Augie is one of our resident Koalas. He was released onto our property from Australia Zoo Hospital in 2023, just the same year we arrived here. Our little paradise features 30 acres, of which 20 belong to Augie and his friends as prime Koala habitat. On the remaining acres we enjoy having a stunning little lake, just creating that zen feeling. Camping spots all have stunning views of the lake which invites you to take a stroll around following an easy walking track. Maybe you can spot Augie or be delighted by the beautiful local birds that share our space. Our Kangaroo family usually grazes until sunrise just on the open grass area near the camp spots. This space is perfect for kicking a ball and if you are interested in hearing and learning about Permaculture and/or Conservation, be sure to chat to your host Tanja. Children under 12 stay free. Please continue to add them to your booking (you won't be charged), so we can keep track of numbers. A delicious breaky can be enjoyed at the nearby Cooloola Strawberry farm (2 min by car) or maybe try a subtropical dinner at Sublime (5 min by car) a quirky QLD pub. Destinations to explore close by include Fraser Island, Tin Can Bay, and Rainbow Beach (between 35 and 45 min drive, 50 min to the Fraser Island Ferry), Lake Poona (30 min) nature trail, or visit Ponoma market (40 min) and Gympie’s cafes and shops (15 min) just around the corner.Welcome and Herzlich Wilkommen to our little paradise set on 30 beautiful acres. Thank you for an amazing stay! Ben was friendly, thoughtful and accommodating to all our needs. We loved swimming in the beautiful lake and koala spotting. Would come back!

Very quiet and peaceful. There aren't many campsites so it isn't crowded. We enjoyed walking around the lake. Bernd was really friendly and welcoming.

Beautiful spot and great location. The thing we didn't enjoy so much was that the camp spots were no more than 50 meters from the main house. This might be ok for some, but I would have appreciated knowing this before booking. Also, the toilet on site is actually under the host's house, great to have, but again, would have been appreciated to know this beforehand. The description mentions no BYO firewood, I respect that, trying to keep things as natural to the local ecosystem as possible, What was disappointing, was that our bought onsite bucket of firewood had furniture wood in it, might have been a mistake? Not sure, but contradictory to the ethos. Saying that, really lovely acreage, and thanks for sharing it.

It's a beautiful site to spend a holiday. Very calm and a lot of green. Beautiful walk around the lake and you might spot a Koala if you are lucky.

Loved our stay here. Absolutely beautiful property. We all enjoyed a lovely refreshing swim in the lake, after Bernd took out for a walk around the property, and explained the story’s of both koalas. Both Tanja and Bernd were so kind and welcoming helped us move all our stuff and checked we were alright. Would definitely recommend staying on this property, and jumping in the lake for a swim. Was an amazing experience, thank you Bernd and Tanja.

The property is a very quiet nature reserve. I just stopped for a day and one night. Very relaxing and hardly a car to be heard. Thanks for offering your property Tanja.

We had a fantastic stay at Tanja's land! The lake was absolutely stunning and made for such a peaceful backdrop. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. It was so quiet and serene—Waking up to see kangaroos hopping around, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to relax in nature.

Had such a beautiful time here, the hosts were so welcoming and lovely they really made my stay. The property is beautiful, would recommend to anyone who is looking for something a bit quieter off the beaten track but still close to main supermarkets! Had a great time would recommend 10 out of 10

Lovely little farm. It was nice to have a proper toilet, rather than a long drop or composting toilet. It was a good quiet spot and the pond was very pretty in the morning.

Camping at Augies was great. Tanja boasts a lovely property with some private camp spots close enough to the toilet at the house. There is a beautiful dam which is a perfect spot for a morning coffee. Tanja is lovely and has two beautiful dogs, Chester and Hazel. Unfortunately we weren’t lucky enough to see the koalas.

Lovely stop amongst the trees, lots of birds and the dam was great for a swim. Bernd was very friendly and helpful. I'll be back!

I had such a lovely stay at Augie's Paradise, it went too quickly! The hosts were incredibly welcoming and showed me around their beautiful property. It was so nice to sit back, relax and listen to all of the wildlife. I was lucky enough to see a koala at night and some kangaroos in the morning! Treat yourself to a swim in the dam or just sit by the water and enjoy the view. Be sure to check out Cooloola Berries while you're there, just a few minutes down the road.

Very idyllic site, hosts were fantastic, woke up to kangaroos around the dam, enjoyed breakfast watching the wildlife as it was so peaceful. Definitely will be back.
