You'll need to Arrive Before Dark to be directed. Really, you do.
Creek-sites suit experienced, self-contained campers (with 4wd) that like a bit of space. & know how to deal with their own shit. Literally.
Season Update: We're now in 4wd-only season. If you have 2wd, it may be possible, but have to check with me first.

Camping (especially creek sites) is weather-dependent - not accessible in extended periods of rain (by 4wd, or otherwise) - but who wants to camp in the rain anyway?

It's a farm. Not a centralized campground offering full-amenities or caravan access.

Shuttlebus available to our wonderful hippy village. There are curiosity shops with very different stuff, and a smoking culture. There is nowhere else anything like it. You can do Nimbin in a day. If you have time to relax and unwind, you can do it over two days, and enjoy the restaurants and cafes. I have local knowledge. There are lookouts with spectacular views. Here there's unusual fruit trees, a trampoline, and a basketball court if you want to shoot a few hoops, weights equipment, and a martial arts dojo if you are curious about learning some self defence.
There's a flat parking area for RV's and tents. It's a relatively small space - not an acre of grass. So it's a semi social area, and it's possible to interact and relax in the undercover area.
There's a fire place at night, and a Babakiuaera where you can get Wifi and play cards.
I'm a qualified driving instructor, so i know about vehicles and safe driving practices.
some folks love it here and come back. It's a relatively small space, not suitable for everyone.

Located at The Channon, we are not far from the well known towns of Nimbin and Lismore (both 20kms away but in different directions) and Byron Bay which is 40km away.
Our property is an easy walking distance to the local village where you will find the shop/ general store and the pub is dog friendly. It's around 1km to The Channon Craft Market grounds, and the markets are on the second Sunday of each month. Lots of crafts, clothes, jewellery, gifts, food stalls and entertainers to see and enjoy.
This campsite is located right on the banks of the flowing creek. It's a private site with access to two good swimming holes. Enjoy warming your feet around the campfire in the evenings, subject to fireban conditions.
We welcome only self-contained campers who bring their own camping shower and drinking water. There is access to rubbish facilities.
For those wanting to explore a bit further we are 15kms from Nightcap National Park and the beautiful Protesters Falls. There is a walking track that leads through lush World Heritage rainforest right up to the falls.

Important information: Linen not provided. In each dome there is a queen and king single bed. All linen needs to be bought with you. Pillows, towels, doona, bed linen & t towel
PLEASE NOTE: This is not a "glamping" experience so insects and nature is a part of the experience. The dome tents are set on a concrete slab which is regularly sprayed however insects will still be around as the tents are set in the middle of the paddock so please be mindful of this.
This property uses Solar Power (not connected to the grid) so please be aware of energy usage. All lights and general appliances are low energy and remain suitable for use over an extended sunless/cloudy period. If you drain the solar you will lose power and hot water.
There are 2 portable fans inside the domes for hot days. To reduce the impact on hot days the small dome has a rooftop curtain that should remain closed along with the front window curtains to keep the domes cooler.
You are welcome to explore the property. We do not recommend walking through long grass on the property without protective footwear as snakes are known to live in the area. We agiste cattle so you do need to close the cattle gates behind you.
Please be aware the driveway to the domes is not sealed. It is a gravel driveway.
In the rain it may be slippery. If your car is not suitable for gravel inclines park at the top of the driveway.
There is a house on the acreage. During your stay no one will occupy the house. You have exclusive use of the property.

If you like an adventure then this mountain is for you. 2 sites called "Top of the world tent site 1 and tent site 2" are accessible by 4WD (tent camping is advised) There is a steep 19 degree road up to the penthouse summit thats at 1000ft. However if it is dry you can tow a small camping trailer but only if you have a winch. If it rains while up there you need to ring me before descending down the mountain. It's an adventure.
Campers are welcome to have a campfire, there is plenty of timber on the ground that you can collect or bring your own. As long as there is no fire ban.
There are some great bush walks you can enjoy, including down to the creek (about a 40 min walk) and down to a huge dam 5 mins walk away from the top. When you get to the creek it is picturesque with lemon trees and peach trees along the edge while in season plus bush figs also when in season. There are 2 sites down at the creek called Firefly's and platypus and these are for off road self contained
4x4 campers and those with a tent. The creek is pristine and crystal clear unless it's raining. These 2 sites are absolutely private if you book them both. If you don't mind sharing the creek with another camper then you only need to book 1 site.
There is also a concrete floor shelter that can have 2-3 hammocks stretched underneath if desired.
There is also a 10 month of the year 30 metre high waterfall
(depending on rain fall this waterfall can vary from massive water to slow water) and another seasonal waterfall. Don't forget the dam for swimming in. The spa tub has fresh mountain spring water constantly flowing into it that is visible from the dam good view camp site and the just grass site from an inch and a half poly pipe constantly overflowing into the dam from the spar. This is cleaned for summer dips.
The water down at the creek is safe to drink with no filter needed.
The creek is running and crystal clear and very private.
If you are in a 2 wheel drive RV/ Motorhome you can book the "Paw Paw hill site" or "a dam good view"
There is one site that is all grass accessible in the dry weather. Plenty of drinking water is also available at all sites either via a tap or the creek running water.
All campers MUST HAVE their own portable toilet. If no portable toilet you can purchase one from many camping stores at a reasonable price before coming.
Doing number 2 in the bush is totally unacceptable. Because this is a leave no trace camp site we do ask you to take all trash with you when you leave as well.
There is no council rubbish collection in this area. We respect our beautiful paradise and we know you will appreciate it also.
If you make a fire please leave it so I can mow around it once you leave. E.G Please remove all sticks and unburned logs.

This is an amazing campsite, really well kept with nice flat pitches. the little shower and toilet block is really well looked after with hand towels, soap, shower gel, brilliant!
There’s an undercover deck area beside the shower with a place to wash dishes and even a box of games and totem tennis.
This is a perfect place to get back to nature, the campsites are far enough apart to provide a sense of privacy and the general vibe is nice and peaceful.
Will definitely be back, can’t wait!

I loved the camp grounds with the mountain surroundings. Camp 4 is the best but there’s others hidden spots that aren’t 1,2,3, & 4 camp. Drive around a little before you set up.
The misty cafe was delish! We had the ham and pineapple pizza and HOLY it was legit.
Def recommend this camp spot. Good amenities too for the ladies. Will be back ✌️

The campsite is very beautiful, we really loved the spot. Despite of offering such a beautiful site, the best part was the hospitality.
Greg was away, so Shane & David accompanied us to the remote camp site with some guidances on off-roading.
We took the running creek/Lions road back to Brisbane. that was also rewarding with viewpoint like Pinnacle Point Lookout. We will be back 😬

Communication with Anna has been the highlight of this whole experience. She responded quickly, provided insight to the weather to make our stay enjoyable and less stressful (should their property be inaccessible), and even provided options at other sites to accommodate conditions. And then on top of that the camp site was AMAZING!!! It felt remote, couldn’t hear one sound of civilisation, just cows and birds. And the view was spectacular. Highly recommend for those who want offgrid goodness and great service!
