Located on the beautiful O'Connell River, this camp site is surrounded by gorgeous landscapes including a mountain range and the river. The property boasts many areas to go for walks, enjoy the wildlife and relax.
You can enjoy spacious camping choices either along the river or on other selected areas throughout the property (we will show you where).
We always ensure a limited number of campers so you get the space and tranquility you deserve on your camping trip. No side by side camping, always spacious and comfortable.
There is access to a large number of compostable
toilets, and composting and recycling facilities are available (we ask that you
please take all general rubbish with you).
Wildlife is in abundance throughout the property and includes grazing wallabies, ducks and birdlife which are
an everyday occurrence. The property is also the home of our Festival - Mushroom Valley, throughout the site you will find different pieces of artwork, decor and permanent structures that bring artistic life to the site.
We are a friendly and relaxed family who live on the site and we look forward to welcoming you to our little piece of paradise.

Sandy Creek Esk Camping

THE PROPERTY
Ideally loacted just 3 kl from the township of Esk this 50 acre farm offers campers the perfect retreat to relax and unwind.
With large level and mown grassy sites there is plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the space. Firepits are provided for campsites.
An amazing covered communal area offers basic cooking facilities and great seating areas overlooking the dam to relax and enjoy the outlook.
The farm has a variety of animals including alpacas and goats and we invite you to join us to feed and pat them in the afternoons.
You will also notice a group of 6 geese that wander around the property plus a vast array of native birdlife and you may also be able to spot the odd koala.
The property used to be a fish farm and there is 13 dams. The main dam is large and provides the opportunity for a swim, kayak or paddleboard. We invite guests to bring these with them.
The farm also borders Sandy Creek. Whilst this has little water it is a great spot to take the kids down to and play in the sand and maybe a bit of a paddle.
All the fencing on the farm is 6ft high dogwire and we do welcome dogs however with the geese and also free range chickens dogs must be kept controlled at all time.
PLEASE NOTE. There is no power. All rubbish to be removed when you go. No showers. Toilets are available.

Buranga Farm

Buranga Farm is a small organic family-run farm on 60 acres in the Noosa hinterland only ten minutes from Peregian Beach. The property is largely flat with a hill on the Eastern side and a ridgeline at the very back of the property. There are plenty of cleared open areas as well as a mix of lightly treed and native vegetation.
Site one and two are located on the hillside looking west to Mount Cooroy and are best suited for couples.
Sites three and four share a large open grassed area the flows down to the main dam that offers great swimming. All areas of the property are open to campers to walk through and explore.
The farm comprises a series of ponds near the road that are in the process of being renovated for Red Claw Crayfish. There are fruit trees and veggie gardens around the house, as well as a horse and house cow that guests are welcome to interact with. The balance of the land is either grazed by our small herd of Murray Grey Cattle or set aside for regeneration.

Unplug and unwind at our 22 acre camping paradise nestled amongst the rolling green hills of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Listen to the babbling water sounds of Scrubby Creek and the Mary River that meandering through the perimeter of the property for over 1 kilometer. Stroll through our little rainforest, paddle in the creek or have a dip in one of the many rock pools. We will even let you build as many rock towers as you like! Throw an inner tube in the creek and float around while the kids laugh and play all day long. Let the kids dig holes or fossick for the perfect skimming rocks, ride bikes or play endless games on the beautiful landscaped grass. Plenty of trees to put up that hammock or grab a soak in our outdoor bath with views overlooking the wilderness. Sit back and gaze at the starlit skies while the kids roast yet another marshmallow on the campfire. Snuggle up during winter and cool down around the rainforest in summer. Abundant wildlife, lots of kangaroos and wallabies, koalas and beautiful birds everywhere.
Please be aware that weekends are family times and do get busy with extra people. During the week it is very quiet and you could have the whole place to yourself. Sites are allocated on weekends based on numbers and if you are camping with children and dogs.
We have large flat grassy sites nestled amongst the trees. Campsites are far enough away from other campers to enjoy the privacy. Each site can easily hold up to 4 – 5 families perfect for group bookings. Loads of space for tents, camper trailers, caravans or motorhomes.
Pets permitted but must be restrained around waterways as we have endangered frogs.

A beautiful creek descends through the 135 acres which includes rainforest that is listed as State significant vegetation.
There is a deep swimming hole at the waterfall and other swimming areas up and down the creeks.
You can hike to the upper plateaus that feature two ancient Strangler Figs with
ocean views and a view of Mt.Warning as well as to the Bushranger Caves and lookouts higher up on the Lamington Plateau.
Natural beauty is everywhere you look with mountain views, volcanic boulders and rock formations, Upland Rainforest and lots of wildlife.

Burrum Shores Campgrounds offers well maintained grassy sites with access to the beach.
We limit our listings to 9 bookings at a time with 6 having ocean front views and 3 wetland view sites (all are dog friendly) where you can watch the sun rise or set. Everyone has plenty of space to sit back and unwind in our slice of serenity.
Campfires are welcome in a raised fire pit, either bring your own or use one of our communal campfire areas. Firewood and kindling is available for purchase on arrival.
There is drinkable water available onsite but no toilet or shower amenities. All caravans and motor homes must be fully self contained. All waste and rubbish to be taken off site. There is a dump point in Burrum Heads at Hillcrest Caravan Park just five minutes into town.
All sites are pet friendly on application. We ask that you keep your dogs on leash all of the time.
Our only rules are that you respect the property and other guests.

Hold it Flats is a 120 acre property that borders the beautiful O'Connell River that has water all year round. Take a walk around the property to check out some of the creatures that have been built out of scrap metal and bush bars that have been built all around the property.
There is nice shady, green grass and flat camping sites right beside the river with hot showers and flushing toilets. There is plenty of room and some great tracks for the kids and the big kids to ride their push bikes on. The swimming hole is about 2 meters deep and has big shady trees on the edge. There is also enough room for kids to bring their kayaks and have a paddle along the river.
All campsites can be provided with their own fire pit. You just pick your spot and we will bring a portable fire pit to you. Fire wood can be purchased at the property. All rubbish must be taken when you, there are no rubbish bins provided.

We have a 15 acre elevated bush block with space for 15 or so tents, camper trailers or caravans. There is a council maintained 2 km gravel road which provides access & most vehicles can make it here reliably in any weather. Please note that you are unlikely to make it up our road due to the lack of grip on the gravel if you have a front wheel drive vehicle with any significant sized trailer. Our campgrounds can also be very slippery if wet.The camping area has no amenities, however it shares a spectacular view south across the QLD/NSW border from 300 meters above sea level, with Mt. Maroon 6 km away. Also visible are Mt. Barney and Mt. Lindsay. The local area has a tourism focus with plenty of opportunities to explore the Scenic Rim. Mt. Maroon and Mt. Barney offer walking trails to the top, Lake Moogera and Maroon Dam are not far away for jetskis, kayaking and swimming and we also have several eateries withing 25 minutes. Choose from some 1,000 national parks, forests and other protected areas, and a host of other camping sites. From the golden beaches and green hinterland of the Gold Coast in the south to the rugged loneliness of Cape York to the north, and the extraordinary Great Barrier Reef offshore, campers are spoiled for choice.
South East Queensland
With the state capital Brisbane as your starting point, head to Queensland’s first National Park, Lamington National Park (established in 1915), for cooler climes and ancient Gondwana rainforests. The south-east’s subtropical climate means lots of sunshine, perfect for any camping trip.
Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef
Cairns is the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef, with island and mainland camping to suit all, with a choice of 19 National Parks. Don flippers and snorkel and hit the water, explore the 165-million-year-old Daintree Rainforest, or head inland to the wonders of Undara Volcanic National Park to camp near ancient lava tubes.
Sunshine Coast
Living up to its name, the Sunshine Coast basks in its many natural attractions, from 100km of beaches to forested hinterland. Spot koalas in Noosa National Park, take a kayak up-river to camp in the Noosa Everglades, or head north along the beach in the Great Sandy National Park. The volcanic peaks of the Glass House Mountains National Park offer hikers and climbers a challenge.
Whitsundays
From Airlie Beach, take off for the green islands of Whitsunday Islands National Park or stick to the coast, exploring Conway National Park, where you may be joined by rock wallabies. Despite its holiday atmosphere, it’s easy to get away from it all. The best islands for hiking and camping are Whitsunday Island and Hook Island.
Southern Great Barrier Reef Region
Straddling the Tropic of Capricorn, this somewhat under-rated region has much to offer. Visit in summer for turtle nesting and hatching at Mon Repos Conservation Park, or head offshore to Lady Elliot Island. The main towns are Bundaberg and Gladstone, but it’s worth checking out the coastal villages of Agnes Water and 1770 or heading inland to explore the trails and gorges of the spectacular Carnarvon National Park.
