The property rests on the shoulder on Mt Nellinda on nineteen hectares of land, there are one large Greenhouse where we grow potted flowers and some veggies, also several large dams which are used for irrigation and act as a Sanctury for our geese, best of all are the views. The perfect spot for relaxing next to a fire and listening to the Frogs and nightlife and waking to the sounds of kookaburras and bird life, Lots of Rock Wallabies in the evenings and early mornings. Dog friendly, no leads required, portable toilets in the multiple Camp site 1 and an older style toilet in the camping area 2, fresh water available only next to the portable toilets camping area 1. also included is a camp kitchen with fridge, kettle microwave etc for your convenience. Check with host regarding campfires. Please DO NOT invite friends and relatives to your campsite without first notifying Host. (little curtesy goes a long way) Group bookings accepted with prior notice to save camping areas. Range of six camping areas. CAMP 1 allows up to 14 or more campsites to include caravans, motor homes, large or small. tents etc. with flat and slightly flat areas and close to the roadway dead end street. CAMP 2 allows up to eight or more smaller caravans tents rooftops etc also with some flatter areas. CAMP 3 is a private in the bush area and will cater for five or so rooftops tents, difficult for caravans or large vehicles. CAMP 4 smaller possibly two tents or rooftops secluded in the bush. CAMP 5 similar to camp 3 in the bush and completely private great for a get together with friends. CAMP 6 is the very top of the mountain with a long wide strip of cleared area with bush on both sides and a window at the end to the valley below, very private, must be fully contained and would suit most vehicles, may lose traction if pulling a heavy caravan or trailer.

This unique area suits a multitude of do-it-yourself day only functions, from family parties, gatherings, outdoor meeting, engagements, movies, etc etc. can also enjoy a bush walk and listen to the birds and wildlife, lots of wallabies come out to forage after dusk. Just over an hour from Sydney and forty minutes from Newcastle, Please note: some booking label meanings on this site are unable to be changed, please check with host for any quieries. Set on the shoulder of Mt Nellinda, the property has rolling hills with great bush and tree views and two large dams which act as a sanctuary for our geese, a rural farm property, it has a homestead with a large greenhouse where we grow potted flowers and seasonal vegetables. The space is approximately 1200 square meters with a grassed area of 150 square meters to accommodate a large marque for special events. There is seating for around 60 people comfortably excluding any marque seating. A long 9-meter bench area to prepare food, and also room for a bar area. There are also flushable porta loos, a large two-sided BBQ for large crowds, power points and lights over the BBQ area with access to water. Governement regulations stipulates that events hours are 8am Sundays to Thursdays and public holidays, and 8am to midnicht Fridays and Saturdays. Looking forward to meeting you all.

The property has six . areas. Capable of around 30 camp sites. Camp 1. Is near the road way, open area, fairly flat and suitable for 15 or more camp sites, suits M Homes, Buses small or large including tents etc. Camp 2 is a smaller relatively flat areas and will cater for 8 or so caravans, campers, tents etc, there is an style drop toilet, clean and tidy and a great view or the large irrigation dams. Camp 3 is an in bush enclosed area, will suit up to 5 camp sites, but tight for caravans, roof tops , tents etc ok. Great for get together woth friends and a short walk to the toilet. Camp 4 also a smaller spot in the bush , suit up to 2 tents or roof tops. Camp 5 very similar to camp 3 and is also a pricate bush site. Camp 6 is the top of the mountain, a long cleared area with trees on both sides and a window to the valley below. Must be self contained and room for 6 or so camps, may loose traction up the hill on loose gravel if towing a heavy caravan. Enjoy your stay.

Enjoy the sounds of nature when you stay in this unique place and watch the geese fly from the homestead down to the large dam throughout the day. Sit on your private deck and listen to the frogs in the evenings or watch the rock wallabies on dusk and early mornings. Wake up to the wonderful song of the kookaburras in the mornings. Set on a hill facing a large dam, on a nineteen-hectare majestic bush land property and nestled on the shoulder of Mt Nellinda, sits this newly renovated tiny home. Freshly supplied with every stay is a fruit bowl, bottles water. cow and soy milks, loaf bread, breakfast cereal variety packs and occasionally a surprise. This rustic tiny home, has it all, a comfortable double bed, kitchen, with all amenities, including TV with Netflix and Wi Fi, as well as a speaker to play your music. This tiny home also has an outdoor patio with dining setting, as well as an outdoor shower and toilet, with a private little back yard with picnic table for outdoor meals or sit around a campfire and have a BBQ. Guests will have access to the majority of the property to go bushwalking, or hiking into the Onley National Park via Macbeans Fire Trail which runs through the property. We also cater for camping and overnight stopover for travellers with caravans, motor homes etc so there is a good chance that there may be others scattered on the property. Your choice to socialise around the campfire or remain private.

We stayed in a campsite at the back, isolated from all other campers and really loved it. Joe was there to welcome and guide us when we arrived, it was very easy to communicate.

Look, it wasn't bad at all but really just a spot in someone's front paddock right up against the fence and road. For that, it's a bit pricey but it was OK for an overnighter.

Caravan sites cramped up like a caravan park, on top of each other, considering the space along fence. Sites not very level either which others complained about. Should be bigger sites. 2 fence posts wide instead of 1.5.

We have enjoyed 2 great nights in camp 5 in a private bush area with large group of people. Good thing is that you will have a shaded area as many tall trees around, you feel cooler if you compared to camp 1 on super sunny days. Only the minor thing is the ground is not flat so you will find yourself struggle a bit to look for a flat place if you plan to sleep in a tent but no problem if you sleep on a camper trailer. No toilet is nearby to camp 5 and you have to drive via the rocky roads back to camp 1 also if you need refill your water. Again, if you are self contained BYO everything then there will be no issue. I may try camp 1 next time as it have more flat and grassy area.

Mt Nellinda was a great spot for the long weekend. Joe met us on arrival and found a site for us. We had a caravan and the sites were in a lovely sunny location, no shade so probably not a summer camp but suited us as we wanted the sunshine. Get there early to pick the best sites. There were 4 super clean portable toilets in our area, a camp kitchen and Joe had arranged for a coffee van in the mornings which was great. Joe has a large property and the bush walks were very pleasant. Only a few minutes drive from the Freeway so very easy access, and don't be put off by comments of Freeway noise, this was not an issue.

Our family had the best time at Joe’s campsite it was our first camping trip and the experience couldn’t have been better! 🌿 The space was beautifully kept, peaceful, and perfect for families. Plenty of room to set up, lovely surroundings, and great facilities that made everything so easy and comfortable, especially for first-time campers like us. ⛺️✨ Joe was a fantastic host, friendly, responsive, and super helpful with all our questions. We really appreciated the warm welcome and thoughtful touches around the site. We left with full hearts (and maybe a little campfire smell still on our clothes 😄). Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a relaxing, family-friendly outdoor getaway!

Joe was lovely. The site was beautiful, calm.. couple of family’s having some fun, but respectful. Toilets were immaculate. Dog loved the dam and being able to wander around. I will come back.

I really liked this place. The main campground is very spacious and well maintained. There is plenty of room to stay privately, or to mingle with other guests. It is easily accessed with a 2WD.

Had an awesome overnight stay for me and a mate, and our young kids. We stayed in site 5, which was lovely and private, and plenty of spots for the young kids to explore. Joe was lovely, and super helpful to make sure you got the perfect spot for the crew that you brought. Would love to come back and check out another one of the spots some time!

I loved camping at Mt Nellinda! We stayed at campsite 2 with our dog Oscar. We chose this spot because it was mostly flat, close to the dam, close to the taps for water, and close to both the portaloos and the composting toilet. The site was clean, had bins that were emptied daily, and fire pits. There's a kitchen area near the entrance if you need it. We would come again ❤️

We loved our time at Joe’s place! Lovely views from camp 2 and fire trails to walk. The drop loo is very clean. The central fire pit is huge and great for a large group. So much space for the kids and pets to play. We loved the geese and their daily rituals. An all round fantastic place to stay close to local shops but far enough away that you wouldn’t know.

Great spot. Relatively flat for camping. Joe was very welcoming and accomodating for this newbie caravaner. Lovely bird calls. Apparently kangaroos but I didn’t spot any. Nice area to wander. Dam with geese. Just off the Newcastle freeway so handy for a quick stop over or relax for a few days.

We had a lovely few days at Mt Nellinda Camping, with everything we needed for peaceful, basic camping. We were in campsite 3, a beautiful bush setting, just short walk to the loo. The only downside was the sound of traffic from the highway, but most of the time I didn't notice it. Thanks for a great holiday, Joe.
