We had a great time camping at Caldera Creek Farm! The location is so beautiful and peaceful, with lots to explore. Jon is a fantastic host and our dogs loved their play with Ted.

Jon was awesome — super responsive and really went out of his way to help us find the perfect spot. We ended up in a beautiful, private area surrounded by amazing mountains with little creeks to explore. It was so peaceful and relaxing, and Jon even gave us great tips on places to check out nearby. Such a tranquil spot — we’ll definitely be back!

Beautiful property, plenty of space so we couldn’t see or hear any other campers!
The creek was awesome for the kids to wander.
Jon was an awesome host and went above and beyond
And we love Ted the farm dog!!
He was part of our family for a few hours much to the excitement of our youngest son Ted
Ted the dog was super protective of our kids so we felt at ease instantly.

From the breathtaking landscape, absolute privacy, your very own creek pools, offleash freedom for my dog, plenty of walking options, friendly yet respectful owners, there’s nothing not to love!
Due to a hectic schedule, I only gave Jon a few hours notice of my booking and he was responsive and obliging. I met him at the gate and he had firewood delivered to camp already.
There is no internet access from the camp site but is available just a short 50m walk up the hill - to be honest it was a blessing not to have it and allowed me to truly relax and reset.
Ted the super friendly heeler hit it off with my Ted the cavoodle and he kept us company sleeping outside our van on our first night which was lovely.
We enjoyed meeting Jon and his family on our last day and hear their story.
Definitely recommend and would love to return!

We had an absolutely incredible time at Jon's property! The camp spot was breathtakingly stunning and pristine surrounded by the creek and mountains. The vintage caravan option was the best choice, it was clean and bed was really comfy! Kids slept for 10 hours!
Jon was so flexible and helpful, we will be coming back to this spot for sure. Absolutely recommend for a secluded camp spot with stunning views!

Of If I could keep this place just for us, I would. Driving over the ridge it opens up in to a secret valley with stunning views in every direction. Jon was wonderful and gave us many options to camp. Our spot was magical, quite close to the private road (infrequent traffic) but that wasn’t a turn off!
Our puppies loved it, the freedom that comes with a creek, sunny days, and a respectful (to the friendly local black Angus cows) off leash policy.
100% will return - stunning!
Bring your own loo and water and shade (awning or gazebo is a must - it reached 35 degrees in early Oct)
Warning - if you are bringing your fur kids make sure they are on tick protection. Our puppies had 9 and 6 respectively when we ‘tick-checked’ them at home! To be fair Jon reminded us to check them and advised that bush ticks are very much around, however paralysis ticks are quite rare.
All in all an amazing location, a wonderful host and lovely memories (with a sun tan to boot)!
Please don’t go as we want this to ourselves 😂!

This is by far the best site we have been to. It was full capacity yet we didn’t see a soul, so spread out over the property.
We loved every minute.
Jon is a wonderful human, showed us to the most perfect spot next to the creek.
The surrounds are stunning, picture postcard stuff. Talk about peaceful… just the odd moo from a cow and the lovely sound of the running creek.
We missed out on Jon’s offer of his own steak, it had all sold out … so we have to go back next time.

Beautiful location - we barely fit in the gate (our fault - our caravan was bigger than the suggested limit) but were so grateful to Jon, the host and friends for their effort to help guide us in! Loved the scenery, little creek, cows, mountain views and fire pit set up! Our dog could roam freely and had the time of her life!

Absolutely loved it here, will definitely be back. Such a magical area with a gorgeous creek. I only briefly saw the Fig Tree camp site (which looked lovely) but I didn't end up staying there as Jon kindly offered to take me to a different 4wd only spot. Beautiful property and very well-maintained paddocks. The place I camped was a secluded and quiet spot on a creek bend with a gorgeous forest backdrop. It was at the base of a hill that I walked up for a panoramic view of the sunset. Absolutely amazing and an incredible view of the night sky. The view of the sky was also incredible at the camp site - a stargazer's paradise. I usually leave camp pretty early but I hung around here until midday for a swim in the creek and to lounge in the sun enjoying the peace and quiet. 10/10. I will be back.

The best part listening to the creek flow
The host were so helpful and friendly, we were even lucky enough to enjoy some of there veggie garden harvest in our camp dinner

This is one of those places you don’t want to public review for fear of inundation but it’s worth it as a thank you to such lovely hosts who really do look after a beautiful pocket of the world.
A warm welcome, easy spot to set up camp, a lovely little creek, some superb scenery and nice walks at the edge of Nightcap.
We really appreciated the little mud map for some scenic walks. We look forward to returning soon.

Farm Camping with Border Collies

Great open, private space with plenty of room to camp with our offroad caravan. Our two Border Collies loved this spot and went on lots of walks around the property after the host left a hand written map for us. The dogs had lots of swims in the clear flowing water even though it is very cold at this time of the year. Friendly greeting from our host, Jon , He and his wife made sure we were settled in on arrival.

Had the best weekend away. Lovely private campsite right by a crystal clear steam with a little swimming hole. Watched the moon rise and gazed at the stars by the fire. Loved exploring the property with our dog and baby. Jon was a great host, can’t recommend this property enough!
