Our site provides a perfect opportunity to step away from the rush of life, into a place where time slows, nature speaks, and the land welcomes you with open arms. Nestled in an open valley, within the ancient lands of the Darkinjung people- the traditional custodians of Yengo National Park, we offer the perfect space to disconnect from the digital world and reconnect with the land, yourself, and the rhythms of nature. As you walk through the valley, along ridges, and into the bushland, you follow paths walked for thousands of years. The land holds stories, wisdom, and energy that invite a deep sense of presence and respect. The valley teems with native wildlife. Wake to the calls of lyrebirds, watch wallabies grazing in the mist, and spot wombats burrowing at dusk. Birdwatchers will delight in the chance to see colourful parrots, majestic eagles, and other native species in their natural habitat. As night falls, the sky opens in all its brilliance, offering a breathtaking display of stars unspoiled by city lights. Sleep beneath the endless sky, wrapped in the sounds of the bush, and experience the deep peace that comes with being immersed in nature. Our place offers more than just an outdoor getaway, it invites you to slow down and embrace the landscape around you. Whether seeking solitude or shared experiences, there are countless ways to connect with this ancient land: • Bushwalking & Exploration – Wander along trails through the valley, ridges, and bush to experience Yengo’s diverse ecosystems. • Stillness & Reflection – Find a quiet spot to sit and simply be. Let the land guide you into a state of stillness, free from distractions and daily pressures. Listen to the wind, the birds, and the wisdom held in the land itself, or engage in meditation or journalling to deepen your connection with yourself and the environment. • Campfire Connection – As the sun sets, gather around the warmth of the fire. Share stories, listen to the crackling wood, and embrace the simplicity of conversation under the vast night sky. Welcome to HOME – a secluded off-grid camping experience in the heart of nature. Tucked away and surrounded by national park on three sides, this is as peaceful and remote as it gets. No crowds, no noise, no rush. Just open land, fresh air, and the sound of birds from sunrise to sunset. HOME is designed for those who truly enjoy nature and simplicity. This is a fully self-sufficient camping site, meaning you will need to bring everything you need for your stay. There is no power on site, and no luxury infrastructure – you are here to connect with the land and the nature. We offer access to a shower and a compost toilet, but everything else is up to you. Think of it as camping the way it was meant to be. You’ll be sharing the space with wildlife – kangaroos, wombats, and an abundance of birdlife call this place home. If you’re lucky (and respectful), you might even spot our very shy red-bellied black snake, who prefers to keep to itself. ⸻ Important things to know before booking: * This is a bring-your-own-gear campsite * No powered sites * Water is NOT drinkable – please bring your own drinking water * No glass bottles allowed on the property (for safety and environmental reasons) * All rubbish must be taken with you when you leave * Fires must be fully extinguished before departure * Access includes a 40 minutes dirt road and natural terrain – you need a high clearance car, ⸻ The experience: Wake up to mist over the land, spend your day exploring or doing absolutely nothing, and wind down by the fire under a sky full of stars. No reception. No distractions. Just space to breathe. If you’re looking for raw, quiet, and real – you’ll feel at HOME.

Our campsites are few and far between, just the way we like it. Each one is private, peaceful, and shaded by native gums. Wake to the sound of kookaburras laughing in the morning light. Watch wallabies, roos, and wombats graze at dusk. Let the crackle of your campfire be the only sound come nightfall. Here, we live simply. Solar power, rainwater tanks, and good old-fashioned bush smarts keep things ticking. No frills, no fuss, just real country hospitality in its rawest, richest form. If you’re after Wi-Fi and modern comforts, this might not be for you. But if you want to sit by a fire, share a yarn, and wake up to birdsong while sharing a cuppa, we’ll have a spot waiting. At the end of Upward Road, hidden in the folds of Yengo National Park, lies The Upward Place — a quiet, off-grid patch of paradise carved into our ancient land. Surrounded by sandstone ridges and wide skies, this humble, hardworking bush block invites campers to slow down and settle into the rhythm of the wild. And under construction is The Boree Bush Bakery, a micro bakery tucked into the heart of the property. On bake days, you’ll smell it before you see it — fresh sourdough, flaky pastries, and proper meat pies made with love (and a bit of bush magic). It’s an honest feed in an honest place.

With its large, secluded Bush Campsites, 'Chapman Valley' is still Sydney's best-kept secret! Picture this. Your weekend escape is relaxed from the very start - the car trip along the scenic winding Putty Road is slow and leisurely as you know you can arrive at any time for the self serve check-in. After signing in, you meander through this Beef Cattle farm, heading to your own designated camping area. A private corner of the property all to yourselves! After setting up camp, and showing off your awesome (of course) campfire lighting skills, you sink back in your camp-chair and listen to ...the bush. And you see ...the bush. Not a single other camper in site. Oh, except the ones you invited with you of course! There they are. The kids running enthusiastically across the open paddock chasing after their footy, with Buster, the family dog happily nipping at their heels. "They'll sleep well tonight!" you think to yourself happily, as you sink further into your camp-chair and take a long drink on that ice cold beer. 1hr drive from the nearest town (Singleton), "Chapman Valley" is the perfect oasis for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle. There are no nearby shops so be sure to bring everything with you. The property offers over 100kms of bush tracks ideal for walking, push-bike riding or 4WDing. On site-horse riding is available, offering rides ranging from 1hr family rides to full day experienced rides. Check out our website for a full list of offerings. The Communal camping area is within walking distance of our amenities block, which offers flushing porcelain toilets and a hot shower. Nestled under the Watagan mountains escarpment in the Hunter valley, the property has some amazing views in all directions, but still remains secluded and hidden from view. The property has been selectively cleared to maintain a balance of open land and untouched bushland which has a boundary to the Watagans National Park. The animal life is very diverse as many species transition from the Watagans into the property and many live on site full time. These include flocks of amazing bird species such as Gang gang and Black Cockatoos, resident Wedge tailed eagles, Kookaburras, finches, honey eaters, Coucals, Lyrebirds and more. Wallabies of various types are common, and Sugar gliders can be seen on the flowering Eucalypts. The camping areas for RV's sit on a large elevated flat area that border a large gorge with broken views towards the Hunter Valley vineyards. The Gorge (or Canyon) is rimmed by caves and has rainforest type trees in the bottom. The caves can be explored and the rainforest can be walked if you are fit! The tent and camper trailer areas are terraced into an area of slight slope with a number of sites to chose from. Non potable water taps are available at each caravan site and at intervals in the camping area. This water is clear fresh dam or bore water and can be used for showers, washing up etc. Two flush toilets are available for use by both RV's and campers. There is a central fire pit. We have a private site which has open views over the Hunter Valley to the Vineyards and beyond to the Barrington tops. This site has a cliff edge pool that comfortably fits up to 4 people for a dip. This area has a large fire pit that can be used to heat the pool in winter. This site has its own flushing toilet and Shower. This site is best suited to a caravan as it is terraced, though it would be possible to setup tents or a camper van in this location also. This can also be booked as a group site. 16minutes to Cessnock, 25minutes to the M1, 2.25 hours to Sydney central and 25 minutes to Pokolbin. The location is generally very peaceful with all sorts of wildlife. There is plenty of ground sticks for fire wood and bulk timber for purchase.

Brightwater sits beside Olney State Forest and Kuluwan Flora Reserve. It is a 50-acre farm with a lovely spring-fed dam, with our nearby campsite. The site contains van parking, an open pavilion, an open deck by the stream, a fire pit, and a dunny. It is private and secluded, and with just one group staying at a time, you are guaranteed the space to yourselves. Please go straight ahead on Collins Ave and enter through the car entrance, NOT the truck entrance which is off to the right. If you come in the truck entrance I can't see you. There are many beautiful walking and bike trails in the area. Lots of wildlife to meet, including water dragons, wild ducks, and pythons, to name a few. There is also nearby evidence of the original occupants, the Darkinjung people. You are also welcome to bring a couple of horses! There's a safe paddock with a trough and nice trails in the area to explore. The Kulnura General Store and bottleshop is just 9km down the road for basic supplies.

Or, head into Cessnock, 20km up the dirt road for more essential services. **Please note that the creek and waterhole pictured are reliant on the weather. During drought or extended dry periods the water level may be lower than pictured. Please message us for the latest updates before booking if you particularly want deep waterhole swimming.
