Look for the big red letterbox with the blue flag on the right. This spot is for people that think that they are the only ones left in the world. Once at the top, it's yours to live in peace and quiet. 56 acres of undulating hills covered with native bush land, with 10 cleared sites for you to set up camp. If you like an adventure then this mountain is for you. 2 sites called "Top of the world tent site 1 and tent site 2" are accessible by 4WD only (tent camping is advised) There is a step 19 degree road up to the penthouse summit thats at 1000ft. However if it is dry you can tow a camping trailer but only if you have a winch. If it rains the only way down is backwards tethered to trees via your winch. It's an adventure. Campers are welcome to have a campfire, there is plenty of timber on the ground that you can collect or bring your own. As long as there is no fire ban. There are some great bush walks you can enjoy, including down to the creek (about a 40 min walk). The creek is picturesque with lemon trees and peach trees along the edge while in season. There are 2 sites down at the creek called Firefly's and platypus and these are for off road self contained 4x4 campers and those with a tent. The creek is pristine and crystal clear unless it's raining. These 2 sites are absolutely private if you book them both. If you don't mind sharing the creek with another camper then you only need to book 1 site. There is also a 10 month of the year 30 metre high waterfall (depending on rain fall this waterfall can vary from massive water to slow water) and another seasonal waterfall. Don't forget the dam for swimming with the spa tub and fresh mountain spring water constantly flowing into it from an inch and a half poly pipe constantly overflowing into the dam. The water in the creek is safe to drink with no filter needed. The creek is running and crystal clear and very private. If you are in a 2 wheel drive RV/ Motorhome you can book the "Paw Paw hill site" or "a dam good view" There is one site that is all grass accessible in the dry weather. Plenty of drinking water is also available at all sites either via a tap or the creek running water. All campers MUST HAVE their own portable toilet. If no portable toilet you can purchase one from many camping stores at a reasonable price before coming. Doing number 2 in the bush is totally unacceptable. Because this is a leave no trace camp site we do ask you to take all trash with you when you leave as well. There is no council rubbish collection in this area. We respect our beautiful paradise and we know you will appreciate it also. If you make a fire please leave it so I can mow around it once you leave. E.G Please remove all sticks.

This spot has the most remarkable energy and the scenery is 100% secluded. Getting to the top of this 1000ft mountain is a lot of fun for the experienced 4WDriver. What you need to know is, if it rains heavy during the night you will get stuck there till the sun dry's out the road. The ground has a very high clay content that makes it impossible to get down the mountain for even to most experienced drivers. If it is an emergency then the only way down is using your winch tied to trees and let yourself down like Spiderman :-] It normally takes about 12 hours to dry out depending on how much rain we have had.

At this site you have direct access to the spar tub overflowing into the dam. It is filled 24 / 7 from a poly pipe that is coming from the waterfall directly flowing into the dam. Sitting in this on a hot day is delightful and getting out is very hard, you just want to stay in the tub. with that cold drink with spotify gently playing in the background.

This site is totally private. If it rains you will need to wait till it dries out to get down. This is just near the stream that goes to the 30m shear drop waterfall. The water is the best you will find anywhere. If you do happen to get stranded there during a bad lot of rain you may encounter leaches, so have salt ready and you will be fine.

Base Camp
Alan is an enthusiastic hose that was very welcoming upon our arrival. He took us out to the site and made sure everything was addressed and we had the info to ensure our stay was positive. This site is a great example of someone putting in the time to make is a positive experience. The campsite was large, grassed and mowed, the track in was definitely more suitable for a 4x4 and in the wet it would be fairly demanding even if not towing a van. As it was dry we had no issues. The small creek nearby was nice, it was good to explore and check out the three stage waterfall. The kids had fun in the upper section playing around. We walked to the Top of the World campsite and it was also a cracking spot. If you want a very quiet, to peaceful totally off grid experience this is a great spot to go to. It's not far from Kyogle which has fuel and an IGA if you forget anything. All up, I'd come back again. It's good value and I appreciate Alan sharing his land with the public. It's a great spot. Thank you 👍

Absolutely loved this place the most private and literally on the top of the world. The adventure to the site is 4wdrive only a little adventure up and down the mountain, If you know how to 4wdrive it’s not for a beginner but I’d say intermediate. But so worth it. Once you get the top. I’ll be coming back here for sure. The view and Fires, stars my dogs and no people around 🤌

2wd RV Paw Paw Hill
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Alan’s over the Easter weekend. Plenty of space for ourselves and the kids to explore. Stunning views! The creek was just a short walk away and was beautiful for a refreshing dip. The area was very well maintained. Alan was a wonderful host and we enjoyed chatting with him and the kids enjoyed a special Easter treat he kindly shared with them. Thanks so much for your hospitality Alan, we look forward to visiting again soon!

Fireflies by the Creek
Alan was a great host, providing lots of information about the site and bush walks. We booked out both Fireflies and Platypus Creek sites, which were easy to get to. There were plenty of places to set up our camper trailers and a sheltered area to relax during the heat of the midday. The cool water at the creek was a very welcome place for a dip. We walk to the highest campsite which has an amazing view of the area all the way across to the edge of the Border Ranges National Park.

Beautiful spot off grid Alan was very welcoming allowed us to borrow some levelling blocks for our van Drove up to the top of the world site WOW great view after a scratchy track straight up refreshing dip in homemade spa with mountain spring water

2wd RV Paw Paw Hill
We had such an amazing time staying at Top of the World! This was our first stay at a hip camp property and must say we were so impressed! The location was absolutely beautiful! We booked the Paw Paw hill site as the other sites were already booked. I really loved this spot! sitting on top of a little hill area - beautiful views all around! So Peaceful and Serene. Alan was an awesome host. He met us on arrival and guided us to the site. He also popped in to check on us the following morning. We were even lucky enough to meet his beautiful family. The creek and the spa with fresh water running into it was also so very refreshing to cool down in on the hot days! So Fresh and clean! We loved our stay so much that we intend on coming back for sure and making our visits a regular annual trip! (if not more frequent) Sites are very well maintained and clean and awesome that we got to bring our dog with us!! Thanks for everything Alan and Linda. See you again soon!!

Platypus by the Creek
I would recommend this camp to anyone who likes to be away from it all. We were concerned at first about taking a caravan in and out especially after some heavy rain, but Alan reassured us and we had no problems. The Platypus site has great access to a refreshing swimming hole. The site was very private and the sound of the running creek was very relaxing. We have put this one on our list to return!

A Dam Good View
Beautiful spot overlooking the stunning country side everything was lush with green the wildlife was in abundance waking up to the kokoburras before light watching the wallabies scooting around for a morning feed absolutely beautiful. How ever our second day was eventful as we were exploring the top of the world our Ute clutch crapped itself we were left stranded and had to walk back to site. Alan was very helpful and understanding being nye he was attending family duties but explain to me everything would be sweet and Gary the caretaker will look after us and which he did and an absolute tremendous job. We got our Ute to camp site and everything worked out good I can’t thank Alan and Garry for their hospitality and service straight up legends.

Had a great time. We used it as a base to explore the area. The site was nice and level, even though close to the road, not noisy as the road doesn’t see much traffic.

My family including our 3 kids ages 7, 3 and 1 stayed at base camp and had a great time! So peaceful. They were fully booked but we felt like the only people there. We couldn't see or hear anyone else. Our kids had fun exploring and playing in the creek nearby and got very excited when a wallaby bounced through our campsite. Alan was a great host and even dropped off some biscuits, which were delicious! Thanks again Alan, we can't wait to come back :)

Lovely grassed spot, friendly host, keeps the place so well. We enjoyed a really quiet chilled out weekend there. Our dog enjoyed it more i think, he was exhausted when we got home.

Alan's place was amazing. He was very helpful and even brought us home made cookies. The camping areas are well maintained, well separated from each other and very spacious. We had a huge area at camp 2 all to ourselves. The creek was a short walk, but well worth it.

Hell of a view but sketchy getting there, make sure your 4WD has L4 and tyres plenty of tread. Winch wouldn’t hurt either when it’s wet.
