Canoelands Orchard Camping and Fruit Picking, is located just 1 hour from Sydney's CBD. The property is 81 acres in total with a small shop and cafe onsite. We offer pick your own fruit so are open to the public daily (closed on occasion). Trading hours can be viewed at www.bookingscanoeladns.com. We are surrounded by the stunning valley views of Marra Marra National Park. Guests can enjoy hiking, wandering the orchard picking fresh produce, taking a tractor ride, feeding the animals and relaxing. Please note we are a working farm so sometimes tractors and vehicles can be heard working from 7am. There will be foot traffic and possibly tractor rides operating near some of the sites although we will do our best to respect your privacy while you are here. We also have a quarry surrounding most of the property, so they sometimes operate machinery early. This is not generally too disruptive though. We are just 15 minutes' drive from the beautiful historical Wiseman's Ferry and the Hawkesbury River. There are multiple hiking tracks located close by. We have several sites to offer around the property. We have a beautiful huge dam just 350m down the gully. It’s super peaceful although a steep walk down the driveway to access, it's definitely worth it, so pack your walking shoes and some swimmers.

Site 5 is situated in the middle of the adjoining properties overlooking the Lilly pad filled Dam. Not recommended for small children due to water hazard. Frogs croak loudly at night in this location. There is a toilet block as well as a single toilet, shower and washing machine located near our shop and cafe area. This is a 1 minute drive or a 2 minute walk from the location of the site. A camp toilet is recommended for night. This location will comfortably accommodate 1 tent or a small camp trailer parked slightly further away from the dam. Slightly difficult vehicle access and limited space to turn around but a stunning little spot. We advise that you don’t set up under the trees in windy conditions rather set up along the dam wall further. Fires are welcome as long as there is not a fire ban. A fire drum will be provided. We have a boutique shop and café on site so morning coffee, breakfast and lunch can be purchased. Trading from 9am. If you would like to do some picking (when in season) you are welcome to. You may pick what’s harvesting to consume while you are onsite within reason. Site 3 is situated on the south western side of our property. Located in a grassy area atop a fenced cliff surrounded by orchard on one side, looking over a quarry and dam below. There is a toilet block as well as a single toilet, shower and washing machine located near our shop and cafe area. This is a 1 minute drive or a 3 minute walk from the location of the site. A camp toilet is recommended for night. This location will comfortably accommodate 2 tents or 1 camp trailer. Fires are welcome as long as there is not a fire ban. A fire drum will be provided. We have a boutique shop and cafe on site so morning coffee, breakfast and lunch can be purchased. Site 4 is situated at our adjoining property, # 31 Canoelands Road. Located in a grassy area atop an unfenced steep decline surrounded by orchard on one side, looking over the valley and stunning views across the Marra Marra National park. There is a toilet block as well as a single toilet, shower and washing machine located near our shop and cafe area. This is a 2 minute drive or a 5 minute walk from the location of the site. A camp toilet is recommended for night. This location will comfortably accommodate 2 caravans or 3 tents. This site is not recommended for small children. This site is located near houses. On occasions we have visitors till late. Please also be aware that the Neighbour has a cows and roosters and a dog that can be a little noisy. Fires are welcome as long as there is not a fire ban. A fire drum will be provided. Wood can be ordered through us or you can BYO. We have a boutique shop and cafe on site (next door) so morning coffee, breakfast and lunch can be purchased. Trading from 9am. (closed Tuesdays and at times in non harvest season) We also have honey, jams, chutneys and drinks available. If you would like to do some picking (when in season) you are welcome to. You may pick what’s harvesting to consume while you are onsite within reason. This site is 9m wide and 27.5m long and will accommodate 3 tents, 2 camp trailers or 1 caravan. There is a toilet block as well as a single toilet shower and washing machine located near our shop and cafe area. This is a 2 minute drive or a 5 minute walk from the location of the site. A camp toilet is recommended for night. Fires are welcome as long as there is not a fire ban. A fire drum will be provided. We have a boutique shop and cafe on site so morning coffee, breakfast and lunch can be purchased during trading from 9am. (Please see www.bookingscanoelands.com to review trading hours as they sometimes vary). We also have honey, jams, chutneys and drinks available. If you would like to do some picking (when in season) you are welcome to. You may pick what’s harvesting to consume while you are onsite within reason. (This does not include strawberries and blueberries; they will need to be purchased prior to consumption) Any produce you take home with you will need to be purchased prior to departure. We offer a range of activities. We have animals to feed each morning, horses, chickens, goats, pigs, guinea pigs and alpacas. You are welcome to join in. Please just message to arrange to meet in the morning. We also offer a tractor ride (can be arranged with shop staff). Please note that we are a working farm and a pick your own orchard so patrons, farm staff will possibly be passing your campsite throughout the day although we will do our best to reduce traffic in your location. Please note the blocks nearest to this site usually harvest May-July and Nov-mid Dec.

Site 1 - Orchard Escape

We highly recommend a stay at Canoelands Orchard! We had such a fun and memorable experience camping with our 20ft caravan. Access was easy, and the spacious sites made for a very comfortable stay. A highlight for our family was the hands-on experience for the kids. They absolutely loved feeding the animals and picking and eating the delicious winter fruits straight from the orchard. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly! It was such a delightful getaway, and we’d love to return in the summertime to experience it in a different season.

This is such an amazing camp spot, so close the Sydney. Perfect for kids, they loved picking fruit (turns out they do like orange!), feeding the animals and a morning tractor ride. All the facilities available do the job. But this place is the perfect for a weekend adventure away with the kids!

Site 5 - Camp by the dam

Great place, visited with my wife and we stayed in camp 5 by the little lake. It says 4WD recomended, some reviews say its too small of a road for a big car, we did not come with a 4WD, so dont worry if you want to book this site if you dont have a 4WD. Just dont try drive up the section of the hill, its a quick walk, just be polite where you park the car and check its OK. We came during the week, so it was nice to have the whole farm mostly empty outside of staff and a few visitors in the morning. The package of feeding the animals, picking fruit and a night stay is worth the cost too. The owners are upfront in how they disclose the quarry and road as a potenial issue for some due to the sound, however we did not mind it or notice it much. Beautfiul thick fog in the morning that stuck around till 10ish. They offer a $20 dollar bag of firewood and our camp site had a metal fire pit. Through we did not buy the fire wood, there was plenty of wood around if you dont mind lugging it up the hills :) The dead eucalyptus branches/leaves make a great fire starter and it helps the owners redue the fire risk! Just make sure you put out your fire if leaving unattended, if its windy and on a dry day, there is plenty of lake water next to you to put it out before you head off. The staff are friendly, supportive, the cafe staff accepted my request too add my protein/nutrients blend and the facilitys are very close to the camp site, makes an easy walk between picking, hikes ect.

I took my two young boys 4 & 2 out there for a night camping. It was such a perfect camp spot we stayed in section 10. I couldn’t have asked for a better location. The animal feeding along with the tractor ride was a huge hit. I’ve already recommended it to friends. We will be back

Absolutely loved our visit here. The sites were easy to set up in with plenty of room to share with friends. Communication was fantastic between Jamie. Bathrooms were a quick walk away. We enjoyed the walk around looking at the different fruits and our son loved picking his own tomato's. The animal feeding was a massive hit. It was great to see all the kids excited and interacting with the animals. We cant wait to book another trip back

Canoelands is a gorgeous place to stay. Camping in an orchard is magical. Jaime and Nathan have set it up so well so it's easy and comfortable and great for beginner campers. We were also treated to fresh eggs as well as fresh fruit and veggies from their farm and our camp meals were utterly delicious. Stay if you can. Super easy to get to too. Beautiful overnight break for us.

We had a great camping experience in Canoelands. The campsite is very spacious and easily accommodated our group, with enough room to comfortably fit around eight tents without feeling crowded. The shower and bathroom facilities were decent, which made the stay much more comfortable. There’s also a café and some tables just a short 5-minute walk from the campsite, which was really convenient for quick meals or a relaxing break. The hosts were nice and responsive. Another highlight was the range of activities available, especially for kids, you can book a few fun options to keep them entertained. Overall, it’s a lovely spot for a group camping trip, and we’d definitely consider coming back.

Camping here was such a wonderful experience. My son absolutely fell in love with the adorable guinea pigs and alpacas. Picking tomatoes, persimmons, and eggplants was also incredibly fun and something we truly enjoyed together. We will definitely come back for another camping trip. This is a beautiful and charming place that offers so many lovely experiences. Highly recommended!

Was a lovely site for tent camping. The grass was lovely to walk on and my daughter and dog had a lovely time playing on it. The sites were quite close together but were still nice and had a fire pit for each site. Loved all the activities through the day, will definitely be back!

Great grassy area amongst the orchard, with nice views into the distance of Marra Marra National Park. Nice to have the cafe and facilities on the site and accessible. Nice sunset and great to have the fire drum on our site. Only dampener was the adjoining quarry, with machinery noise starting early.

We all enjoyed staying at Jaime and Nathan’s campsite! We had plenty of privacy, a great experience picking a variety of fruits, and they were super tasty! The children also loved feeding animals and picking fruits 🥰. We highly recommend it to everyone! The only downsides were that the toilets were quite far, and the washing and shower areas were a bit dirty, but apart from that, we were all very happy with our stay! ☺️

We absolutely loved our stay in the orchard. Fabulous grassy flat ground perfect for your tent. The toilets were a short walk away. Cafe on site was great for a coffee the following morning. Each site has its own campfire and you can purchase some firewood for an extra cost. 10/10 would recommend, our highlight was strolling through the orchards and picking some fresh produce to take home with us!!
