation, and the place is beautiful. Lake is very pretty, free kayak use was appreciated, not much of a swimming type lake but you can if you don't mind the lily pads, I took a dip to cool off. Though it could get busy, I expect you'll usually have plenty of space and when we went there were only a few others around, but not close to us, so was very private. I appreciated being able to use our generator briefly for the aircon when it was hot. We recommend and we would stay again.

The Magic pond was a nice little place to camp for a couple of days. Well kept grounds and very clean. It would be great if some of the lillies could be cleared in the pond, so you could actually swim in it, but overall, great little spot.

We absolutely loved the location, peaceful and relaxing with a lot of bird life, cows and kangaroos! Kayaks and paddle boards were also available! It was just great!

We loved our stay at Mitch's place. So close to Bribie island, dog friendly and totally off grid. Well some reception. We used the kayak in the dam which was fun and was quiet. We will be back.

We loved camping at the Magic Pond. We used the kayaks provided to do a little trip on the pond with the water lillies, ducks and turtles! We had a little campfire and we woke up to cows in the nearby paddock (Area B) and lots of magpies! Highly recommend!

We loved this spot. Quiet, even over the New year. Huge sites, and easy flat access Close to Beachmere and shops and only 20-25 mins from Bribie island and Sandstone point. Sandstone point marina has a toilet dump site so it’s proved to be an easy stay.

Awesome place. Quiet and relaxing, not far from shops and beach. Hosts are very responsive and accommodating, and also respect your privacy. Sites are private and have enough room to think you're there on your own. Highly recommend.

Absolutely loved staying here. So beautiful and peaceful, I live in my caravan full time and I didn’t want to leave. Mitch and Holly are both so kind and accomodating. Will be back someday. If you’re looking for something relaxing, private, beautiful and peaceful for a great price, this is the place to go :)

Absolutely lovely spot right next to the dam. Light breeze most days. Space between campers. Maintained by wonderful hosts who weren't intrusive but did come down to check on us on occasion (we were here in the big supercell storm!) Couple of things to point out to future campers. Is there some machinery and stuff on the property like said in another review, yes. Does it effect your view and experience, NO. This is a working property, not a holiday resort. All equipment is with the owners main house and nowhere near the campsites. And also, bring mozzie spray. Like anywhere near water after dark the mozzies do come out as they always do. It also shares a fence with another hipcamp property next door so there are other ppl around but I don't think it effects your stay as everyone on both sides are respectful of their surroundings. All in all I think this was a gem to discover and we will definitely be booking again. Thanks Mitch n Hollie for their lovely hospitality n opening their home to us all.

Having some experience now with off-grid camping, the Magic Pond is value for the price you pay. The camping spot is nice, easy to access and big enough to give you some privacy. Not enough space to go for long walks with the dog, but Beachmere, Bribie or Brisbane are not a long drive away. Midges are a bit of a bother some times of the year, and nothing seems to keep them away! A smudging fire, or go to bed ...

Easy to find and lovely spot between 2 lakes, the purple lilies were so beautiful and taking the property kayaks out to paddle through them was just stunning. Couldn't locate the fire wood so sourced from another place. Mozzy's can be fierce so be prepared. I used Thermacell Mosquito Repellent Unit from BCF and it did an excellent job, covered 21m area for 12 hours, cost approx. $60 for a number of times with gas refills and repellent pads. I would stay again, beautiful spot.

Mitch communicated everything prior to arrival so we could head straight to the site. Ponds, view, birds, nicely mowed, and fire braziers all ready to go. Who could ask for more.
