Buranga Farm is a small organic family-run farm on 60 acres in the Noosa hinterland only ten minutes from Peregian Beach. The property is largely flat with a hill on the Eastern side and a ridgeline at the very back of the property. There are plenty of cleared open areas as well as a mix of lightly treed and native vegetation. Site one and two are located on the hillside looking west to Mount Cooroy and are best suited for couples. Sites three and four share a large open grassed area the flows down to the main lake that offers great swimming. Site five overlooks the lake and opens into a private bush area. All areas of the property are open to campers to walk through and explore. The farm comprises a series of ponds near the road that are in the process of being renovated for Red Claw Crayfish. There are fruit trees and veggie gardens and chooks around the house paddock. The balance of the land is either grazed by our small herd of cattle and our 2 donkeys or set aside for regeneration. Dog friendly. Simle composting/drop toilet available.

Somerset Dam is 40minutes away and you are able to use your own motorised equipment there. PLEASE if booking individually but you intend to join a larger group please message me on hipcamp after you have booked telling me the names of people you would like to camp with so I can allocate a space large enough to fit you all. Also please note we have 24 sites only, however some of these sites can easily fit 40 people therefore on Hipcamp it can show lots of availability when in fact that may not be the case. Our 1km private driveway is rough but if driven to conditions a 2wd has no issues.Most of the time space is abundant however if choosing to come on a long weekend, Easter or New Years expect it to be a lot busier than your average weekend with larger groups camping together, however still plenty of space between groups. You won’t ever have to trip over your neighbours tent ropes here. Eco friendly lakefront and near to lake front sites. Please don’t arrive expecting lakefront, our sites are all near to and Depending on group size not everyone will have lake frontage. We can never guarantee requests. We assign sites based on numbers and camping equipment. Furtherest camp spot is approximately 500m from amenities block, however porta loos are located in the remote site but it’s a walk or drive back to the showers. Flushing toilets and 2 hot showers available in main area. Please note: toilet cartridges are not to be emptied into our toilets. Take it home or dispose at dump point at Woodford ShowgroundsWe provide unpowered Bush camping, and we try to keep the camp sites as natural as possible, no flat pads. Please notify us if you are camping with other campers who have booked a separate site so we can have you camping beside each other During busy times, most weekend bookings are a minimum of 2 nights with 1 night bookings during the week, however occasionally we will have 1 night bookings on weekends. Check with your host to see availability on 1 night bookings. Kayaks are provided free of charge for all campers to use in Yabba Creek. Please treat them respectfully and return them back to their launching place just below the powerlines. If you wish to bring along your own kayak, you can launch them at the walkway between campsite 8 and 9 where our camp kayaks are stored, however, cars are restricted from driving down to the water edge so you will have to carry them to the water to launch them. Please note that you are responsible for your own kayak. All campsites run parallel too the creek and are situated on the upper bank of Yabba Creek. Some have creek views, the other sites have trees between the creek and their site. All have mountain views. The main access to the creek is half way along the campground between site 8 and 9. Please do not leave your car parked in the walkway as this will block the entrance to campsite 9. Unfortunately, we lost many of our creek access points due to flooding. Our property is situated between Imbil and Lake Borumba on the beautiful Yabba Creek. We have 110 acres, with campsites on 20 acres. We have 1km of creek frontage. The creek offers fishing, swimming and kayaking. If you're lucky you'll spot the platypus in the creek and there's lots of birdlife around so bring your cameras! Kayaks are supplied free for all campers to use. We just ask that you treat them with respect and return them back to their launching place once you have finished with them. It would pay to pack your reef walkers as the river is rocky in spots. There is lots of space for motorhomes and large camping vehicles to maneuver and park. Plenty of flat spots for your tent or vehicle. This campsite has access to flushing toilets (toilets are situated approx. 400m from the camp sites) and water (rainwater), but you will need to bring your own camping shower. Campfires are permitted outside of fire-ban season (please use the existing firepits). The property features a gorgeous rainforest with a walking track that you can follow safely, and you can also access the state forest next door if you're up for a bigger adventure. Lake Borumba is just down the road which permits water skiing, boating, fishing and other water recreation. The town ship of Imbil is only 7 minutes away where you can visit the many cafes, bakeries, The Imbil pub, Sunday markets, Produce and hardware store, supermarket, butcher, clothing shops, hairdresser, fishing supplies, Petrol station, post office and more. We are a working cattle and horse property but we do allow pets, however pet owners will need to abide by the rules as set out under the Rules and Safety "Pets" section. Please note that there is a rifle range within hearing distance from Maluka Park and campers may at times on weekends hear gunshots. This generally only goes for a few hours.

There is plenty to do and see in the area including exploring nearby Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve, Gardeners Falls, Kondalilla National Park, Australia Zoo, indulge in a tasting at the Barrel at Clouds Vineyard opposite the front gate, stroll through Maleny Botanic Gardens & Bird World or take a short drive to some of Australia’s most beautiful beaches. Access during daylight hours via 4WD ONLY with AT or MT off-road Tyres, RT Tyres are not permitted due to the steepness of the tracks. Off-road camper trailers are suitable for some campsites (max weight 1500kg and max length 5m restrictions apply). Caravans are not permitted due to the steep terrain. A Portaloo is located between the Ocean View 1 and 2 sites and a second Portaloo is located centrally and within walking distance to The Knoll, Upper Plateau, Valley View and Little Bunya campsites. There are no facilities at The Junction, and you MUST be self-contained. Riverdell is dog friendly, off leash if trained, and recommend tick treatment before arrival. For safety, no arrivals after dark unless arranged prior.

During the day you can enjoy a walk through the pine forest, and in the afternoon experience the incredible sunset vistas from our hill or from the luxurious outdoor bath. By night, sit by the firepit and gaze up at the stars while listening to the sounds of nature on the fig tree swinging chair. The outdoor bathtub is available for hire for the evening with prior notice, and will come with beautiful dried flowers, natural bath salts charged at $60 per use. We recommend our guests bring swimmers for the bath. During your stay you will have access to our outdoor shower and composting toilet with a view. These facilities are shared by 1 other person or if another camper stays, and we kindly request that our guests are mindful of water consumption as we are on tank water. Connection of power and water is an option for extra. Our campsites are also dog friendly as we love having your fur babies visit! However if you are bringing your furry companions with you, please ensure they are friendly with other dogs, kept on a lead and supervised at all times, as our baby chickens and miniature pigs like to explore during the day along with my dog who will constantly want to be around. The Cooke Family welcomes you to “Hopevale”. A beautiful 113 acre property bordered by Wrattens National Park at the edge of the world in the peaceful Widgee district of greater Gympie. Jason, a landscaper by trade, and Jacinta a teacher by profession, met many years ago at a national Christian youth conference. Four beautiful children later and many years down the track, they bought Hopevale as a blank cattle fattening property in 2018. After much hard work, they have made it what it is today, with plans to continually improve. We have different camp options available, one of which is set up for those guests also wanting to stay with horses or just have a larger group booking. Guests will have access to a toilet and shower throughout their stay which is within walking distance from each of the campsites. Campfires and pets are welcome. The property has only had 4 farming owners in its 110 odd years since it was first surveyed and selected in 1915. The Hillcoats, Bishops, Cotters, and now the Cooke’s. The families over the years have used the property for timber getting, dairy, beef and small cropping. The property is geologically rich with volcanic soils, sandstone escarpments full of caves and overhangs. The mighty Wrattens Falls sits to the back of the property in the National Park and is a sight to behold in full flow. It feeds the head waters of the western branch of Widgee Creek which meanders through the property. The subtropical dry rainforest clad mountains are dominated by the majestic Bunya and Hoop pines and are a testament to what once was covering the entire property before being cleared for farming. Remnant riparian creek lines are botanically rich and diverse holding Red and White Cedar, Teak, Silky oak and many other coveted timber trees harvested back in the day. There are many species of animals and birds that call Hopevale home. From water dragons, frogs and fish in the creeks, monitors, wallabies, deer, koalas, possums and phascogales in the eucalypts. Red-back wrens, pardalotes, rainbow bee-eaters, finches and quail call the open grasses home while whip birds give their iconic call in the forest. Due to new council regulations, we can no longer camp directly near the creek edges as we did before. Our campsites have now been relocated to higher ground, offering beautiful views of the creek. The creek entrances are accessible within 50 to 300 meters, depending on the path you choose. Unplug and unwind at our 22 acre camping paradise nestled amongst the rolling green hills of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Listen to the babbling water sounds of Scrubby Creek and the Mary River that meandering through the perimeter of the property for over 1 kilometer. Stroll through our mini rainforest, paddle in the creek or have a dip in one of the many rock pools. We will even let you build as many rock towers as you like! Throw an inner tube in the creek and float around while the kids laugh and play all day long. Let the kids dig holes or fossick for the perfect skimming rocks, ride bikes or play endless games on the beautiful landscaped grass. Plenty of trees to put up that hammock or soak in the creek with views overlooking the wilderness. Sit back and gaze at the starlit skies while the kids roast yet another marshmallow on the campfire. The outdoor bathtub is available for hire for the evening with prior notice, and will come with beautiful dried flowers, natural bath salts charged at $60 per use. We recommend our guests bring swimmers for the bath. During your stay you will have access to our outdoor shower and composting toilet with a view. These facilities are shared by 1 other person or if another camper stays, and we kindly request that our guests are mindful of water consumption as we are on tank water. Kayleah and Dean are fabulous hosts, very accommodating and friendly. We were lucky enough to be the inaugural guests of Jack's Shack. This was a fantastic addition that added to the functionality and rustic charm. Metres away from the creek where there are kayaks available freely to explore a bit more of the area. Horses, chickens and ducks wondering around the beautifully presented grounds. If you haven't been here yet make sure you get there soon as I imagine it will become more and more popular.

Wow! What a weekend! Stayed at the Mountain View sight. We had 5 families stay with a pleather of kids. Vast open room beautiful views and great hosts. This is the second time I have stayed there and they have really made the sites so good for any size gathering. Once again we will be back. Dean brought down some animals for the kids to meet and they loved it. From kayaking to fishing there is so much for the kids and big kids to enjoy. Great facilities and they have the entire property in pristine condition. We recommend this to anyone from swags and tents to large caravans. Trust me make a booking and enjoy this treasured gem you won’t be disappointed. Thanks again to the happy and friendly hosts you made our weekend.

Weekend Trip to Hopevale Adventure Camping
The Mountain View site was perfect for a group of 8 people for 2 nights. It was spacious and away from other sites which provided us a noise-free getaway. The toilet and shower is situated right next to the site which was convenient. There are also hikes you can do on the land which gave us an activity to do throughout the day. Highly recommend this campsite as qe will definitely be coming back for another stay. Big thanks to Jason for being a great host.

We loved our stay at Yabba Creek! This was our second time and it was even better than the first. A great place for the kids (and adults) to be entertained with pony rides, feeding time with the animals, kayaking and exploring in the creek. Lots of space between the camps, all of them with excellent views. Clean toilets, water etc, firewood to buy and close into town if needed. Kaylea and Dean are just so lovely and accommodating also. We will be back again!

I don’t want to recommend this camp site to anyone so we can keep it all to ourselves! Rick and Jena are lovely, the animals are gorgeous, the creek is beautiful, and there is also a free area for kids to play with games, read books, and use Kayaks without extra hire. We are avid campers and this is the best campsite we have ever visited. Jena and Rick want to make your stay fun also and will try to accommodate you as best they can and dogs are allowed off leash to interact and make friends too. I can’t fault them or the campsite at all. :)

What a wonderful stay we had at Rick and Jena’s property - River Run. Very spacious sites, beautiful river frontage and designated fire pits to sit around and enjoy the views. Plenty of space for our kids to run around with access to play equipment for them to use. Rick and Jena were so lovely and very accommodating to any of our needs. They encouraged us to pick some oranges from their orchard, which the kids enjoyed and we also loved patting the cute goats that roam free during the day. We will definitely be back in the warmer months to enjoy the use of their kayaks and a swim in the river.

Great camp for Hiking enthusiasts. I managed to get to all the hikes in, in one day but would recommend doing it over 2 days instead to not rush. Very peaceful campgrounds with great views. Would definitely come again for the 4WD tracks next time.

We really enjoyed our stay at camp site 1. Plenty of space and well maintained, with morning sun and shade in the late afternoon from the trees along the creek. Site 1 has a really nice outlook with the creek right in front. Other campsites are well spaced out so feels very private. Short walk into town, plus a short walk down to the river which is very pretty and a great spot for the kids to play. Would highly recommend to others.

What an amazing place to camp. So secluded if you want the Serene solitude. Or a camp with family and friends group. Either way we will definitely be back. Such spacious areas for all types of camping. Fire pits available, toilets are immaculately cleaned daily and bore water for use. About

Noosa National Park features the spectacular coastal scenery of Noosa Headland, and nearby areas around Lake Weyba, Peregian and Coolum. Surrounded by development, this park is a wildlife sanctuary, protecting beautiful stands of eucalypt forest, woodland, melaleuca wetland, colourful wallum heathland and pockets of dense vine-strewn rainforest.

While camping is not allowed in Noosa National Park, there are plenty of Sunshine Coast camping areas and caravan parks nearby, at Noosa Heads, Peregian Beach, and Coolum Beach. North of Brisbane, Noosa features spectacular coastal scenery and is a place you’re likely to spot koalas, lace monitors, cockatoos, and kookaburras. Take the beachfront Hastings Street boardwalk to join the 11-kilometre Coastal Walk, which includes the Laguna Lookout. There are 15 kilometres of marked bushland walking tracks, and you can also hit the surf at any of the surrounding beaches.

When to go

Noosa has an average daily temperature of 25°C in summer, with water temperatures around the same, dropping to 19°C in winter. Summer (December to February) is hot and humid, with some relief provided by coastal breezes, but this is the busiest time of year as Noosa is a prime holiday destination for Australians. Easter is also a popular time to visit.

Know before you go

  • Early mornings and dusk are the best times for koala spotting and birdwatching.
  • There is no wheelchair access to Laguna Lookout.
  • Wheelchair-accessible toilets and picnic tables are available in the Noosa Headland day-use area.
