Maluka Park

10 sites · RVs, Tents100 acres · Imbil, Gympie
During busy times, most weekend bookings are a minimum of 2 nights with 1 night bookings during the week, however occasionally we will have 1 night bookings on weekends. Check with your host to see availability on 1 night bookings. Our property is situated between Imbil and Lake Borumba on the beautiful Yabba Creek. We have 110 acres, with campsites on 40 acres. We have 1km of creek frontage. The creek has ample room for fishing, swimming and even kayaking. If you're lucky you'll spot the platypus in the creek and there's lots of birdlife around so bring your cameras! Kayaks are supplied free for all campers to use. We just ask that you treat them with respect and return them back to their launching place once you have finished with them. It would pay to pack your reef walkers as the river is rocky in spots. There is lots of space for motorhomes and large camping vehicles to maneuver and park. Plenty of flat spots for your tent or vehicle. This campsite has access to flushing toilets (toilets are situated approx. 400m from the camp sites) and water (rainwater), but you will need to bring your own camping shower. Campfires are permitted outside of fire-ban season (please use the existing firepits). Firewood is available and can be delivered to your site by our local contractor. Cost is $20 for a generous load or $10 for a half load. The property features a gorgeous rainforest with a walking track that you can follow safely, and you can also access the state forest next door if you're up for a bigger adventure. Lake Borumba is just down the road which permits water skiing, boating, fishing and other water recreation. We are a working cattle and horse property but we do allow pets, however pet owners will need to abide by the rules as set out under the Rules and Safety "Pets" section. Please note that there is a rifle range within hearing distance from Maluka Park and campers may at times on weekends hear gunshots. This generally only goes for a few hours.

Camp sites are far from the house and other sites so you can have camp fires and play your music without worry of disturbing the neighbours. We have a tap/ hosepipe at the side of the main house where you can fill up water canisters but might be easier to bring your own water. Campers will need to be self contained (rubbish and toilets) and please leave your campsite the way you found it. Exit by pushing the button on the right hand gate post as you leave. Look for the BLUE ribbon and silver button. It closes on it's own. We hope you enjoy the peace and quiet out here. If you need anything or have any questions please text or call me : 0487047270
