Pleasant pastures is a convenient 10 minutes to Armidale centre for all your requirements.
Access is all weather from a gravel road into our campaign paddock. As we run an active farm, camp-sites are within the one paddock to keep visitors safe.
We offer 5 campsites within the paddock, so you may have neighbours, but there is plenty of space to set up camp and spread out. There are no set locations, you are welcome to find your spot wherever suits you best.
We welcome pets, and actively encourage you to stretch their legs! We ask though to please pick up after your pets to keep the site clean for the entire guest. If you do allow pets to run about, please keep a close eye on them so as not to disturb other visitors or oir cattle.

We are surrounded by the stunning valley views of Marra Marra National Park. Guests can enjoy hiking, wandering the orchard picking fresh produce, taking a tractor ride, feeding the animals and relaxing. Please note we are a working farm so sometimes tractors and vehicles can be heard working from 7am. There will be foot traffic and possibly tractor rides operating near some of the sites although we will do our best to respect your privacy while you are here. We also have a quarry surrounding most of the property, so they sometimes operate machinery early. This is not generally too disruptive though. We are just 15 minutes' drive from the beautiful historical Wiseman's Ferry and the Hawkesbury River. There are multiple hiking tracks located close by. We have several sites to offer around the property. We have a beautiful huge dam just 350m down the gully. It’s super peaceful although a steep walk down the driveway to access, it's definitely worth it, so pack your walking shoes and some swimmers.

2. No more that 20 people camping on the property at one time - we must know your exact numbers.
3. Zero impact to the land and surrounds, treat it like you would a National Park.
4. ALL WASTE must be bagged and taken off site with you. The rubbish bins in the street are not ours. They belong to the people that live in the valley. You must be prepared to take all rubbish home with you.

The iconic Nelligen Pub only a 10-15 min drive away is a local favourite for hearty meals, pizzas and a great range of tap beers, with takeaway available if you prefer to enjoy dinner back at your campfire. Just nearby, Riverside Café is ideal for fresh coffee, breakfast or a casual lunch in a peaceful riverside setting.
The camping area is surrounded by walking tracks and over the Christmas period the renowned Clyde Berry Farm is open where you can pick your own fresh berries or relax on the grounds for a ice-cream.
You will find Shallow Crossing is also just a 10 min drive up the River Road for an exhilarating swim in fresh mountain water.
The traditional water side camp kitchen offers a BBQ and table to eat. Has power and lighting, fresh drinking water, toilet, hot and cold shower and plenty of cover. With a fire pit just outside for toasting of marshmallows this makes for the best camping spot in the region.
Please be mindful this is a camping and caravaning experience, there is for your convenience a flushing toilet (bring own toilet paper).
This site has its own concrete boat ramp making a heaven for all fisho's and skiers. The ramp is totally safe to launch any watercraft. With water onsite you can even flush motors at the end of the day.

Nestled under the Watagan mountains escarpment in the Hunter valley, the property has some amazing views in all directions, but still remains secluded and hidden from view. The property has been selectively cleared to maintain a balance of open land and untouched bushland which has a boundary to the Watagans National Park.
The animal life is very diverse as many species transition from the Watagans into the property and many live on site full time. These include flocks of amazing bird species such as Gang gang and Black Cockatoos, resident Wedge tailed eagles, Kookaburras, finches, honey eaters, Coucals, Lyrebirds and more. Wallabies of various types are common, and Sugar gliders can be seen on the flowering Eucalypts.
The camping areas for RV's sit on a large elevated flat area that border a large gorge with broken views towards the Hunter Valley vineyards. The Gorge (or Canyon) is rimmed by caves and has rainforest type trees in the bottom. The caves can be explored and the rainforest can be walked if you are fit!
The tent and camper trailer areas are terraced into an area of slight slope with a number of sites to chose from. Non potable water taps are available at each caravan site and at intervals in the camping area. This water is clear fresh dam or bore water and can be used for showers, washing up etc. Two flush toilets are available for use by both RV's and campers. There is a central fire pit.
We have a private site which has open views over the Hunter Valley to the Vineyards and beyond to the Barrington tops. This site has a cliff edge pool that comfortably fits up to 4 people for a dip. This area has a large fire pit that can be used to heat the pool in winter.
This site has its own flushing toilet and Shower. This site is best suited to a caravan as it is terraced, though it would be possible to setup tents or a camper van in this location also. This can also be booked as a group site.
16minutes to Cessnock, 25minutes to the M1, 2.25 hours to Sydney central and 25 minutes to Pokolbin.
The location is generally very peaceful with all sorts of wildlife.
There is plenty of ground sticks for fire wood and bulk timber for purchase.

Binghi Station
Located approximately 4.5hours from Brisbane, Queensland, or 1.5 hour drive west of Tenterfield, New South Wales. Binghi Station, once a large sheep station, was a thriving tin and gem mine from the late 1800 to mid 1900.
Set on 4,000 acres of natural granite rock country and untouched overgrowth of lush tea tree bushlands, the sheer beauty of the land will, without a doubt, leave you breathless of its raw natural beauty.
Binghi Station surrendered to the ravaging bush fires of 2019, however, after this devastation came some much needed rainfall which brought hope; the creation of new life in the form of rich, vibrant green country not seen since the 1980’s.
You can explore endlessly on this raw outback property. Discover secret hideouts, come and enjoy a swim under our flowing waterfall (for those brave enough to during the winter months!) and simply relax and soak in pure wildlife beneath a million stars in the night sky.
Binghi Station is designed for the 4x4 enthusiasts. In other words we strongly recommend access by 4WD only as the entry 6klm driveway is very rugged and bumpy in most places due to heavy rain fall past 12 months. Please ask for more details if necessary should you have any concerns based on your equipment. Its an ongoing maintenance. Its the 4x4 adventure. We would rather talk it down than up:-)
Currently we do not recommend SUV AWD type cars due to there lower profile and vulnerability to bumps and ruts. It is doable many do it all however about driver confidence and add another upto 2hours to trip :-) We recommend parking up the top driveway and having a preplanned lift down.
BE WARNED The driveway and some tracks are rough suited for 4x4 adventure enthusiasts that like to use there pride and joy offroad gear for what its intended.
ps One thing we can say you will never get bogged on our driveway no matter the rain fall as its very compacted despite its authentic rough character.
The Secret Gorge site is suited to tents, camper trailers and smaller length caravans. All our other site locations are suited to off-road 4WD caravans and camper trailers.

Welcome to Port Macquarie's 'The Hatch Farm'; a pet friendly, interactive animal and fishing farm stay! A 150-acre working farm with a stunning outlook over the saltwater Maria River (with a rustic boat ramp and waterway running into the Hastings River). There is plenty to do and see at this hipcamp which was awarded to be one of the best hipcamps in NSW for 2024, and Australia wide for 2025!
Located on the Mid North Coast NSW, 4kms off the Pacific Highway, and a quick 13/15-minute drive to the holiday township of Port Macquarie. Port Macquarie is known for its beautiful beaches, coastal scenery and walks, koala hospital, local strawberry and tomato picking, and 4WDing at nearby beaches and through Cairncross State Forest.
Bernard and Susan are custodians of the farm, primarily using the land for poultry (egg), pig, and goat farming. They are transitioning to an off-grid and eco-friendly lifestyle for their retirement.
The Hatch Farm is home to many animals, most of whom are rescues - including border collies, cavalier king charles spaniels, chickens, ducks, pigs, sheep, goats, miniature horses, cows, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs. There is plenty to do and see around the farm from complete relaxation, interacting with the friendly animals (there is usually a variety of babies to cuddle!), to casting a line or launching your boat from the rustic boat ramp. Please note that all animal interactions are self-led (including our animal nursery), and children must be supervised by their parents/carers. During NSW School Holidays, host led animal interactions will be available at designated times.

Welcome to Pine Creek Camping with the host Brent and the kids working farm
I have been working on lots and with lots of plans towards the future.
We are working on setting up an incredible camping and farming experience for everyone who visits. You will see alot of cleaning up in process to create more options for your stay.
We are on a 180 acre cattle farm situated along a running creek with swimming holes. Surrounded by pristine pine trees and natives. We are roughly 15 minutes from all 3 surrounding towns Kyogle, Casino and Lismore. We are also only an hour away from the beach for any day trips planned.
Great spot to stop for the night on your trip or stay for a weekend and take in the peace and quiet. We are easy to pull into and can cater for all size vans. Roads are all freshly gravelled and well maintained to cater for 2wd access also.
Toilet and Water provided but respect us by taking your own rubbish with you.
Beautiful little stream with rapids and rock holes to keep yourself cool in summer.
More than welcome to bring hiking shoes, mountain bikes to go explore. As long as you respect the farm rules and if the gate is shut you shut it behind you.
No 4wding is permitted on the farm.
Animal feeding is an activity we provide with food available to buy for the animals.
Firewood is also available to purchase on arrival
Dogs allowed on leash, please respect all the other campers on site and generators are welcome to be used but need to be turned off at a respectable time.

Whilst this is a dog friendly site, it would be great if people cleaned up after their dogs 🐕. There was 🐕💩 everywhere.

It was a very peaceful, relaxed setting amongst the fruit trees.
Our site was huge and easy to get into.
It was nice and close to Sydney for our last leg of our trip home.

An absolutely stunning spot next to the river. Hot showers, toilet and deck/pergola overlooking the water a bonus! Clean cabin and linen, and includes some cookware, plates and cutlery. Jaime was a friendly, responsive host. Lovely quiet area and the sites themselves are well sized. Nice to walk around the orchard with the dog. The cafe has some tasty options (I had a great coffee with a bacon and egg roll). The shop with honey and other tasty foodstuff/goods will have a little something for everyone.

A really stunning place smack bang in nature, right next to the edge of a cliff. We were lucky to be the only group to enjoy the whole place but the camping spots are well distanced from each other, you have great privacy. Each spot has its own fire pit with tables/chairs which was handy. Awesome walking trails and friendly farm animals! A bit on the pricey side but would recommend.

The site is absolutely beautiful and nothing beats waking up to those gorgeous views. Charly is a great host and the instructions for access are super clear. We bought two tractor buckets of firewood for our two night stay as we found running both the hot tub and a campfire for cooking used up a fair amount of firewood, especially given it was a bit windy the first night. Bring your own water for hygiene as although the amenities are wonderful, the dam/bore water that they’re run on was quite murky, and we ended up using our own water where we’d been hoping to use the amenities (handwashing and showering), so make sure to bring plenty of water with you. We loved staying here and there’s not many places out there like it - especially given its proximity to Pokolbin and some of our favourite wineries. The stars are absolutely beautiful at night as there isn’t any interfering light and the site had plenty of space for our hilux rooftop tent set up (with the exception of our awning, but we didn’t need it). It’s wonderfully private - there’s definitely wildlife around which was lovely but none came even remotely near the site. We would love to come back in summer and enjoy the site in longer daylight hours!! Thanks again to Charly and Damien for having us x

Loved our stay!! We were on site 3 which is tucked away from everyone. The site had a fire drum and was beautifully grassed. Would be a little busy in apple season though. You’re able to pick the fruit that’s in season and enjoy the cafe for coffee and breakfast. The farm animals were a highlight also.

Richard was so helpful upon our late in assisting us to our powered site. The property is absolutely beautiful, well maintained and enough to explore and immerse yourself incfor an entire weekend. We were really impressed by the small kids play area with a decent size sand pit, trucks and a swing all right on a Lilly dam where you can take kayaks out for a paddle. Stunning little dog friendly retreat. We’ll be back.
