Canoelands Orchard Camping and Fruit Picking, is located just 1 hour from Sydney's CBD. The property is 81 acres in total with a small shop and cafe onsite. We offer pick your own fruit so are open to the public daily (closed on occasion). Trading hours can be viewed at www.bookingscanoeladns.com. We are surrounded by the stunning valley views of Marra Marra National Park. Guests can enjoy hiking, wandering the orchard picking fresh produce, taking a tractor ride, feeding the animals and relaxing. Please note we are a working farm so sometimes tractors and vehicles can be heard working from 7am. There will be foot traffic and possibly tractor rides operating near some of the sites although we will do our best to respect your privacy while you are here. We also have a quarry surrounding most of the property, so they sometimes operate machinery early. This is not generally too disruptive though. We are just 15 minutes' drive from the beautiful historical Wiseman's Ferry and the Hawkesbury River. There are multiple hiking tracks located close by. We have several sites to offer around the property. We have a beautiful huge dam just 350m down the gully. It’s super peaceful although a steep walk down the driveway to access, it's definitely worth it, so pack your walking shoes and some swimmers.
We had an amazing Easter weekend camping at Canoeland Orchard! Jaime was incredibly warm and welcoming. The orchard was a picturesque setting with lots of fruit if you choose to do that as an activity. The kids loved feeding the animals each morning. The campsite was clean, cozy, and well-maintained. We can’t wait to come back!
Our camping experience was absolutely wonderful! From start to finish, everything was thoughtfully planned to ensure a peaceful and memorable getaway. There are plenty of activities to keep us entertained- fruit picking, animal feeding, hiking...
It was the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation.
If you’re looking for a camping experience that’s well-organized, peaceful, and filled with good vibes, I couldn’t recommend this enough.
Communication with Jamie was superb!! Thank you very much for your kind support. We enjoyed fruit picking (my favourite was cherry tomatos), star gazing at night with camp fire.
Kids enjoyed also Animal feeding and tractor ride. Coffee from the shop was also good.
The toilet and shower was not as far as we expected.
We had an awesome experience, site 3 is private and was great for the kids. We loved the tractor ride, the fruit picking, the animal feeding and the campfire. The kids have asked for when we can come back.
We stayed recently at Canoelands Orchard for 2 nights. The farm itself is lovely, the camping is in a nice orchard and you are welcome to pick the vegetables / fruit. Big grassy pitches and fire pit provided. Lots of things to do including animal feeding, tractor rides etc.
I’d say this site is better for self contained setups as the shower and washing up facilities are in serious need of an update and not really up to standard.
We stayed at Site 6 in the Orchard Campground for 3 nights over the Easter break and had an amazing time! The campsite was spacious with very large plots, giving us plenty of room to set up our gear and still have space to relax and explore.
One of the highlights was having the on-site café—perfect for that much-needed morning coffee before starting the day. Our 6-year-old absolutely loved feeding the farm animals and riding in the tractors around the property. There was always something to keep her entertained!
The campground has clean toilets and showers, which made the stay really comfortable. And at night, the sky is something else—you can see a blanket of stars and even spot satellites drifting across the sky. It was a peaceful and memorable experience.
Being located at Canoelands Orchard, there’s also the chance to pick fresh seasonal fruit, enjoy delicious house-made jams and relishes, and even grab a cider or fresh juice from the farm shop. The friendly staff made us feel welcome, and the relaxed farm atmosphere was a great escape from the city.
Highly recommend this spot for families or anyone wanting to unwind in a beautiful, rural setting!
