We are a 90acre private property who raise cattle and goats and have opened up to campers who, like us, prefer and love peace and nature and like to keep their surroundings beautiful, enjoyable and safe for everyone else. Most of our sites are nestled on different levels between trees and bush , and whilst you may not see your neighbours the bush unfortunately is not sound proof. Due to the unique surroundings we offer, we require you to be extra vigilant with fire safety and to consider your neighbouring campers and our neighbours by observing our no loud music and quiet time of 10pm rules. Please read site descriptions carefully as we have sites that are substantially different in access, and toilet distance. We absolutely abhor toilet paper in the bush. If you book a site without toilet, bring your own, or walk to one of the 3 perfectly good loo's that we have on the property. If this may be a problem for you, please do not book our sites. Full rules are available during booking before you pay and on a tree in each site, we kindly ask you read and agree with them before booking. To all of our wonderful regular campers, we say thank you. We love hosting you on our property and look forward to see you again in the future. After the persistent rain this year, all of our property is advertised as 4WD only, exception is the Dam via gate 4 and Didjabringyabeeralong as it has no particular steep or sloped entry. We affectionately call our property "The Rustic Resort". This is a tribute to the rusty water tanks and dilapidated animal shelters that were left behind when we moved in. Our farm was part of a thriving rural property in the 1920's. It used to be a dairy farm and then a banana farm. We now raise goats and cattle. All of our sites have a fire pit or drum and you are welcome to have a campfire while there is no fire ban. in place. Most sites are within easy walking distance from a toilet. The Secret Hideaway and Loki's lair however have a fairly long walk to the toilet, should this be unmanageable for you, please make sure you bring your own camping toilet as we get rather upset with holes or waste in the bush. Our property is dog-friendly to responsible dog owners, has a large farm dam that never runs dry, (NO fishing please as we use this for livestock and swimming dam only, and the last thing we need is hooks in peoples or animals feet. ) it is wonderful for a refreshing swim, there is a ladder to make it easy to get into the dam and there are floating noodles for your use during the summer months, feel free to bring your paddle boards and canoes. We are centrally located to explore the Glass house mountains, Stoney creek, Rocky holes, Bribie island, Woodford, Mt Mee, Montville, Maleny and much much more. We are 10 minutes from Woodford and the wonderful Woodford Folk Festival. "White Ridge Farm" in Elimbah , only 10 minutes from us, and the kids will love the interactive farm experience and cuddling the baby animals. Wamuran has an IGA, a wonderful butcher, a bakery, a fish and chip shop and a Thai/Indian take away that is sensational. Wamuran holds a local country market every 4th Saturday per month from 7am to midday. There now is a Pizza van in town, 3 out of 4 weekends, look up Deadwood Pizza Wamuran to check the dates. Wamuran is less than an hour north from the city, yet you will feel like you are far away. If you have any questions please drop us a message.

Loki's Lair
We had a lovely stay at Loki’s Lair. The perfect spot, private and quiet. We enjoyed a nice fire and got to explore the property during the day. Doris was lovely and gave us many great recommendations for our stay in the area. Would recommend staying here!

Our campsite woopwoop was very secluded and private from the other sites. Direction where clear, little signs attached to trees clearly guiding you to your camp site. Toilets where very clean, and the host Doris made you feel very welcomed.

Doris was an absolutely lovely host. The sites were well spaced and we didn't see or hear anyone else during our stay! The toilets were in amazing condition and the dam was beautiful. The firewood provided by Doris was of very high quality (hardwood) and the town of wamuaran was a stones throw away as was the rail trail wamuaran to caboolture. We love our stay the only thing is that it is dusty, but you should expect this with bush camping and on our next visit we will bring more floor tarps!

The Old Well
We loved the campsite “The Old Well”. It’s in a really beautiful spot that is a nice distance from the other campsites at the end of a track. The well itself was a really cool addition to this site and the cover on it was useful as a table. It also had its own shelter which was great! The toilet was only a short walk away (30m or so). There were some good flat spots to park the car and set up the roof top tent. Doris was lovely and popped down to say hello while we were getting set up! A fantastic campsite all in all!

Dad and Sons weekend adventures
Stayed here with my 5and 9yr old boys , We only camped for one night and they didn’t want to leave , Doris dropped off our firewood with a big smile and nice chat, Secret hideaway was awesome, the whole place is awesome, simple but very effective . We will be back again soon l, might hit the Dam site when the weather gets warmer,

The Old Well
I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a quick little weekend escape.. it was perfect. We stayed at the old well and it’s a great spot for a larger sized family. We had 6 in our group with still enough space to kick the football around all day. Take the kids and a few beers with you to the dam and enjoy a few hours there. Great spot.. we will be back :)

Contact problems
As your complex contact procedures combined with breaking my phone I was unable to find the place and lost my money so not thrilled with the whole process. A contact ph no for emergencies would always be a useful backup

Great escape
I had a great stay at Rustic Resort. It was a very peaceful and quiet site. Toilet facilities were great. My dog and I enjoyed walks around the property and up to the dam. Doris was extremely helpful and kind. Would highly recommend.

The place was close enough to civilisation yet far enough to feel like you are on your own. We were provided with clear instructions to locate the sites and had a friendly visit from the owners, who provided us with some information on areas to visit. We enjoyed some quiet time and the other campers were very respectful. Would definitely visit again.

Woop woop was super relaxing
Such a great spot, the camp-site was easy to find, simple to follow directions from main road. Clean and well stocked amenities. Doris paid us a visit to check we were doing OK and happy. I've stayed at other hipcamps and you never see the owners at all. Was nice to see the owners. We stayed at woop woop, was very quiet and big for the 2 of us, plenty of space. Well probably get 2 bags of firewood per night next time, we like a big fire. Looking forward to staying again soon

The Dam at the Rustic Resort
Only a couple of kms off the D'Aguilar highway the "Dam" site at Rustic Resort was so peaceful and felt really remote. My son and i both enjoyed a swim in the dam which we had all to ourselves and then warmed up by the firepit. We were lucky to spot the Kingfishers feeding amongst lots of birdlife around the dam. Doris (the owner) came to visit us with some firewood we had pre-ordered. She was very friendly and had lots of suggestions about local walks, shops and other nearby places to visit. We would not hesitate to re-visit this place again in the future.
