Is a great place for kids. They loved the goats and the hosts are lovely. Feels quiet and remote but there's a few little towns close if you need to grab anything.

Absolutely beautiful spot, Paul & Tracey are very lovely and easy to talk to. Great spot for the kids too, safe, not too big and having the goats roaming around all day is amazing.
Absolutely cracking experience, very well maintained camp. Lots of spots for space and shade. Highly recommend.

A wonderful stay, great for families or even just by yourself. Some cheeky goats and we got to see alot of baby animals aswell. piglets, lambs and kids.
Was a beautiful getaway, owners very easy going and lovely.
Fantastic camp site clean and well organised. A nice break away feeling like a million miles away from everywhere yet still close to shops if required. With the goats roaming during the day that really gave it the nature feeling.
Really relaxing and would recommend to family’s and couples for that great get away

This was our second trip to Bares. We love that it’s close to home for a quick weekend getaway. Paul & Tracey are very welcoming and have firewood plus ice on sale if required. Everything is kept immaculately clean and tidy and bins are located all over for easy disposal and recycling.
Such an amazing little get away, hot water showers, beautiful fields paul and Tracy are so lovely, the goats are beautiful too!!!

irst time staying at this Hipcamp and we absolutely loved it\! 😍
Paul and Tracy were fantastic hosts — so friendly and accommodating, and they even checked in during the day to make sure we had enough firewood\. Nothing was ever too much trouble\.
The animals wandering around the property were definitely one of the highlights\. 🐐🐷Such a beautiful, peaceful spot\!
The driveway is steep but very well maintained 😅 my daughter managed it in her 2WD without any problems\.
We had such a great stay and can’t wait to come back\! Highly recommend\! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

great place to stay, we only stayed the Sat night as had commitments Saturday morning. but so close to Brissie and the late checkout is awesome allowing a relaxed pack up before lunch and a coldie at the Grandchester pub. we will be back for sure. And not leaving your furry friend at home is great.

Second visit, as good as the first. Simple but clean facilities. Generous and helpful hosts. Gorgeous goats and sheep. Love the bush style camping. We will be back. It’s our fave hip camp quick get away spot.
It was such a lovely experience at the campsite:)
Owners were very friendly and polite, atmosphere was fantastic, animals were cute and harmless. One thing that you need under stand is if you have any foods or drinks, they catch attention from animals so put extra care for it.
All over, this campsite is wonderful place you should visit.
Our first camping trip and absolutely loved it. It offered up privacy yet the comfort and being able to buy firewood or ice when we ran out. Such a beautiful spot, highly recommend

Another peaceful stay at Bares Hideaway. It's starting to become a regular destination! Thanks Paul and Tracy.
We pitched a tent and tarp set up with a group of friends, and we had an absolutely fantastic time.
The vibe of the place has spots where communal camping is welcomed, and there are spots catering for the more independent or private campers.
The driveway is also a fun experience! Hahaha.
Love love love the opportunity to make friends with goats and sheep roaming around the property. There is one male goat that kept us on our toes at breakfast time though. We were assisted by a lovely fella staying onsite, familiar with his goatly wayward ways.
Our whole group loved the vibe of the place 12/10 will return. Fantastic spot.

Good shower & flushing toilets plenty of room
Track in & out no ptoblem for 4wd
We did have to tow out a front wheel drive Toyota Kluger towing a camper trailer as they could not get traction on the uphill gravel sections( I believe the owner will tow your trailer/van out if you have concerns

Bush camping with hot showers & flush toilets. Kids loved the animals and exploring on bikes. Easy base to visit Laidley, Marburg and Grandchester pub.
A short drive from Brisbane, this is a great little spot. Animals were a hit with kids. Hot showers a bonus. Hosts were really friendly.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely loved Bares Hideaway!
We had the most magical first camping trip here! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by sheep and goats — including the adorable Mr Smudge 😂🐐. The setting is so peaceful, bathrooms were clean and well-kept, and we loved seeing little green frogs hopping around at night 🐸.
Paul and Tracey, the owners, are so inviting and truly down to earth — they made us feel right at home from the start.
We had such fun times — BBQ dinners, games by the fire, roasting marshmallows, meeting lovely people and friendly dogs. Vinaya didn’t want to leave and begged to stay another night! We can’t wait to come back ❤️

We camped at the cattle cooler. We had so much space, it was awesome. Sites were clean, Tracy and Paul were amazing and so helpful.
