Settled in 1866 by Mr. Robert Brown. The land is now used for beef cattle and a small amount of dry land hay production. We have 3 private campsites to offer, all have good distance from each other with no visibility of other camps. Approximately 400m from other sites. We like to camp with room too! All sites are fenced off with a gate to drive in and keep the cattle out. Please select a site for more detailed description on what to expect and the extras it offers. Selecting a site will show more accurate photos of that particular location instead of every photo found here. Pets welcome however must remain on leash or tether *Please notify us if bringing a dog* Please clean up after your dog ready for the next camper. Fires permitted only in fire-rings provided. Check for local fire ban restrictions first. There is plenty of wood lying around for use (bring your axe or saw). Things to do - Send some golf balls into space -The creek is seasonal, only flowing after good rain. It will dry up in some conditions. Swimming in the water holes is ok, please check in the water for depth and sticks -Brisbane river is up the road (10mins) to Savages crossing or Twin Bridges. Fantastic swimming or lazing in the running water. -Push bikes, Brisbane Valley Rail Trail is 5min away if you jump on at Borallon Station Rd. Some cattle tracks for the kids to ride along in the paddock also. -Wivenhoe, Somerset Dam in the area for water sports -Wildlife watching, this paddock sustains a large variety of native animals, if you’ve got a keen eye -Bottle Tree pub is just down the road, - bit more than walking distance tho :) -Take it easy.

The Party Hut
We're regular Hipcampers around SEQ and Sandy Creek Camping is one of our absolute faves. Cameron takes such good care of the sites and obviously cares about making sure campers have a good experience. We always feel so privileged to spend time here. Pity about the recent negative review left by a camper who thought it was ok to cut down an established tree within one of the sites to use as firewood, and then leave hacked up shards of timber all over the ground for the owner to clean up. Most of us don't need to be told how not ok that is. Thanks Cameron for the time you give to making this little part of your land such a beautiful place to escape to and spend time in.

Great site for camping with mates
Great spot, about an hour away from Brisbane. Loved that we had our own section away from other campers. Flat ground and well kept. Can bring your dog too. We will definitely be back, loved it.

Perfect stopover
I loved tent camping on Cameron’s land. The site was charming and well maintained. This time I got in late and left early. Next time I’ll have a fire - and a bath under the gums in the cast iron tub.

Absolutely love this spot. Tidy, private and close. The outdoor bath is an amazing way to cap off an afternoon, and the kids loves the fighter jets overhead.
