Located just 3 km west of Imbil township, and 10 km from Borumba Dam, Yabba Creek Farm is nestled along the tranquil Yabba Creek, with majestic Mount Grainger and forested ridge-lines as your ever-changing backdrop. It’s one of three Hipcamps along this stretch of the creek… just after Yabba Ridge and before Maluka Park 2025 Best Hipcamp WINNER!! ***IMPORTANT. STRICTLY NO PARTIES** NO loud music or excessive noice. All social noise must remain within site. Zero tolerance on all noise after 9pm. Free kayak hire – 🛶 A must-do to explore the beauty that brings visitors back again and again. Deep Swimming holes and shallow creek areas. Perfect for both adventurers and little ones. Wildlife - Spot platypus, lungfish, turtles, wallabies, goannas, and abundant birdlife. Fishing closures… Mary river cod breeding season 1st August - 31st October. No fishing from Yabba Creek during this time. Unfazed by weather – Access to the farm and campsites remains reliable even with rain or minor flooding. Tucked away beyond the main creek sites, this “Hidden Gem” is one of the most unique and soul-soothing campsites you’ll ever discover. Set right near the water’s edge, it boasts breathtaking views of Mount Grainger’s rugged cliff faces and forested peaks. Keep an eye out for our resident and frequently sighted platypus, lungfish, and turtles. They are often spotted right from the site. With private access to the most picturesque stretch of creek for swimming beside the huge fallen boulders, this is a must-stay location for those craving, connection, and a deeper breath of nature. - Campfires welcome in the provided fire pit. - No caravans, but small off-road camper trailers are okay (requires confident maneuvering around trees) - 4WD preferred, though 2WD can be accommodated with care - Designed for privacy and serenity. Your own pocket of paradise (please note, there are other sites close to this site, and other guests do paddle past and swim to the rocks especially during weekends and school holiday). Other info.. - Approx 200m to toilets and tap water. - Limited sunlight during winter. Part sun during summer. STRICTLY NO PARTIES!!! No loud music or excessive noice. Campers booked into Hidden Gem do need to drive past this site. Not suitable for caravans. Off road camper trailers are acceptable. 4wd preferred but can accomodate 2wd. STRICTLY NO PARTIES!!! Grey Gums is a spacious site and a great site for families with children. Close to the swing and trampoline It is the first site located on the upper bank. Part shade and sun. It’s close to toilet and also water hook up within site. Bush shower cold water only. Option to BYO hot tap and connect Frequent visits from chickens and turkey you are welcome to feed at any time in your camp.. please be mindful of booking with dogs as it’s a busy camp with animals “Grey Gums” is a short walk to the creek where you’ll have free use of the Yabba Creek Farm kayaks. Absolutely beautiful. The camp sites are all well set up and quiet, access to Yabba Creek was so easy and effortless. They are always improving facilities which will make the experience even better. Highly recommend Yabba Creek Farm. Great place to just sit back relax and chill. Bonus was I got to see a Platypus while paddling on the creek late afternoon. Vehicle and van access was easy and effortless. The hosts Kaylee and Dean were so friendly and easy to deal with, nothing was an issue. We will definitely be back.

Stayed 2 nights during the week. The sound of the nearby mill was a little annoying -wasnt the sounds of nature I was hoping for. But this was made up for by the beautiful areas, clean facilities, free kayaks to enjoy the beautiful creek, and the brilliant service. Dean was exceptionally helpful and very friendly, put me at ease immediately. Thankyou Dean for all your help!

“Grey Gums" family site
Loved our site at Yabba Creek Farm. Multiple access to the river and nice walks. Grey Gums is a large flat area, great for kids as there is a swing, trampoline and a fun little rope hill climb (my kids loved!) Dean offered to hook up the gas for the shower, the hot water which was a treat! Easy access to drinkable water and toilets. Loved the view of the mountain with the shack's! Enjoyed a lovely kayak on the river with the kids. Highly recommended! We enjoyed our stay so much we have rebook in a couple of weeks to stay at the Mountain View shack!

Beautiful Hipcamp! We stayed in the grey gum site and it was perfect for kids. Big trampoline and swing nearby. Easy access to toilets. The kids had a lot of fun watching the animals and playing on the kayaks. Owners were close if you needed them but not overbearing. They were always friendly and happy to help. No negatives and we will definitely be back.

We stayed on the silky oak site and it was a good space with a beautiful view of the mountain and across the creek. There were other campers around that you could see, but far enough away that they didn’t disrupt us. Yabba Creek farm is very well maintained. There are 2 portaloo toilets near the site and were the cleanest we have ever seen! Both Kaylea and Dean were very friendly and welcoming.

Yabba Creek Farm is an absolute hidden gem! Thank you Dean and Kaylea for your excellent communication and for creating this space. We were blown away by the breathtaking mountain views and peaceful surroundings. It truly is a beautiful place to switch off, slow down and enjoy quality family time. The new hot-water shower was an absolute lifesaver on a frosty 7°C morning and waking up to a hot shower surrounded by nature was pretty special! Our family loved every little detail, especially the trampoline, kayaks, cosy fireplace and the sheltered area where we could sit together and enjoy our meals. There is so much here to keep the kids entertained while the adults can relax and soak up the scenery. You can feel the love and thought that has gone into making Yabba Creek Farm such a special place by the owners. We made some beautiful family memories here and honestly didn’t want to leave. ❤️ We’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend this beautiful slice of paradise. 🌿🏕️

Kaylea and Dean were amazing! I don’t have nicer words to speak about them both. We had a magical stay down at Stones Throw for 4 nights, so private and only a few minutes from Imbil if we needed anything. Wildlife from Wallaby’s, Kingfishers, Platypus, Turtles etc - this place has it all! Plenty to explore in the area. Will be coming back sooner rather than later 🙌🏼 thank you both for a wonderful stay.

We stayed four nights at Mountain View & very easily could have stayed another four. The space was everything we wanted…spacious, peaceful, well appointed & cared for. We happily set up our teardrop camper trailer next to the shelter & enjoyed every minute. Dean & Kaylee look after the space beautifully. The amenities are maintained & looked after. Dean & Kaylee have also given thought to extra touches that make their guests feel welcome & informed.

Absolutely stunning property. We stayed on Silky Oaks which had beautiful green grass, a water tap, close to the toilets, firepit and a short stroll to the creek. Nice flat area for a caravan or camper trailer with room for tents and gazebos. They also had kayaks to use free of charge which we used to explore the creek. Would definitely come back again!

My 11-year-old daughter and I had a wonderful stay at Jacks Shack for van camping. From the moment we arrived, the hosts were incredibly welcoming and friendly, which immediately made us feel at home. The site is spotlessly clean and very well maintained. The location is stunning — beautiful views with the mountain right in front of you, open scenery, horses and cows grazing nearby, and the most peaceful soundtrack of birds singing in the mornings. At night the sky was filled with stars — perfect for lying back and soaking it all in. This is an especially great spot for families with kids. My daughter loved the animals and the relaxed, natural setting. We both agreed it’s one of those places we’ll definitely come back to. Highly recommend Yabba Creek Farm for anyone wanting a peaceful, beautiful, and family-friendly camping experience. Thank you to the hosts! 🙏

Grey gums was a great spot for our family. Kids had heaps of room for bikes and ball games. The fire pit is well placed for us and for larger families to set up around. Water and portaloos in easy walking distance. Kids loved seeing the horses everyday. The Guinea pig visits where a massive hit. Views are amazing from the creek to the mountain back drop. Although we didn't brave the kayaks due to the time of year and younger kids they are an amazing addition to what's included and only add to the overall appeal of the property. Heaps of space between sites so it doesn't feel like you on-top of each other. Thanks for the effort you have put in to the property for visitors. Kids are already asking when are we going back!
