335 acres of undulating rainforest and eucalyptus forest bordering the Condamine River within the Cambanoora Gorge. 4WD access required. The property has a huge array of wildlife species including the beautiful and rarely seen platypus and lyre bird. We prefer campers to have their own amenities and leave no trace, however, I am building a toilet block. if you do not have your own (please BYO toilet paper). Dog friendly. I welcome people to visit my art studio by donation. I've been sculpting for over 25 years specialising in extinct animals including taxidermy of some of Australia's rarest marsupials. Camps have 1000m of river frontage (access through the gate or fence) flanked by beautiful hoop pine trees and river oaks. Toilets facilities are under construction. Beautiful location. The camps along the river are stunning for the sound and river vibes. Or if you like a stunning view and sunrise the hilltop camp up on its own area is always our choice. Paul is absolutely lovely to talk to and easy to deal with. His dog might even stop in to say hello when you arrive which is always a pleasant thing to see. Highly recommend Paul and all his camp spots !

I loved my peaceful stay with beautiful views everywhere, Paul and his wife were very welcoming, don't forget to have a quick look at his creative work in his private shed. I will look forward to visit again this place.

Host was good, location was good BUT not happy with the barbed wire fence stopping us from going down to the creek, ( not how it looked on the page really) really took away from the experience. cows around the camp site not ideal. also we were required to buy firewood from host at a cost and it was shit, wet and didn't burn very well. wouldn't camp there again

Site 4 of Booyong camping was amazing! Being set back from the road, it was very private. The sounds of the running creek and birdlife made for a very relaxing atmosphere. It was nice watching the cows and seeing them drink from the creek. Thank you Paul for a memorable camping trip!

Site 4 was perfect tight down the end of the paddock right on the river. Beautiful spot for a few days. Paul was very knowledgeable regarding the local area and things to do.

Site 2 - Booyong, Orchard Paddock
This was a great little spot, nice quiet grassed area right next to the river, excellent view with lots of colourful birds here and some citrus trees next to the campsite so we ate some of the grapefruit! But the highlight was, we took the offer of Pauls's shuttle service to take us and our bikes up the mountainside and then rode all the way down and then through Killarney, back to our campsite, it was an amazing experience, with fantastic views of the Great Dividing Range and the West! It takes about 1.5 hrs.Very well recommended.

Hill top paddock
We loved our stay at Booyong, beautiful property and views from our campsite, and perfect spot for doing some Astro photography. Paul showed us around the property, and we fed the baby cows 😍 He also has some interesting artwork to see in his studio. Campsites are large and very spread out, with the cows visiting regularly. Doggos had a great time too. We will definitely be back for another visit. Highly recommend.

Megs and I absolutely loved the place--it was beautiful and Paul was a gracious and helpful host. We were a little taken aback by one racist comment Paul made. But he immediately noticed our discomfort and became more gracious after that. Paul even gave us a lovely pumkin to eat which we roasted and really enjoyed, AND there was a grapefruit tree on the property Paul told us about full of the most delcious grapefruit. thanks so much for everything

We had an amazing stay at Booyong Camping and will definitely be back. The property is absolutely awesome, with spacious campsites right on the beautiful Condamine River. It was peaceful, private, and the perfect place to unwind. Paul was a fantastic host friendly, welcoming, and happy to share his knowledge of the area. The campsites are well spaced, making it feel like you have your own slice of nature. If you're looking for a quiet escape with incredible scenery, river access, and a genuine bush camping experience, I couldn't recommend Booyong Camping highly enough. Just be prepared with a 4WD for river crossings, which is well worth it once you arrive. Five stars!

We felt completely at ease staying at Paul’s property beside the Condamine River. Surrounded by nature, we loved listening to the bell birds, whip birds, and the gentle sound of the river flowing over the rocks. Having the camping area mostly to ourselves made the experience even more relaxing and special. This is a wonderful place to unwind, reconnect with nature, and enjoy the Australian wildlife. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for peace and quiet away from a busy life. Thank you, Paul.

What a great spot. Creek was running, site was clean and good distance from other campers. Paul was great and offers some extra features in your stay. Private hiking trails through his property which were great. Plenty of sun for solar and about as level ground as you will find. Will definitely be back

Hill top paddock
A massive thank you to Paul for sharing his absolutely spectacular property with us. We feel very lucky to have stayed at the Hill Top Site. The views were simply amazing and the walking tracks revealed such diverse bush and bird life. Our boys had a ball riding their bikes and playing with Paul’s dog Dobby. We will definitely be back.

We enjoyed our night at Site 3 in some very ordinary weather. Paul was helpful and suggested a walk up the hill along well formed tracks. Saw heaps of birds (including fairy wrens and finches), wallabies, potaroos.
