Hold it Flats is a 120 acre property that borders the beautiful O'Connell River that has water all year round. Take a walk around the property to check out some of the creatures that have been built out of scrap metal and bush bars that have been built all around the property.
There is nice shady trees, green grass and flat camping sites right beside the river with hot showers and flushing toilets. There is plenty of room and some great tracks for the kids and the big kids to ride their push bikes on. The swimming hole is about 2 meters deep and has big shady trees on the edge. There is also enough room for kids to bring their kayaks and have a paddle along the river.
We have some hiking tracks up around the hills of our property that have amazing views of the area.
All campsites can be provided with their own fire pit. You just pick your spot and we will bring a portable fire pit to you. Fire wood can be purchased at the property. All rubbish must be taken when you, there are no rubbish bins provided.

We have 24 spacious sites, a couple lakefront and others among trees or in the open. Lakefront spots can’t be guaranteed — sites are assigned based on group size and setup. If you’re camping with others, please message after booking so we can place you together. Please note we have 2 lakes only one is swimmable the other is weed infested. It’s impossible to keep up with changing environmental factors, photos don’t always represent current conditions.

• Firepits at every site (subject to restrictions)

Our 1 km private driveway is unsealed but fine for 2WD when driven carefully. Please do the assigned speed limits. You can park at your site once set up. For safety, no joyriding or unnecessary driving around the property. Supervise your children at all times.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome under control. We’re surrounded by bushland with ticks, spiders, and snakes — please use tick protection and take normal care.

Welcome to 'Bares Hideaway', a 43 acre property nestled away from prying eyes in a secluded valley along the Liverpool Ranges in Grandchester. We are a short 1 hr drive from Brisbane and Toowoomba surrounded by acres of bushland.
We are a 10 minute drive from Rosewood and Laidley where you will find cafes, supermarkets, fuel and a variety of other things to enjoy.
Our lovely campground will accommodate swags, tents, campers, caravans and motorhomes. We provide an extensive camping ground which ensures that you will have a large amount of space to set up comfortably. Flushing toilets and hot showers are provided. We offer you the choice of a standard enclosed private shower or the fun of open air showers. We also have ice for sale.
We are happy for you to come and camp on your own or book the entire place if you have an event, large groups are welcome. There is a designated area that can be hired for parties and private functions with marquees available if required.
Pets are welcome and must be under control and on a leash as there are farm animals kept on this property.
Camp fires are permitted in communal fire areas or at your camp in provided fire drums. There is a limited number of fire drums available, so you are welcome to bring your own. The only exception will be if a local fire ban is activated. We have firewood available for sale, or you can collect free firewood off the ground. You are also welcome to bring your own firewood. No chainsaws allowed.
Please note that there is no potable water on site. You must bring your own DRINKING water.
During extreme weather events the property can be affected, so if rain is forecast, please call before heading out.
Things to do and see:
The Grandchester hotel is a short 10min walk away and offers cold drinks, great meals and friendly country hospitality.
Spicers Hidden Vale is approximately 6km away and perfect for bike riders.
Rosewood train museum showcases steam locomotives and Grandchester scale model rail rides run once a month.
All sites are unpowered. Generators are welcome between 7am and 9pm.

Our onsite animal family consist of 4 small dogs, 8 mini goats and 4 horses, local birdlife is prolific with abundant lorikeets, wild ducks and the occasional wallaby might drop in the early hours of the morning.
Our property is 1.5 hours drive to Brisbane city, 1 hour to Ipswich, 1.15 hour to Toowoomba, and under 2 hours to the Sunshine Coast.
The Ottaba Llama Farm is 3 minutes north of us too. A great place to visit.

Our site is AWD accessible, however during wet weather the driveway can get flooded.

The 20-acre dam is full at the moment (February /March '26) . Great for kayaking or SUP. Still has some weed for the birds!
On arrival, powered sites, please phone our on-site caretaker Dylan 0488 611 706, and he can assist you to find a spot that suits you and your group. Unpowered sites can choose anywhere suitable for them.
We do have internet reception. Occasionally reception can be weak depending on what the network is doing. Generally, it is not a problem.

How to get to us? We have two ways in .
Option 1:
Via Flagstone onto Bushman Drive – then into Wyatt road follow to the end and turn right onto undullah road follow for 5 ks .
we approximately 14 km from the Flagstone Shopping Centre.
Please note: 10 km of this route is gravel road. 4x4 vehicle access is recommended.
Option 2:
From the Centenary Freeway roundabout, at ripley head 21 km along Ripley Road, which continues and changes name to Undullah Road.
This route is 4x4 access is recommended with some narrow bends – please drive to conditions. We do have 2 wheel drives make the journey !

Welcome to Hectic Valley Farm, tucked away in Mutchilba on the Atherton Tablelands.
This is a working farm with a bit of everything — free range chickens, friendly animals, open space, and a slower pace that’s hard to find.
We’ve recently refreshed the setup to make your stay more comfortable, including a new shower and toilets for campers, plus a farm shop stocked with fresh eggs and local goodies.
We offer simple, rustic bathroom facilities designed to suit the natural farm setting.
Guests also have access to our separate rustic shower block, featuring two private “under the stars” shower bays with warm water, corrugated iron country charm, and a peaceful open-air feel that fits perfectly with the farm stay experience. It’s simple, comfortable, and one of our favourite parts of the farm.
The setup is off-grid and keeps things low-impact, while still giving you the essentials for a comfortable stay.
It’s not a resort, and that’s exactly the point.
You’ll get real farm life, fresh air, and plenty of space to unwind.
Wake up to animals, wander the property, or just sit back and enjoy the quiet.
We’re a great base if you want to explore the Tablelands, or just stay put and switch off for a bit.

ABOUT
Looking for a quiet, no-frills camping experience? Pointro Campsite offers spacious sites on the scenic banks of Maroon Dam in Queensland. With basic amenities—toilets, hot showers, and firepits—Pointro is perfect for those who want to reconnect with nature.
Enjoy fishing, hiking, water sports, or simply relax in the peaceful surroundings. Our bunkhouse sleeps up to 36, ideal for youth camps and group retreats.
No distractions. No crowds. Just the essentials—and the beauty of the outdoors.
BOOKINGS
Please note you cannot book out the entire campground.
WATER
There is no potable water at any of the sites. Bring your own.
CARAVANS
* Only 1 caravan per site allowed.
BOATS
Boat launch locations are available for campers at designated areas within the campsite and to comply with our SEQ Water licence:
* No parking within 20 metres of the water.
* Vehicles must stay on the designated road and cannot drive down to the boat ramp.
* After launching, vehicles and trailers must be parked back up the hill within the Pointro boundary.
* Marquees and similar structures must be at least 6 metres from the water’s edge.
* Boats may be moored during the day but must be removed overnight.
Breaches may result in fines from SEQ Water, which will be passed on to the responsible party.
RULES
- NO travelling in the back of boats, trailers, jet skis being towed
- NO travelling in the in the back of utes.
- NO trail bikes.
- NO Smoking.
- NO excessive noise and no noise after 10pm.
- NO parties.
- Do Not Empty waste water on the Ground.
- Max 1 Caravan per Site
- Report any damage, Incidents or Hazards immediately

167 pristine acres of ex-dairy farm, with flat paddocks running along side 1 km of beautiful creek frontage, manicured rolling hills in the back ground that back onto National park.
Our farm is very quite with 8 amazing camp site, We have 5 dams, 3 that are great to swim in with kayaking and noddles to float and relax on in the dams, a large pontoon on our main dam, a jetty on another, there are free roaming cattle to camp along side with lots of wild life to enjoy .
We have 4 powered sites on Dingo Ridge hill top.
We have different locations to camp at and some along side the creek, Platypus Bend, Possum Patch, Froggy Flat, Wallaby Way and Hidden Valley.
We have 6 toilets a Hot shower, our water is filtered, but not suitable for drinking, we advise you bring your own drinking water but we do also sell drinking water, insect repellent and mash mellows.
NO BYO FIRES But we do supply fire pits and wood
$25 1st day (includes: fire pit, fire wood, fire starter and matches)
$20 each day after everything included,
All guests must take their waste with them on departure, we do have 10c recycling,
There are many places that you can visit if you feel like a short drive within 15- 60 min such as Breweries, Wineries, Beaches, Markets, Rock pools and the old famous Mary Rattler Steam Train. There is also many quite and beautiful small towns to visit, or just sit back and enjoy a cup of coffee and the peace and quite.

35min to Tin Can Bay,
50min to Rainbow Beach,
60min to the Sunshine Coast.
Get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and have your own spot along side the beautiful running creek and enjoy the peaceful surrounds of nature.
Quiet dogs are allowed, must be on leashes at all times and can not roam freely, pet waste must be picked up and taken off site when vacating.

Warren camp site was clean , mowed and well prepared for a range of vehicles no matter the size. While his toilets and showers are basic they were presented clean and functional. The sites was set up to avoid overcrowding creating a more relaxed atmosphere for everyone

Really nice spot just a short drive from town.
It was perfect campfire weather while we were there, but would be great in the warmer months with a dam for swimming and kayaks available.
Definitely recommend staying here.

Loved our 2 days we spent there in our caravan.
We were made to feel so welcome the whole time we were there.
LOVED SEEING AND FEEDING ALL THE ANIMALS .GOOSE THE BABY GOAT WAS MY FAVOURITE, OMG SO SO CUTE.
Bought some delicious true free range eggs.Yummmmm.
Please go and checkout this amazing farm and support them as feeding all those animals are not cheap.They also take in rescue animals too.
Learnt so much about the different types of eggs and chickens etc.
Thankyou for treating us like family.

What an awesome place to stay! Horses, donkeys, goats, roosters, chooks, geese, ducks, camels, all ambling through the campsite, often stopping to say hello. I was lucky enough to see a five day old white donkey doing zoomies. Sunsets were beautiful and the night sky carpeted by stars was breathtaking. Callan was very friendly and helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and definitely recommend to anyone who loves nature.

Had a great time. Lots of spots to camp, it was private and the dams were really nice. There were kayaks and SUP around the dam that you can use!
Portaloos and a shower are available.
Firewood is available for $25 for first night and $20 after that.

Fantastic spot! We loved our stay at the farm stay. Incredible view of the ocean from our site and sunrise in the morning. Heaps of space for the kids to play and absolutely they loved the sandpit and trampoline. Highly recommend! Will definitely be back.

We had a chill, peaceful time here. Property/ amenities were very clean and well taken care of. Tracy is so lovely to pop down and say hi and gave us some wood.
Many families stayed so seemed like a popular spot for fam - if you want some absolute quite, this may not be the one. Very accessible, would rec for beginners/ quick/ easy trip :)

We've been here a couple of times now, it's fast becoming one of our favourite places to camp! Very easy, relaxed place to camp, rustic but clean facilities that work well, and lots of room for kids to run around. Added bonus are the friendly goats and pigs roaming around.

We had a lovely stay at Bares Hideaway. This was our second visit and again it didn't disappoint. This time we brought along friends who also loved it. The facilities are clean and close but the space is nice and spread out so you don't feel like any other campers are nearby. It's a great balance of convenience and seclusion! The kids enjoyed seeing the pigs this time, and the baby lambs were too cute.
