At Hugo's Wollombi, you'll wake to lyrebirds, swim in the fresh waters of Wollombi Brook, wander mountain trails, and relax under the shade of our trees. Our off-grid camping experience blends rustic simplicity with thoughtful touches for a comfortable, nature-led escape. What's here for you: - Animal feeding experiences (Chickens, goats and horses) - Creek swimming & bush walks - Optional 4WD track to Sunset Ridge with dam views Camp Options: - Front Paddock: 2WD friendly, open views - Garden Area: Close to amenities, serene views, 2WD friendly - Ridge- top bush sites: 4WD access only, epic sunsets and the true off-grid experience Limited sites available to preserve privacy. Gear Options: - Hire our set-up tent or Jayco Swan Camper (Subject to availability, contact us to find out more) Family & Pets: - Dogs welcome! (must be controlled as this is a working farm) - Kids under 5 camp free! !!!There are steep drops on this property and children must be supervised at all times!!! Escape the city. Slow down. Experience the Hunter Valley in a way you'll never forget.There are no set sites, but several areas on the property we can recommend for setting up, based on your setup, vehicle, and personal preferences. There is a lovely front paddock ideal for self-contained campers and those in 2WD. There is a pretty garden area with great views and closer access to the toilet, again, 2WD accessible. There are also options towards the top of the property, closer to the bush, with stunning views, which may be preferred for those with off-road capabilities. We can help advise upon booking or arrival. Each option will provide a serene base camp from which to explore the beautiful wine country in the lower Hunter Valley. Awaken to the natural bush sounds of lyrebirds. There's a creek to cool your heels and walking tracks around our 120 acres of natural bushland. We are a working farm, with neighbouring farms with livestock, so whilst dogs are welcome they must be kept under control at all times. KIDS UNDER 5 YEARS OLD CAMP FREE Note: There are some steep drops to be aware of children must be supervised at all times.

There are no set sites, but several areas on the property we can recommend for setting up, based on your setup, vehicle, and personal preferences. Hugo's Wollombi Garden Area
This was our first ever Hipcamp and we loved staying at Hugo's. Ron is a wonderful, warm host and the location is very beautiful. Open fire, creek, gurgling close by and only an hour away from Newcastle. Highly recommend.

Hugo is very helpful. He helped us start our car which was stuck after battery drained out.he allowed the kids to play on trampoline. Kids loved the swing as well. We played a bit of cricket as well. Highly recommended!!

Beautiful spot close to the river. Nice flat area to park our larger van in. Surrounded by beautiful trees and birds galore!

Privacy on the campground was amazing.So peaceful. Ron was so accommodating.Met us at the gates and escorted us to the campgrounds.Very knowledgeable with surroundings places to see and the workings of the campground.Lovely people.

Ron and his family where great hosts very welcoming ,friendly and helpful! Beautiful property it has a flushing toilet and town water. We went for a drive with my 4x4 on his property where Ron directed us through beautiful bushland to an amazing lookout. Thank you Ron will be back again!
