The Woodenbong Driveway offers 24 hour fuel, news agency and stationery supplies. The property is locates approximately 2.5 hours SW of Brisbane.

'Aroona' is an aboriginal word meaning "place of refreshing" or "place of running water" which represents this beautiful property well with its natural springs that open up out of the mountain, into a 'forest-like' section of the property and runs into the gully. We also have Acacia Creek that runs through the front which is the head of the Clarence River. Feel free to have a splash in the refreshing water with a couple of swimming holes. Explore our property on foot with many beautiful places to see, and animals (cattle and horses) to watch and pat. We have a hilltop area where you can view the sunrise from the east and the sunset in the west, with absolutely no light pollution. On a clear night, the galaxy is astounding to view. The property has multiple areas of creek frontage with both kid and adult-friendly swimming areas. Amaroo also known to some long time visitors as Snake Valley, is situated on a massive property and backs onto the Toonumbar National park. The property sits at the top of a 2.7km dirt road to the top of a small mountain with incredible views of Mount Lindsay and Mount Barney. The owner (my dad) has spent over 30 years bringing the land back from blade glass to the early stages of rainforest through native seed propagation and bush regeneration. After decades of keeping the land free from domestic and commercial animals, the native wildlife has had come back in abundance and is thriving. Depending on the time of year you could see any number of wallabies, goannas, and echidnas, to countless varieties of birds and butterflies, small marsupials, koalas, micro bats, snakes, and even a few lone dingoes have been spotted from a distance during duck breeding season. Therefore we don’t allow dogs or cats to be brought onto the property. Pitch your tent, or pull up your situation either on level gravel or in a grassy zone however close or far from the communal zone as you wish. The communal zone is made up of a shack with a kitchen sink and a BBQ (BYO BBQ gas or you will need to request as an extra), there is tank water and lights all running off solar, a big long bench table and stools for preparing food, underneath the pagola of this open shack is an indoor fireplace. 50m from the shack connected by gravel paths and garden beds is the hot gas shower and composting toilet, each in their own enclosed dwellings with lights. From the shack and where you camp you will have the best views of the mountains. You will be 100m-ish from the top main dam where you can swim (we just ask that you don’t remove the fish, yabbies or turtles from their homes). The level below the shack is the main house where the property owner lives, and the level below that is the motocross tracks. There are walking and bike paths down to the motocross tracks that avoid going past the main house, if you are riding or just want to go for a walk. PLS NOTE you may be around other people during your stay at Amaroo. There is a small community of motorcross riders that access the private tracks and sometimes camp. If you wish to have the campsite to yourself please msg us before booking to make sure it will be exclusive. Most of the time this property is peaceful and filled with noises of birds and tree breeze, but there are occasions where the tracks will be in use. Motorbikes can get noisy!

Lucky’s Ridge is a 120acres property of bush, heavily timbered with straight eucalyptus, situated north NSW, near Tabulam, at the foot of great dividing range. It’s subtropical (summer rain, dry winter usually, no frost). The primitive campgrounds have two compost toilets and two wood fired hot showers. Camp kitchen has a wood stove/oven, kitchen sink and benches (no fridge). All water taps are on rain water. There is a herb/veggies garden guest are welcome to pick from. Please be aware that there is only 12v power available (usb charging station), and Telstra reception is there but just and Optus is patchy. I have friendly dairy goats, sheep, cows, pigs and horses roaming on the property, maintaining the grass short and fertilised (watch for the poop!), and chickens, duck and rabbits, all mostly free range in the Permaculture garden and orchards near the house. I'm into homesteading, and I grow and raise (and butcher) most of my food. I enjoy sharing my land and experience with others, so I’ve recently had a primitive campground approved and open. It was mostly to host seasonal self reliant backpackers coming to pick blueberries at Mountain Blue, so it offers a bit more than just a place to camp, but it stays rather rustic. I’m also keen to host people interested in off grid living and sustainability or whoever wants to come and camp in this quiet, not crowded at all part of the bush. Hipcampers please be aware that from August til December, backpackers may be living at the campgrounds. If you are interested in a garden tour, feeding the animals, milking the goats and/or pony rides, please let me know in advance. We also have some mountain bike trails (jumps, etc) for keen riders (work in progress).

Amaroo also known to some long time visitors as Snake Valley, is situated on a massive property and backs onto the Toonumbar National park. The property sits at the top of a 2.7km dirt road to the top of a small mountain with incredible views of Mount Lindsay and Mount Barney. The owner (my dad) has spent over 30 years bringing the land back from blade glass to the early stages of rainforest through native seed propagation and bush regeneration. After decades of keeping the land free from domestic and commercial animals, the native wildlife has had come back in abundance and is thriving. Depending on the time of year you could see any number of wallabies, goannas, and echidnas, to countless varieties of birds and butterflies, small marsupials, koalas, micro bats, snakes, and even a few lone dingoes have been spotted from a distance during duck breeding season. Therefore we don’t allow dogs or cats to be brought onto the property. Pitch your tent, or pull up your situation either on level gravel or in a grassy zone however close or far from the communal zone as you wish. The communal zone is made up of a shack with a kitchen sink and a BBQ (BYO BBQ gas or you will need to request as an extra), there is tank water and lights all running off solar, a big long bench table and stools for preparing food, underneath the pagola of this open shack is an indoor fireplace. 50m from the shack connected by gravel paths and garden beds is the hot gas shower and composting toilet, each in their own enclosed dwellings with lights. From the shack and where you camp you will have the best views of the mountains. You will be 100m-ish from the top main dam where you can swim (we just ask that you don’t remove the fish, yabbies or turtles from their homes). The level below the shack is the main house where the property owner lives, and the level below that is the motocross tracks. There are walking and bike paths down to the motocross tracks that avoid going past the main house, if you are riding or just want to go for a walk. PLS NOTE you may be around other people during your stay at Amaroo. There is a small community of motorcross riders that access the private tracks and sometimes camp. If you wish to have the campsite to yourself please msg us before booking to make sure it will be exclusive. Most of the time this property is peaceful and filled with noises of birds and tree breeze, but there are occasions where the tracks will be in use. Motorbikes can get noisy!

Thanks to Steve and Sharon for having us. We had a lovely time and enjoyed the whole property to ourselves. Amenities were kept clean and tidy, all surrounded by the natural beauty. Campsites were all very well kept and additional ice bricks and deep freezer provided to help keep food cool in what was very warm weather. We were also able to read about the history of this beautiful place and the journey of the family who have occupied it for decades. They have been through flood and fire and are so resilient. It is obvious why they love this place so much. If you are planing to make the trip out to this beautiful property with a 2wd be mindful that the road is uneven in places and you should only make the journey if you feel confident in your vehicle. Steve and Sharon were kind enough to escort us out of the property when we left.

The site is very well maintained, very tranquil with the tree, wildlife and sound of running water through the place. Was good to do a little explore/walk of the creek and just relax under the stars. Shayne was very helpful with directions for us to get there and super accomodating. Not too long a drive out but felt like we were way out in the bush, no service and switched off for the stay. Was a lovely location with plenty of natural shade to utilise too. Will be back for sure :)

Highly recommend this wonderful place to relax and unwind. Shayne was very friendly and helpful and recommended a site to set up. It was great to hear all about the farm and his friendly animals. We chose a site overlooking the creek with easy access for the dogs and ourselves to enjoy the water as the weather was very hot. Loved that the camping area is limited to 10 sites and we were lucky the be sharing with only one other couple. There was a little bit of street noise during the day but this did not distract from the sound of the running creek and abundant bird calls. Thank you for sharing Bindarah Fark with us. We will definitely be back soon.

We stayed at Lake View, nice and quiet and a lovely view. Heaps of wildlife, wallabies, goanna, King parrots, finches, tree frogs and the list goes on. The host is very nice and friendly. Amenities are clean with hot showers. The kids had a ball boating, fishing and swimming. We will be back.

Absolutely beautiful spot. Facilities were pristine and the owners are incredibly friendly and helpful. The firewood was generous and there’s a chopping block next to the stack (byo axe). There was no reception in most of the property which is a plus to me, but if you need to contact the outside world the owners have starlink for emergencys and there’s a spot on the hill above Fingers Rocks (all the way up the next hill before the fork in the road) that has amazing reception if you can make the trek. The cows are gorgeous and so curious but won’t get within 3 or 4 metres of you or any gear. Fingers rocks is a perfect spot to cool off and relax at. I’d definitely come back with a bigger group. The only things I’d change are when I went (Very hot and humid with a few good storms) and how many people I had with me. I’d recommend going on the warmer side of spring and autumn or the cooler sides of summer. Definitely bring entertainment if you’re staying for more than a few days. The 4wd tracks and river kept me and the Mrs entertained all week but if we were around longer, the lack of things to do around the area may have gotten to us. Over all a great place to spend a week and I will definitely be back.

We had an absolutely lovely stay at Wynola! We started out at Long Crossing, but, thanks to the kindness of Bernie, changed to Silky Oak (the road was just a little too close for our personal preference at Long Crossing). Silky Oak was a beautiful campsite! Wildflowers everywhere and the river so close. Very green and peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back! Thanks Bernie and Jo.

Great little spot. Plenty of room at site 1 for an off road caravan roof top tent and swags for the kids. With room to spare. Plenty of fire wood around with a nice pile left for us on arrival. Short walk down the bank to a nice sallow spot for the smaller kids to swim or a short walk up stream for a bit deeper water. Heaps of wild life to see. Only a short drive back onto Warwick for when you inevitably forget to pack something. Will definitely be back again.
