The sites are level pastured camping areas with lovely trees providing good shade alongside the river. We have tried to preserve the natural ecosystem on the river bank so it is heavily wooded and largely untouched. The total area for camping is approximately 500 metres with only four sites spaced far apart to ensure plenty of space and privacy. Each site has very easy access to the river, via a couple of tracks. You can enjoy swimming and kayaking in the river. Fishing is welcome when permitted but must be catch and release only. There is plenty of wildlife to see, especially for bird watchers: kingfishers, parrots and birds of prey as well as platypus, air breathing lungfish and Mary River turtles. Access is 4WD or AWD only. In severe weather the Mary River can flood. Be prepared to leave in extreme weather. Campers must be self sufficient with their own camping toilet and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Pets are welcome.

Lack of communication due to no phone service on arrival. No animals per photos. No mention that creek was steep access. Plowing fields and fertilising from sun up to sun down which was very noisy. Could be a great spot.

A beautiful spot right near the river. Quiet & pristine. Plenty of space per site, nice shady trees but also open areas. Well looked after grounds. We look forward to returning soon.

Lovely, quiet, remote. Site 4 has easiest river access. Tricky to get in at night and make sure you are definitely 4wd. A nice clean large space

We had a great time at Kenilworth Free Range Farm. We booked Site 4 but luckily for us had the whole place to ourselves on a chilly weekend. The morning mist was very impressive.

Site 4 - Mary River Frontage Camp
We stayed at Site 3 and had the place to ourselves thanks to some last-minute weather cancellations. The site was flat and spacious, easily fitting our two caravans and cars. Major bonus: it’s properly dog-friendly, with our dogs able to roam off-leash and enjoy the open space. A few things to keep in mind. The access road has six large potholes which are well overdue to be filled in. Also the access road is very steep and very slippery if it has been raining. You’ll definitely need a 4WD to get in (we used 4L) and out safely (we used 4L in 3rd gear). The electric fence gate was also awkward to manage and hard to reconnect once opened. The listing mentions river access, but note that the sites are not river frontage. There's a considerable drop-off down to the river, so it's not easily accessible from your camp. One suggestion to the owners: during guest arrivals, please make sure your dogs are secured. They ran up to our car as we entered, and one jumped up on the driver’s side door, leaving scratches. Overall, we enjoyed the peace and space but recommend this spot for confident drivers with proper vehicles. Great if you're looking for a quiet, off-grid bush escape with your pups.

Site 2 was great for our rooftop tent setup tucked in away from the other sites which made it good for privacy but no view of the river but enjoyed the sunset over the cattle paddocks.

Excellent hosts and beautiful surrounds. The campsites were clean with plenty of space. We spotted a platypus, black cockatoos and many shooting stars. We will definitely be back.

We loved camping here. We were the only ones there so it was so peaceful. And the little spot down by the river was great. It would be lovely when it ran clear but with the rain it was murky. Thanks Gordon and Rachel

We loved staying here in our hybrid van. It was quite peaceful, and got to see a glimpse of a platypus in the creek. Gordon was very friendly and easy going. Camps 3 and 4 are the larger sites and near each other, but not on top of each other.

Such a fantastic spot! My wife and I plus our young puppy enjoyed a night at site 1 which was absolutely perfect. A decent amount of space between each site. Our site was very nice and spacious with absolutely stunning views! Peaceful and quiet and perfect for a night or few away! Definitely on the list for a return. Thanks Gordon and Rachel!

Site 3 - Mary River Frontage Camp
Gordon easy going and pleasant to deal with. We had sites 3 and 2. Had 3 groups across the sites with ample room for our vans and common area. Would say sites 3 and 4 best for bigger than 16ft vans. River access off 4 and 3 (4 way easier). Can hit the river on a hour paddle to the bridge downstream for pick up. Or go up Moy Pocket rd way and come back to the camp site. Dogs, kids adults all had a great time!

Such a lovely and spacious campsite. Easy to set up camper trailer with good access to the site. The dog loved the freedom off leash for the weekend, with no campers nearby to be concerned about. The swimming was awesome in the Mary River, just down from the campsite, we had a good 100 metres of river to ourselves to enjoy all weekend. Not far to drive to Kenilworth to visit markets or pick up treats or supplies. Great to have limited mobile coverage, encouraging some down time from phones, but enough range if you really need to connect. Ready to return very soon for another relaxing getaway. Thank you to Gordon and Rachael for sharing your beautiful property.

Nice grassy spot by the river. Reasonably level area to camp. Owner leaves you alone but is there if needed, which we like. We would stay again.

Great spot for self-contained campers or caravanners. Four official campsites but lots of flat areas to choose from allowing you to be well separated from other sites. Access to Mary River for kayaking, swimming or fishing is possible but a little challenging with steep slope.

Absolutely spectacular camp site.. nice and private and awesome waking up to the cows in the morning! Gordon was so accomidating and one of the friendliest blokes I've dealt with as a host. 10/10 on all accounts.

The spot is beautiful and quiet, just a short walk down to the beautiful Mary river. Plenty of shady or sunny spots depending on your preference. Excellent communication from the hosts :) We would come back any time

Site 1 - Mary River Frontage Camp
Very private sites for site 1 and 2 be careful on sites 1 and 2 if you are larger than a camper trailer as there is not room to turn around. We were lucky that we were first there and could reverse down from sites 3 and 4 which are large and spacious. Creak is very nice for the kids to play and fish in. The signage is very small once your are in there and no sign at the front so we were not sure we were in the right place.
