Beautiful spot by the river Paul was super nice and came down and guided us thu the river as was a bit higher then i liked with all this rain..
If you are a bird lover the different types every morning was just so peaceful. Such a beautiful spot the star by the fire perfect

We stayed 3 nights and loved every minute. The hilltop paddock campsite had beautiful views and plenty of space. We had fires each night and watching the full moon rise over the gorge cliffs was unforgettable. Access from Killarney was no issue in our 4WD and offroad van, even with four flowing river crossings.
Booyong is a peaceful, private base to explore the region with access to cQueen Mary Falls, Main Range, Teviot Falls, Tooloom Falls and Sunday Plains. Paul was a lovely host and the property is a real gem!

Hill top paddock
Second time camping at booyong.....love every minute of even with all the rain that we got...very peaceful and the view was amazing...... definitely recommend and will definitely go back for sure

Cow manure littered camp site

Camp site littered with fresh cow pats. We couldn’t find a reasonable area to pitch our tent within a 15m radius of our site. We don’t mind roughing it, but sleeping between cow shit is unacceptable. Tried to contact the host multiple times to try and resolve but there was radio silence.

Amazing location and well spaced out, private campsites. Heaps of birds around and the creek was lovely for a swim. Really nice to have firewood waiting at the site on arrival.
Only negative was the amount of cow dung around the site. To be expected in a farm paddock…but it’s also not a cheap site at $50 + a night.

Absolutely beautiful spot. The river is picture perfect and sounds so nice babbling away. Our camp site was bliss. Couldn’t be anymore perfect. Paul is helping and welcoming. Very close to Killarney and the waterfalls. 100% recommend!

This is such a beautiful spot to stop and enjoy nature at its finest. Paul was very accommodating and has a beautiful well maintained property.
The campsites are very well spaced out unlike the caravan park nearby. We towed a 22 foot off-road caravan into the site without any issues. Highly recommend.

Beautiful campsites on the river in a picturesque region. Campsite are extremely generous and very well spaced out.
Fantastic views of the ranges in the background and the variety of birdlife, just wonderful. Unfortunately no platypus.
Paul was a gentleman and also helped recover a battery issue in our van.
Thanks Paul, we will be back!

Nestled beside a gently babbling creek, this campsite offers the perfect escape. Waking up to the sounds of nature and the promise of spotting local wildlife was amazing. The designated fire pits made for cozy evenings under the stars and crisp morning warmth. A perfect spot to reconnect with nature and recharge!

Paul was super helpful and went above and beyond. The site was better than we could have hoped and the kids and family dog had a great time! Absolutely would recommend! Heaps to explore and all stretches of the creek were beautiful! Will be going back again! Beautiful views in a beautiful part of the country!

Such a lovely campsite, spaced out well, creek/river is lovely to cool down in, peaceful, lots of birds & butterflies, but the star was watching the platypus frolic. Definitely recommend Booyong & hopefully I’ll see inside Paul’s art studio next time.

Thanks, Paul, for the hospitality. Lovely level, green but tidily slashed site with direct river access through a gate. We very much enjoyed the peace and quiet and sitting in the cool gushing river. We need a longer stay next time to explore the area a bit!

Paul is a great bloke shows you how to get bait tells you your options on the travels, brings you fire wood. I'd recommend him and his camping spot. Cheers Paul sorry I didn't come up and say goodbye but we will back in the near future.

Great place to camp. Was quiet (apart from the cows 😀 ), private and relaxing. Paul was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed. We stayed at site 4 right on the rivers edge. We'll be back for sure!!

I’ve come here once before when the weather was perfect and had no dramas. In regular weather, crossings are low, easy, and fun. Campsites are beautiful anywhere on the property with amazing views.
Paul is a great guy. Unfortunate weather when we came down spoiled the trip somewhat but I can’t blame that on the host. He was very accomodating. Rivers were up when we left (nearly a metre) so had a fun time navigating that !! If you plan to come during severe rains, have a serious 4wd (Land Cruiser, patrol, or something with big lift) or huge balls (like me in my little triton).

This camping area was beautiful.
Heaps of room between campers and almost every site is on the river and such a beautiful river.
The host, Paul, was fantastic. Very helpful, attentive and accommodating.
We had a bonus of having a spotted big platypus right near our site.

We absolutely loved the camp site, the veiw was sensational 👏 camps are far away from each other, Paul the host is very hard working to make sure you have fire wood and great to have a chat with to hear about the area, he told us how to excess the top end of his property and wow what a view. Would highly recommend. Feels like you are in the middle of no where but if in need town is just down the road with great history and friendly locals.

We loved tent camping at lot 3 Pine Paddock Booyong Camping. A flat grassed site with water views. Other camp sites were about 100 metres away which provided us with the privacy we were looking for.
Our host, Paul gave us heaps of helpful information on the surrounding area. It is a serene spot with cattle across the creek. The water in the creek was very refreshing and we saw a few kids kayaking.
The 4wd road to the camping spot has quite a few water crossing .
Which were easy enough with my Prado. Condamine Creek Rd. Was trafficable all the way through. Despite Google maps marking it a road closed. It may close in the wet season but in October all creek crossings were able to be crossed in 4WD and fun driving.
There is please of flat area in the Paddock for kids to run around and play safely..
Thanks Paul. Your firewood was just the thing to take the chill from the evening air.

We camped at site 3 in the open paddock woth easy access to the river. The dogs loved swimming in the creek and there was plenty of room. We had a 40ft bus and 2 caravans. Paul the host is a great guy and delivered firewood for us to purchase each afternoon. We also got a tour of his studio where he makes just about anything. Will definitely be back

What an absolute piece of paradise. Hubby and I needed to get away and unwind and this was the place to do it. We camped at site 1 Pine Paddock next to the river and it was beautiful. Was great to sit back with a drink in hand and relax listening to the creek run and watching the cows. Looking forward to going back soon.
