Wonderful private set up. Campers all have their own spaces across the farm, so we enjoyed the privacy. Hosts and all staff were really helpful. Good facilities- and wonderful fruit. Also, lovely to see the farm animals too. They even have a café and coffee 😀

Weekend Trip to Canoelands Orchard Camping

For a quick weekend getaway with kids, this camp location is highly recommended. There was just enough to entertain my two kids with the pigs, goats and guinea pigs. We also trek downhill on the steep slope to the dam. The highlight of this campsite was picking and purchasing the in season nectarines and peaches of course! I highly recommend Canoeland Orchard camping and would definitely go there again.

Had a lovely weekend camping at the Orchard. Sites are large and can have dogs and fires. Toilets and shower a bit of a walk. Also picked peaches and nectarines for later. The icecream was delish.

Starting with the country-style reception area and the incredibly friendly lady behind the counter, to the horses, llamas (or alpacas?) and donkeys that curiously eye you up, this farm immediately put us in the holiday mood. The road up to the campsite is a bit rough, but manageable. Once you reach the top, you are rewarded with an incredibly beautiful view over the valley and plenty of space for every guest. A solid 10/10!

The site i quiet and low density (only 5 sites and we don't really meet the ppl in other campsite) To reminded that you need to bring all the drinking/cooking water as there is no tap for the camper. we enjoy it and what a peaceful night.

Lovely spot. Not too far away from Sydney but it feels far removed from the hustle and bustle of the city. The facilities are great for kids and the river is very safe for them and dogs. Great location if you dont want to travel too far. Lots of animals on site too. Kept our 6 year old entertained. We'll be back 🙂

Camp site was nice with a beautiful view and was secluded once the fruit picking stopped which was just after check in time. The site was not too far from the toilets which was handy. The shop sold some of the best marmalade and butter we've ever tasted. It was a great experience for getting my wife into camping for the first time.

Canoelands Orchard Camping and Fruit Picking, is located just 1 hour from Sydney's CBD. The property is 81 acres in total with a small shop and cafe onsite. We offer pick your own fruit so are open to the public daily (closed on occasion). Trading hours can be viewed at www.bookingscanoeladns.com. We are surrounded by the stunning valley views of Marra Marra National Park. Guests can enjoy hiking, wandering the orchard picking fresh produce, taking a tractor ride, feeding the animals and relaxing. Please note we are a working farm so sometimes tractors and vehicles can be heard working from 7am. There will be foot traffic and possibly tractor rides operating near some of the sites although we will do our best to respect your privacy while you are here. We also have a quarry surrounding most of the property, so they sometimes operate machinery early. This is not generally too disruptive though. We are just 15 minutes' drive from the beautiful historical Wiseman's Ferry and the Hawkesbury River. There are multiple hiking tracks located close by. We have several sites to offer around the property. We have a beautiful huge dam just 350m down the gully. It’s super peaceful although a steep walk down the driveway to access, it's definitely worth it, so pack your walking shoes and some swimmers.

We have cleared grassy paddocks, some shady areas, and access to the Colo River, one of the most pristine rivers in NSW. Our river access is normally shallow, well-suited to young families or those who just want to lay back and enjoy a refreshing dip. Amazing sunrises, sunsets, and stargazing are provided free of charge along with bird watching, local wildlife, and horses in surrounding paddocks. We offer limited sites to comply with NSW Camping legislation and Hipcamp guidelines and to enable campers to experience the Colo as it should be, listening to the beautiful wildlife and really appreciating the outdoors. Sites are large with varying distance between each to enable you to enjoy the camping experience in your own space. Both paddock sites and limited river spots are available. If planning to stay with friends and you wish to share a site only 1 booking is required, the sites are large, some up to 30m x 30m. IMPORTANT: Pets are allowed on a case-by-case basis, with conditions, and a $20 fee applies. Please check with Hosts before booking. Once approved, please add the Pets Extra when booking. (Saturday night 2-night minimum) There is no mobile reception or internet access, therefore, providing a true off-grid retreat. Self-sufficient campers are preferred. We are 1.2 km from the township along the River Road. There are powered and unpowered sites for caravans and campers set in a rustic location. Nestled under the Watagan mountains escarpment in the Hunter valley, the property has some amazing views in all directions, but still remains secluded and hidden from view. The property has been selectively cleared to maintain a balance of open land and untouched bushland which has a boundary to the Watagans National Park. The animal life is very diverse as many species transition from the Watagans into the property and many live on site full time. These include flocks of amazing bird species such as Gang gang and Black Cockatoos, resident Wedge tailed eagles, Kookaburras, finches, honey eaters, Coucals, Lyrebirds and more. Wallabies of various types are common, and Sugar gliders can be seen on the flowering Eucalypts. The camping areas for RV's sit on a large elevated flat area that border a large gorge with broken views towards the Hunter Valley vineyards. The Gorge (or Canyon) is rimmed by caves and has rainforest type trees in the bottom. The caves can be explored and the rainforest can be walked if you are fit! The tent and camper trailer areas are terraced into an area of slight slope with a number of sites to chose from. Non potable water taps are available at each caravan site and at intervals in the camping area. This water is clear fresh dam or bore water and can be used for showers, washing up etc. Two flush toilets are available for use by both RV's and campers. There is a central fire pit. We have a private site which has open views over the Hunter Valley to the Vineyards and beyond to the Barrington tops. This site has a cliff edge pool that comfortably fits up to 4 people for a dip. This area has a large fire pit that can be used to heat the pool in winter. This site has its own flushing toilet and Shower. This site is best suited to a caravan as it is terraced, though it would be possible to setup tents or a camper van in this location also. This can also be booked as a group site. 16minutes to Cessnock, 25minutes to the M1, 2.25 hours to Sydney central and 25 minutes to Pokolbin. The location is generally very peaceful with all sorts of wildlife. There is plenty of ground sticks for fire wood and bulk timber for purchase.
