We are located in the '14 river crossings' Cambanoora Gorge, just 2.5 hrs from Brisbane and the Gold Coast. This 1500 acre working cattle and horse property offers a variety of completely private, riverside campsites. * 4WD access only. Suitable for fully self-contained camper trailers, and high clearance, four-wheel-drive camping outfits.  * Note Campers must be self-contained and bring their own camping toilet. (No holes in the ground, must be a chemical toilet where you take your waste with you). * We are dog-friendly but they must be cattle, horse and wildlife-friendly. You can BYO horse for $12 per horse per day, and keep it in our secure yards. You are welcome to explore the Cambanoora Gorge (it's part of the national trail) and/or our property on your horse. Scenic spot in our river flat paddock, fronting a good swimming spot at the junction of the Condamine and Blackfellas Gully.  Space for all the family and a few friends. Great views of the escarpment and cliff lines which throw magical colours on sunset. Keep an eye out for the platypus as well. Central fire pit for a campfire (subject to fire bans)

This site is ideal for large group bookings. It has spectacular views into the gorge and of the cliffs and is located on the riverbank, it offers a few swimming spots, on the fringe of a cultivation paddock. An old combine provides a good fire pit seat and an antique plough shows how the paddock used to be worked up and seeded. A lovely riverside Pepperina tree provides a shady spot for a picnic or sundowner.

Located on a flat shelf in our river flat paddock, this pretty site is named after the beautiful tall yellowjacket trees that provide shade for cattle. It fronts a nice swimming hole that is also home to platypus between the site and our historic cattle yards. Like most of our sites, it has lovely escarpment views. Access requires a four-wheel-drive vehicle and a high clearance camper trailer. Note: we have a leave no trace policy, so campers MUST bring their own camping toilet.

This site is easily accessed from Condamine River Road by all vehicle types. It is excellent for larger groups and has power, water, a toilet and a hot shower. The gently sloping site has a beautifully manicured lawn and garden area with shade trees and a concrete slab to use for an annexe or sit around a fire drum. There is a generous-sized horse paddock, perfect for horse enthusiasts to bring their horse and trail ride on our property or through Cambanoora Gorge (Liability Waiver to be signed). It has excellent views of the surrounding valley and cliff lines and is only a short walk to the river. Note: we have a leave-no-trace policy, so campers MUST take their rubbish with them.

This site is easily accessed from Condamine River Road by all vehicle types. It is where the original homestead of over 140 years was located. Beautiful manicured lawn and garden area with shade trees. An ideal site for those who are not self-contained as it has its own toilet/shower and power. There is a generous sized horse paddock as well as yard and so it is perfect for horse enthusiasts to bring their own horse and trail ride either on our property or through Cambanoora Gorge (Liability Waiver to be signed). It has great views of the surrounding valley and cliff lines and is only a short walk to the river. It's large enough for a few families to share. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Wynola Country Cousins. From the moment we arrived, it felt like we’d found a hidden gem. The riverside campsite was peaceful, spacious and beautifully maintained, making it the perfect base for our family adventure. Our kids loved exploring the river, skipping stones, spotting wildlife and simply having the freedom to be outdoors. Evenings around the campfire under a sky full of stars were a real highlight, and it was exactly the break from busy everyday life that we were hoping for. The location was perfect for exploring the area, with Queen Mary Falls and the Condamine River Road only a short drive away. It was the ideal mix of adventure during the day and relaxing by the river in the afternoons. If you’re looking for a quiet, family-friendly place to unwind and reconnect with nature, we couldn’t recommend Wynola Country Cousins highly enough. We’ll definitely be back for another expedition!

What a great campsite and amazing hosts. Bernie was a great communicator, answered our additional questions and prepared a beautiful site. We camped at the Junction site and had it to ourselves. It's a beautiful grassed site right next to the river.

We stayed at Dolly's View and were very impressed. The site is well kept and has 2 levelled areas and a large fire. The river was a short walk. It was so peaceful with lots of birdlife. Awesome location to explore the condamine gorge. Host were very welcoming. Will be back to stay again!

My second time to Bernie & Jo's beautiful property and definitely won't be the last! We enjoyed The Cave and its my pick so far. The site is very secluded and private. Plenty of room and great river frontage. Can't wait to come back!

This is a beautiful piece of the world and we love it every time we spend some time there. It’s the perfect place to unwind, go for a stroll, enjoy the birdlife, platypus and wallabies the venture past. Bernie and Jo are great hosts who look after us and their directions to sites are fabulous. 11/10. Even when it rains.

Longs Crossing made for a wonderful weekend away, listening to the babbling brook run looking up at stars around a roaring fire was just what we needed. You can see the house across the way and hear cars heading across the track and the next camp, although it was completely private and none of these made the campsite any less magical. We found Platypus spotting was best at nightfall at the bottom of the rocks and got quite a few sightings during the mornings too. This was a bit pricey compared to others in the region and not sure it was really worth it, made more questionable considering we paid $40 for 1 bag of firewood and then found it for $10 just up the road. The instructions to the campsite were very detailed and was a quick trip into town for those small bits and pieces you may need.

The cave campsite is a one of a kind. This was our second time back. Very decent paddock to set up in and for the dogs to run around in. Flat ground with a creek 20 or so metres away from site. Beautiful views, beautiful creek spot, wedge tail eagles frequently fly over. 10/10 Bernie and Jo with their working dogs are absolute legends. Will recommend to anyone. Thanks again guys.

This Hipcamp was amazing! We loved it from when we booked to leaving. Bernie had great communication and was easy as to book. We booked the Junction site, it was so peaceful, mowed and ready with a huge fire pit … SO NICE and GREEN even water in the Condamine River!

We stayed in The Cave at Wynola Country Cousins and it was exactly what we needed. The views were absolutely beautiful and the peacefulness of the property made it the perfect place to switch off and recharge. Bernie was a wonderful host, super helpful and great with communication throughout our stay. It's always the little things that make a big difference, and having a host who is so attentive really added to the experience. We'll absolutely be back. Highly recommend The Cave to anyone looking for a quiet getaway with incredible scenery!

Such a massive space to setup camp for a couple of days. Bernie gave us excellent directions and our firewood was waiting by the fire pit, ready for our arrival. 4wd comes in handy, but it certainly adds to the fun of the place. Close to Queen Mary Falls, it’s a beautiful place to base yourself and explore the surrounding towns and Falls.

The campsite was wonderful with shade trees, friendly horses and beautiful views in all directions. The bathroom and shower were lovely and much appreciated after a long drive. Unfortunately the river levels were low so not suitable for more than a splash about, but not in the owner’s control. Communication from Bernie was excellent. Many thanks for having us!

Wynola Country Cousins The Junction
We stayed overnight at The Junction and loved it. The site was large, flat, mowed, and tucked into a corner which meant it felt cosy and was very private. Plenty of visibility and a great distance before the next campsite. We loved that there was such a large area that we could go for a little walk often and not interrupt or intrude on the next camp site (which is a good distance away). It was by a small river which was nice to look at.
