100 acres of long grasses and wildflowers nestled next to the Wollombi Brook at the base of the Yengo and Pokolbin hills. The property is moments from many of Hunter Valley's finest wineries and wedding venues, as well as offering easy access to numerous hikes and 4x4 tracks in the surrounding hills. The sunsets over the Yengo hills are simply stunning. Please note that there are no toilets on the property, this is open to self contained campers only.

Set up camp nestled in the grasses near the brook, with privacy and ease of access to the surrounding wineries, hiking trails and venues. Wineries within a 10-minute drive include Margan, Krinklewood, Whispering Brook, Talits, 1813, Winmark, Running Horse, Mount Broke, Somerville and Broke Estate. Explore the local wineries or keep it low-key and go for a paddle in the cool water while dinner cooks over the fire. Access to the site is generally fine for 2wd, however, there are wombats in the area that can dig large holes that are difficult to see. 4x4 is recommended. Please note: 1. You will be sharing the property with cattle. They’re friendly and may come right up close to check you out. 2. The property has long grass around the sites which is not currently slashed. 3. You’re camping in the bush - there are snakes, spiders etc. So take care and keep an eye out.

Start your day with the morning light filtering through the trees, explore the local hiking trails or vineyards just 10 minutes away, and wind down with a dip in the brook as the sun dips. Evenings are for crackling campfires, quiet conversations under a canopy of stars, and the gentle hum of the bush surrounds. Things to know: 🐮 You’ll share the property with cattle – they might wander by to say hello. The grass around the site is left long to keep things natural - this isn't a park-land. This is a true bush experience – wildlife, including snakes and spiders, are part of the charm, so take care as you explore. Access is fine for most vehicles, though wombats sometimes dig sneaky holes – so go slow and stick to the track.

This spot was great, lovely view to wake up to! It has just the basics (bit of flat land and some firewood) which is perfect for people looking to feel secluded. However, just down the road is Broke and you’re surrounded by delicious wineries such as Krinklewood!

On arrival we were surprised to see another van set up on our site. They too were surprised to learn there was an expectation to share the site. No communication to clarify the situation. Have reached out the host for an explanation prior to leaving this review to get further context, none received. Riverside camp is listed as one site but apparently that doesn’t stop them taking multiple bookings for the same site. $80+ a night for a shared site without any provisions or facilities is a bit rich , even on a long weekend. Lovely camp site and location, just had some of the excitement sucked out of the stay.

Jordan's Riverside North area is large and very private. We loved having space to kick the footy, and let the dog run free. Jordan is a great host.

Loved this camp site. The views of the mountains were beautiful. It was so quiet. 💓💓 We thought our booking was for the entire area however we had to share it with another camper. There was heaps of room however would have liked to have known this before we got there. Would totally recommend it.

No Optus coverage outside property so would have liked directions from host (you are going to need them) before arrival and not after. A simple sign that says the word Hipcamp or Cooks Corner would be helpful instead of the sign that says Private Property No Trespassing. Gate is quite close to the road so if you have more than about a 17” van, your van entering or the front of your car when exiting will be on the road while opening or closing the gate. Having said all of that, the site was very peaceful (not mowed) with spectacular views and we didn’t hear any noise from the large group on one side of us or the other campers to the other side of us. Don’t want to be a Karen but if there is a car and van parked out front of your property just after normal check in time, for 10 minutes while you sit on the porch, might be 1 of your customers trying to find the place

We really enjoyed our stay! Super close to the vineyards, great views to the mountains. Well maintained and easy to find. We had our camper trailer and found access and the space to be more than enough room to manoeuvre and face the camper towards the view. Will definitely be back to spend more time next time

Conveniently located very close to Broke and only 20mins from Pokolbin. Beautiful sunset and sunrise with the mountains in the distance. Once the road quietens down of an evening its very peaceful with just the frogs and the roos and the cows.

Had a great 4 day stay at Riverside Corner. The large site was perfect for a couple of vans, very private and secluded. The views to yellow rock mountain were lovely particularly at sunset. The cows were friendly and made themselves at home in our campsite. Jodan was helpful answering all our questions. A very relaxing spot.

Great quiet spot to unwind and relax, would come back again. Plenty of space to go for a walk, town and servo around the corner if need be. Plenty of reception for the weekend worker

Camping at Jordan's place was fantastic, quiet, and picturesque. We thoroughly enjoyed our Easter break, and highly recommend staying there.

Campsite was private with only one other group within sight. View from camp was very nice. Particularly at sunrise in the morning mist. The creek/stream bathing was only for the very brave/desperate and could not recommend this aspect of the offering. Otherwise the offering was very nice and communication was good.

Jodan was an acceptional host and very welcoming. The property is long grassed but the designated camping spots are mowed down and shorter grass so it was a good ground. The property has amazing mountain views especially early mornings in the dewy fog with the sun up it was sensational and a very peaceful place. Perfect for very isolated campers wanting their own space.

Good spot. The ridgeline provides a nice outlook from the cow paddock. Good instructions were provided on how to get there so we found the spot without too much trouble. Met the neighbour who was friendly as well. Only downside was there was still a fair bit of road noise. Was hoping to feel more remote than we were but still had a good time.

I was a little apprehensive based on the other reviews but decided to give it a go and I’m really pleased I did! Riverside North site was nestled away and very private. The grass surrounding the site was tall in clumps but very easy to move through if exploring. It actually provided more privacy! The grass in the site itself was short. There was a barbed wire fence separating us from the river but we followed the fence down the track on a walk for a few minutes and found a gate that provided easy access. Yes there were a few old cow patties but it’s a farm so that’s to be expected! Nothing a shovel and a few mins of effort didn’t fix. If you’re a bush camper and happy to be away from it all this site is for you! And the host, Jodan, was very responsive. We, and our two dogs, really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed here as we wanted somewhere to relax after a big night of eating quality BBQ at Smoke in Broke. Campsite was easy to find, close to the festival and had spectacular views. We would stay here again next year if it were available.

Excellent location on outskirts of Broke. Level land with 3 spots that provide shade and privacy. River frontage though difficult to get down to river as access is steep and through 5 row barb wire fence. Overpriced for non maintained site but I was warned grass was high. Good communication and signage by owner.

Great camping spot - close to Broke and provides a great base from which to explore the hunter valley region. Good access - once you find the gate. We stayed for a few nights in our caravan. Our dogs enjoyed their time here - would recommend.
