Stayed for the australia day long weekend. Quiet and peaceful. Facilities are excellent and kept clean. Rosewood is only 15 minutes away if you forget anything, like I always manage to do. Hosts are friendly without intruding.

Nice little private campsite, with clean toilets, hot and cold showers (private and outdoor). Adequate number of rubbish bins and fire bins available. Love seeing the sheep and goats roam around us, eating grass. I was pleasantly surprised by the cool breeze that wafts through every now and then, through the gully. The hosts are friendly, and appear well organised and responsive. Would recommend for a nice,quiet, romantic weekend away.

Have been to Bares Hideaway quite few times and never disappoints. Lovely scenery, the sounds of the birds are beautiful and Paul & Tracey have always been friendly and super accommodating. Worth staying!!

Camping here was an amazing experience with both the farm animals and assistance from Rob (caretaker). The amenities were very clean and well looked after. Would recommend to anyone needing a weekend away from the city and surrounding suburbs.

We had the best time at the paddock. We were luckily enough to have the whole area to ourselves.
The flushing toilets and hot showers were super clean and lots of extra toilet paper. Bins in all the camping areas and separated into recycling and waste.
Tracey and Paul were amazing with the 4 kids allowing them to help feed the animals and Tracey allowed all the kids to have a ride of the quad bike with her when she came around to clean the toilets.
We had a bad storm roll through and Tracey and Paul came around and checked to make sure we knew as internet was patchy and then came out as soon as it was over to check all the campers were ok.
We will definitely be back. It would be lovely in winter.

Best hosts ever!
Can't recommend Bares Hideaway enough.
Paul and Tracey are absolutely amazing in every way.
They made us feel so welcome, entertained the kids with hands on experiences with the animals., warned us of approaching storms and checked on us all after the storms passed..
They kept the very well maintained toilets( with lights) and hot showers so clean and tidy. The added bonus of bins was a plus also.
The grounds are beautiful and well kept and any spot you choose will be amazing.
Thank you, Paul and Tracey for having us all and especially how you went out of your way to allow the kids to experience a bit of life on a farm up close. Its the highlight of their holidays and not only them, but us adults will never forget also.
Can't wait to get back there very soon!

Bares Hideaway
We took our camper trailer with young kids for a few nights and we all had the best time! Paul & Tracy are fantastic hosts and they both went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful time. The kids loved feeding the animals and meeting their beautiful dog - Dalby! We had a storm come through and Paul & Tracy came by before and after to make sure everything was okay. An added bonus was the clean toilets, warm showers and bins! Beautiful property and we will 100% be back soon.

Paul and Tracy are wonderful.
We enjoyed a lot our stay, surrounded by goats sheeps and pigs. The infrastructures are on point: Hot shower, fire bins and kitchen.

My girlfriend and I stayed for one night in this beautiful property.
We slept in our rooftop tent.
Paul and Tracy are lovely people, welcoming and kind.
Communication was excellent and the site was easy to find.
There is plenty of space and all the facilities were kept clean and functioning.
The campsite is beautiful and peaceful.
Unfortunately we had our plans to commit to, otherwise we would have loved to stay longer.

My dog & I had a very relaxing camp at Bares Hideaway 🏕️ Found one of the more private sites along the gully rather than an open grassed paddock site... Hot shower, toilet and basin a stone's throw away and soooooooo peaceful 😌 Hosts (and their dog 🐶) extremely welcoming and hospitable.

Rapt that my pets and I were able to stay at this superb campground at short notice. Hosts are responsive, great communicators and just lovely people, who really make this scenic property greater than the sum of its featured parts. Look forward to returning in the future.

My partner and I had such a lovely stay at Bares Hideaway over new year. 3 nights of relaxation and nature. The campground is lovely. We’d recommend having a good drive around as there are some hidden away, more private pitches too. It was lovely seeing the animals graze and the grounds were kept so clean and tidy. A big plus was having the outdoor showers to be able to cool off during the day. Paul and Tracy were super lovely and accommodating too, as was Rob. Many thanks for the great stay 🙂

What a quiet beautiful site. Absolutely overdelivered on what was on offer, hot showers, flushing toilets and little touches that made the difference. Decent toilet paper, even hand wash!! In the shower there was a place to hang your bag and somewhere to pop your body wash or toothbrush, really thoughtful. They both had solar lights that sensed you and lit up the abolutions perfectly!
Not only was it peaceful, but I could have thought I was so far from anywhere!! Goats wandering around, lovely grassed aread to park up.
Absolutely highly recommend!!!

Campgrounds are peaceful, well maintained, not over crowded, and have good options to choose more private/secluded areas or larger/communal open spaces. Amenties are well maintained and convenient to access. Motion sensor lighting along the pathways at night was great. Tracey and Paul are welcoming hosts who are present and accessible, but not invasive. We appreciated the flexible check-in/out times and ability to choose our own campsite.

I originally had a booking at another campsite, but due to the rain, I made a last-minute same-day booking and came here instead. Since I was camping with my dog, I looked for a place that wasn’t too far away, and it only took about an hour to arrive — the accessibility was excellent.
Maybe because it had rained earlier in the day, I had the campsite entirely to myself and could enjoy a completely private experience. The campsite managers were incredibly kind, explaining everything thoroughly and helping me whenever I needed it. There was even a kitchen, which I didn’t expect at all, making it very convenient to wash dishes right away.
The bathrooms were extremely clean, and the showers had strong water pressure with plenty of very hot water — it was honestly amazing. Trash bins were placed throughout the campsite, which made it easy to keep everything clean and tidy. There wasn’t just one toilet or shower; even if other groups had been there, I don’t think it would have felt crowded at all.
I initially thought camping alone might feel scary, but knowing that a staff member was sleeping nearby in a trailer made me feel very safe and reassured.
There are so many good things about this place that I can’t even mention them all. This campsite gave me such a wonderful first camping experience, and it’s a place I’ll definitely return to with my friends!
