Site 2 - Scrubby Creek Camp (Caravan & 2WD)

Absolutely — here’s a polished version that still feels warm, genuine and fun rather than overly “review-ish”: We had such a lovely stay! The camping space was fantastic — flat, beautifully grassed and plenty of room to set up and enjoy the surroundings. The little creek was a definite hit with the kids and the dog, while the bigger swimming hole was enjoyed by everyone. It was the perfect spot to cool off, have a splash and let the kids (and dog!) have some fun. The sunset views were absolutely beautiful and made for the perfect end to the day. Kane was a wonderful host — kind, welcoming and easy to deal with. The amenities were clean, well looked after and nicely stocked, which always makes a camping trip that little bit easier. We’re already looking forward to coming back when the cabin is ready for a little date-night getaway! We’ll definitely be back again.

The Climb Is Worth It – Incredible

We had a fantastic weekend staying at the Lookout campsite and would happily recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful bush getaway in the Northern Rivers. The hosts make it clear that a 4WD is required to access the Lookout site—and they aren’t kidding! It’s definitely manageable, but good clearance is important, particularly if, like us, you’re towing a camper up to the top. That said, the drive up is absolutely worth it. The campsite sits right on the ridgeline with beautiful views out to the west. It’s wonderfully peaceful and quiet, with plenty of space to settle in and simply enjoy the surroundings. There’s a fire pit provided, and the hosts also organised firewood for us, which made sitting around the fire in the evening even better. I had the pleasure of meeting Kane, the owner, who is a genuinely lovely guy. Communication with the hosts from start to finish was first class—friendly, helpful and easy. The location is another big plus. We spent part of the weekend riding the Northern Rivers Rail Trail, and the property is only around 15 minutes from Lismore, making it a great base for exploring Lismore, Casino and the surrounding Northern Rivers area. If you’re looking for somewhere that feels properly secluded while still being close to everything the region has to offer, the Lookout is a great choice. Beautiful views, peace and quiet, great hosts and a cracking campsite. We’ll definitely be back.

Katrina and Kane are the most welcoming and accommodating hosts. Their property is an absolute haven - surrounded by majestic hills, and embracing you in it's tranquillity, it is a spot we hope to return to many times. Thank you both so much for a fabulous stay!

Site 2 - Scrubby Creek Camp (Caravan & 2WD)

Lush green grass and trees in a quiet secluded farm. Friendly inquisitive cows were non threatening and very used to human contact. Dry firewood. Lots of birdlife. Just a short drive to the NRRT as Bungabee Springs is 1/2 way between Lismore to Casino section. Ideal if you want a relaxed stay between rides.

A variety of lovely flat camping spaces, that have plenty of shade as well as being spacious enough to run around with the kids. A beautiful property with easy walking tracks to look around and take in the scenery. Would highly recommend to anyone.

We had the best time camping here! There were 9 of us girls, and the campground was perfect for our group. The property is absolutely beautiful, peaceful, and so well looked after. Katrina and Kane were such lovely hosts, so welcoming, friendly, and always happy to help if we needed anything. They really made our stay even more enjoyable. We would definitely recommend this campground to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway and can’t wait to come back again soon. Thank you for having us!

We booked gum tree gully but ended up staying at the lookout. We were fortunate to have good weather all weekend the sunset was amazing at the top, the off roading to get there was a bonus!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review for Bungabee Springs – Lookout Campsite I had the absolute best time staying at Bungabee Springs for 2 nights at the Lookout Campsite. This was my first ever Hipcamp experience, and honestly, I don’t think it could have been any more perfect. The views were absolutely stunning, from the golden sunsets to the peaceful mornings and relaxing nights by the fire, it was such a beautiful place to switch off and just enjoy nature. The campsite itself felt so peaceful, private and special. Katrina and Kane were such amazing hosts and made the whole stay feel so easy and welcoming. They truly went above and beyond, even opening and closing the gates for me, which honestly felt like premium service 😂. They were so friendly, helpful and genuine, and it really made the experience even better. If you’re looking for a quiet, scenic and memorable getaway in the Northern Rivers, I couldn’t recommend this place more. I left feeling so relaxed and already know I’ll be back again by myself and bringing all my friends and family with me. Such a beautiful spot, highly recommend!

Loved the time we spent at Stubby Creek....the site is shaded over in the afternoon and the grass is well kept and short, plus lots of flat spots for tents. The cows are very friendly and do come close, it was our dogs first time meeting cows and he did well. The whole place is so quiet and peaceful and we loved it. We will be back!

Such a great spot for a quiet escape! We had heaps of room for our setup — two cars, a tent, and a couple of gazebos — and no neighbours nearby. The fire pit was a nice touch, and it was super handy being able to add firewood when booking. Amenities were only about 100 metres away.
