Hold it Flats is a 120 acre property that borders the beautiful O'Connell River that has water all year round. Take a walk around the property to check out some of the creatures that have been built out of scrap metal and bush bars that have been built all around the property. There is nice shady trees, green grass and flat camping sites right beside the river with hot showers and flushing toilets. There is plenty of room and some great tracks for the kids and the big kids to ride their push bikes on. The swimming hole is about 2 meters deep and has big shady trees on the edge. There is also enough room for kids to bring their kayaks and have a paddle along the river. We have some hiking tracks up around the hills of our property that have amazing views of the area. All campsites can be provided with their own fire pit. You just pick your spot and we will bring a portable fire pit to you. Fire wood can be purchased at the property. All rubbish must be taken when you, there are no rubbish bins provided.

Welcome to 'Bares Hideaway', a 43 acre property nestled away from prying eyes in a secluded valley along the Liverpool Ranges in Grandchester. We are a short 1 hr drive from Brisbane and Toowoomba surrounded by acres of bushland. We are a 10 minute drive from Rosewood and Laidley where you will find cafes, supermarkets, fuel and a variety of other things to enjoy. Our lovely campground will accommodate swags, tents, campers, caravans and motorhomes. We provide an extensive camping ground which ensures that you will have a large amount of space to set up comfortably. Flushing toilets and hot showers are provided. We offer you the choice of a standard enclosed private shower or the fun of open air showers. We also have ice for sale. We are happy for you to come and camp on your own or book the entire place if you have an event, large groups are welcome. There is a designated area that can be hired for parties and private functions with marquees available if required. Pets are welcome and must be under control and on a leash as there are farm animals kept on this property. Camp fires are permitted in communal fire areas or at your camp in provided fire drums. There is a limited number of fire drums available, so you are welcome to bring your own. The only exception will be if a local fire ban is activated. We have firewood available for sale, or you can collect free firewood off the ground. You are also welcome to bring your own firewood. No chainsaws allowed. Please note that there is no potable water on site. You must bring your own DRINKING water. During extreme weather events the property can be affected, so if rain is forecast, please call before heading out. Things to do and see: The Grandchester hotel is a short 10min walk away and offers cold drinks, great meals and friendly country hospitality. Spicers Hidden Vale is approximately 6km away and perfect for bike riders. Rosewood train museum showcases steam locomotives and Grandchester scale model rail rides run once a month. Please note: 10 km of this route is gravel road. 4x4 vehicle access is recommended. Option 2: From the Centenary Freeway roundabout, at ripley head 21 km along Ripley Road, which continues and changes name to Undullah Road. This route is 4x4 access is recommended with some narrow bends – please drive to conditions. Welcome to Hectic Valley Farm, tucked away in Mutchilba on the Atherton Tablelands. This is a working farm with a bit of everything — free range chickens, friendly animals, open space, and a slower pace that’s hard to find. We’ve recently refreshed the setup to make your stay more comfortable, including a new shower and toilets for campers, plus a farm shop stocked with fresh eggs and local goodies. We offer simple, rustic bathroom facilities designed to suit the natural farm setting. Guests also have access to our separate rustic shower block, featuring two private “under the stars” shower bays with warm water, corrugated iron country charm, and a peaceful open-air feel that fits perfectly with the farm stay experience. It’s simple, comfortable, and one of our favourite parts of the farm. The setup is off-grid and keeps things low-impact, while still giving you the essentials for a comfortable stay. It’s not a resort, and that’s exactly the point. You’ll get real farm life, fresh air, and plenty of space to unwind. Wake up to animals, wander the property, or just sit back and enjoy the quiet. We’re a great base if you want to explore the Tablelands, or just stay put and switch off for a bit. — Good to know: • 2WD accessible in dry conditions • Pet friendly (must be controlled at all times) • Campfires allowed when conditions permit • Firewood available onsite • Family friendly Farm animal areas are part of our paid tour experience and aren’t included with camping. ABOUT Looking for a quiet, no-frills camping experience? Pointro Campsite offers spacious sites on the scenic banks of Maroon Dam in Queensland. With basic amenities—toilets, hot showers, and firepits—Pointro is perfect for those who want to reconnect with nature. Enjoy fishing, hiking, water sports, or simply relax in the peaceful surroundings. Our bunkhouse sleeps up to 36, ideal for youth camps and group retreats. No distractions. No crowds. Just the essentials—and the beauty of the outdoors. BOOKINGS Please note you cannot book out the entire campground. WATER There is no potable water at any of the sites. Bring your own. CARAVANS * Only 1 caravan per site allowed. BOATS Boat launch locations are available for campers at designated areas within the campsite and to comply with our SEQ Water licence: * No parking within 20 metres of the water. * Vehicles must stay on the designated road and cannot drive down to the boat ramp. * After launching, vehicles and trailers must be parked back up the hill within the Pointro boundary. * Marquees and similar structures must be at least 6 metres from the water’s edge. * Boats may be moored during the day but must be removed overnight. Breaches may result in fines from SEQ Water, which will be passed on to the responsible party. RULES - NO travelling in the back of boats, trailers, jet skis being towed - NO travelling in the in the back of utes. - NO trail bikes. - NO Smoking. - NO excessive noise and no noise after 10pm. - NO parties. - Do Not Empty waste water on the Ground. - Max 1 Caravan per Site - Report any damage, Incidents or Hazards immediately We reserve the right to ask guests to leave the property without refund if you or they fail to follow the rules or provide false or misleading information in their booking. Great for all types of tents, Camper Vans, Caravans and RV's 167 pristine acres of ex-dairy farm, with flat paddocks running along side 1 km of beautiful creek frontage, manicured rolling hills in the back ground that back onto National park. Our farm is very quite with 8 amazing camp site, We have 5 dams, 3 that are great to swim in with kayaking and noddles to float and relax on in the dams, a large pontoon on our main dam, a jetty on another, there are free roaming cattle to camp along side with lots of wild life to enjoy . We have 4 powered sites on Dingo Ridge hill top. We have different locations to camp at and some along side the creek, Platypus Bend, Possum Patch, Froggy Flat, Wallaby Way and Hidden Valley. We have 6 toilets a Hot shower, our water is filtered, but not suitable for drinking, we advise you bring your own drinking water but we do also sell drinking water, insect repellent and mash mellows. NO BYO FIRES But we do supply fire pits and wood $25 1st day (includes: fire pit, fire wood, fire starter and matches) $20 each day after everything included, All guests must take their waste with them on departure, we do have 10c recycling, There are many places that you can visit if you feel like a short drive within 15- 60 min such as Breweries, Wineries, Beaches, Markets, Rock pools and the old famous Mary Rattler Steam Train. There is also many quite and beautiful small towns to visit, or just sit back and enjoy a cup of coffee and the peace and quite. North Gympie, 17min to Mary Valley Rattler train station, 32min to Mothar Mountain Rock Pools, 35min to Tin Can Bay, 50min to Rainbow Beach, 60min to the Sunshine Coast. Get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and have your own spot along side the beautiful running creek and enjoy the peaceful surrounds of nature. Quiet dogs are allowed, must be on leashes at all times and can not roam freely, pet waste must be picked up and taken off site when vacating.
