This is a great campsite. The entry looks a little steep after you enter the property, but the concrete strips make getting in and out easy - we have a caravan. Paul is a great host. He came round to say hello after we had arrive. Campsites are spacious and pretty level. Great clean toilets and showers. Peaceful with lots of bird life and some friendly sheep and goats visit each morning and afternoon.
Definitely would recommend.

Loved my one night stay at Bare’s Hideaway. Neat spot in a gully, with lots of space. Steep driveway but there were 4wds with caravans and also tent campers with 2wd vehicles. Tracy came around on a quad just after sunset to make sure everyone was greeted and had everything they needed. She also tended to a blocked toilet asap. There are multiple toilets and showers. Water for facilities is trucked in for tanks and should be used thoughtfully. Although enticed by the showers, I didn’t have one due to my short stay and trying to conserve water. Saw a couple of goats pass camp in the nighttime (motion sensor lights) and then a flock of sheep passed in the morning. Was nice to sit with a hot drink and watch the animals wander. Will be back sometime. Thanks Paul and Tracy.

We enjoyed sitting beside the campfire, watching the full moon rise through the trees.
Friendly sheep and goats that like to visit your camp. Owners were friendly and helpful. Super easy check-in and checkout with no set times made for a relaxing stay.

Overall we had a great experience. The hosts were obliging and on top of things. The rustic showers are hot and flushing toilets are rustic but clean. The paddocks are nicely mown. The small transportable private fire pits allow you to camp where you choose. The camp kitchen could do with being more central some how.

Beautiful spot in the countryside just outside of Brisbane, pick your own pitch, very clean facilities including flushing toilets dotted around the property, plenty of fire pits and $15 firewood available when the very welcoming owners come round each evening. We camped in the first open field on the left as you come in, we were a group of 6 adults, had a lovely pitch up against the hedgerow. Plenty of space available, other campers close by but still managed to feel private enough. We enjoyed the animals who mostly kept to themselves other than 2 friendly pigs that were keen to wander through the camp so definitely need to be wary of food/dirty dishes! Already planning our next trip back, and keen to try one of the back paddocks this time for more privacy! For price and close proximity from Brisbane, absolutely could not fault!

Great campground, Paul & Tracey are fantastic host’s dropping by each afternoon with firewood & ice. Plenty of campsites available and most importantly not overcrowded on the first weekend of school holidays. Highly recommend Bares Hideaway as a great quiet & relaxed campground.

I’m Bernal great spot, owners very friendly unfortunately way to close to other campers and I would suggest if you have dogs not to book, I wouldn’t call it pet friendly at all, animals are more than “a bit friendly” the pigs were relentless going though our stuff and setting the dogs off we couldn’t keep them away from the camp. We unfortunately had to pack up and leave after one night because of the pigs. If you’re pet free would highly recommend if you have pets would avoid

Absolutely lovely place.
The owners are super kind and very, very helpful. I am 100% returning to this site.
The animals roam around sometimes which was a fun experience for the kids, but they were not intrusive.
There is plenty of space for large groups too if you are camping with mates. Or if you want to get a bit of piece and quiet, I am sure you can find a secluded spot. Nights do get cold, so pack extra firewood.

We had the most amazing stay here with our toddler and 2 dogs. The hosts are so lovely, and do the rounds each day to see if you need to purchase ice or fire wood. The toilets and shower blocks are plentiful, and close to different sites, so you never have to walk far. The camp kitchen has a sink, oven, stove top, and the amenities are always kept so clean. The pub down the road sells delicious pub meals for takeaway, and the location is not far from Rosewood (10mins) if you need to grab anything. The real highlight was the animals (pigs, goats and sheep). They are very very very curious and friendly, and absolutely will come into your camp site and steal food if its out. They are very used to people and dogs, so they are not scared off easily. But they love pats, so give them plenty. if you dont like animals, or your dogs dont like animals this isn't the place for you, as we sadly witnessed over the weekend with other guests chasing and hurting the animals that encroached on their sites. Other bonuses include the walking tracks and amenities lighting up at night, so you can actually see, and being so close to brisbane/ipswich. We will be back again for sure!

Bares hideaway is brilliant. Very secluded and quiet, surrounded by sheep with the occasional appearance from a pig or two as well
The land is incredibly well maintained and a lot of effort has been put into making it perfect and an ideal spot to camp or caravan.
Paul was brilliant as well, even coming down to bring me some firewood and ice and have a good chat

What an epic place to camp for the price!
Heaps of room, nice flat ground, fire pits, pigs, goats, and a nice local pub.
We just came for a spontaneous weekend camp from Brisbane, but would be keen to return for a bit longer :)

Great camp sites! I loved the farm animals that was a real treat. The location was superb. I had a secluded spot, and was able to listen to the wind , and really unwind. I will definitely return.
