50 acres of amazing old forest with a creek and waterhole on the boundary of the property. We will soon have three separate sites, plenty of privacy. Fairly level cleared area near the house. Limited tank water and solar power is available nearby. A short stroll will take you down to the creek and waterhole but it is very chilly in winter. If hiking is your thing you can head 1 000 metres up to the top boundary through 40+ acres of steep old forest and amazing pockets of rainforest.

Up the Top - a private clearing.

Surrounded by pristine old forest is a small clearing. The track up to this site is very rough and strictly 4wd only. *** If you are thinking of booking please send a message first, telling me what sort of vehicle you have. *** Only the most experienced will manage to get a camper trailer up the track. Ideal for rooftop campers or maybe tents or swags. No caravans, no motorhomes. There is nothing here, you will need to bring everything you need for your stay.

Had a quiet little stay at Reenie’s property. Such beautiful country. Highly recommend watching sunset from up on the hill. The creek was pristine and a great place to cool off during the day. Lots of birdwatching. Enjoyed seeing the stars so clearly at night. Thanks so much for having us :)

Lovely quiet spot. Nice creek and swimming spot for the kids just down the road (2min walk). Reenie is very kind and the kids had a lot of fun throwing sticks with her dogs.

Overall we enjoyed our stay there, Reenie was really friendly, kind and accommodating, and came down to have a chat each day. We loved the pretty creek area which was a doable walk through her property and a little bit down the road, and nice fresh water to swim in, lovely with the hot weather. Her dogs were friendly and visited during the day but were pretty well trained so it wasnt too much of a bother. As the other reviewer said the site was somewhat close to the house but we could set up facing away into the bush area so the outlook was nice. There were a lot of building type equipment in various piles between us and the house, so would possibly be a bit tricky for bigger setups to get in (we are a ute and 16ft offroad van and we struggled to turn around at the end and probably should of reversed in). A lot of green ant and ant nests in the camp area as well so the kids wore gum boots to keep them at bay and at least we could see any coming onto our camp mat. We got to have a drive through the rest of her property which is rugged bush but pretty. Big draw card was definitely the creek, and it's in a very picturesque area and close to Chillingham and Tyalgum. Thanks for having us Reenie!

Overall it was an ok campsite for us with reasonable privacy from the main house, but you are still near the house. The site has no shade so bringing your own is essential as it’s on top of the hill. The creek/waterhole was a nice feature but you do have to walk down the driveway and along rocks to access it. Reenie was welcoming and her dogs well behaved and got along with my dogs. Unfortunately both of my dogs got irritated paws probably allergies to different grasses they were not used to but otherwise had a great time being free and swimming. No Vodafone reception but we didn’t mind. Reenie provided some firewood which was great to have a fire at night.

Loved getting away and camping on this property, nice to be able to get away and enjoy your time in the country and get in touch with nature. It’s lovely property and gorgeous creek and having access to it while you stay here. Host was lovely and super friendly, easy directions as well. My self and kids enjoyed our stay. Definitely recommend,
