She Oaks at the Willowbank property is conveniently located within easy driving distance of the charming towns of Stroud, Dungog, Clarence Town, Paterson and Vacy. We visited them all over our 4 day stay. She Oaks itself is a big, flat, grassy area nestled next to the upper reaches of the Karuah River. Wllowbank is a working cattle property and the resident cows quietly vie for your camera's attention. Did we mention our hosts ?... Jo and Ian are charming, witty and attentive. You couldn't ask for more. We had a wonderful time there and will be back soon.

We stayed at Kellie’s on a whim and wow what a wonderful place it turned out to be. Kellie and Rod are super communicative and welcoming and their place is absolutely stunning. Plus they’ve built this beautiful open pavilion with a kitchen, and plenty of room for relaxing and dining. Really special place, can’t wait to stay again.

Just spent 3 nights here with the family and another family absolutely stunning place with plenty of mountain views, room for the kids to run around and explore, large fire pits and the creek for kids to play . Rikki came down and introduced herself and told us about the property and was very helpful with anything we needed and very responsive with messages. We got to hike up the top of the property with amazing views well worth the walk. The hot showers and flush toilets were just a little luxury to top it all off. Can not recommend this place enough the price and service is excellent we will definitely be returning in the future

Weekend Trip to Cranky Rock Hunter Valley

Our first time off grid camping in our new van was fantastic at Cranky Rock. So much space in the paddock and the cows and horses were fascinating to the dog. The property was lovely, full moon, so many stars and the sun was so warm during the day. Went to Wollombi and explored, which is such a lovely town, amazing food. Drop toilets every paddock available for use, BYO toilet paper. Would definitely come back with friends, well worth a visit.

Beautiful views and amazing sunsets! We camped with a group of 6 adults and 6 kids and everyone loved it! Restrooms were super clean. Hosts were lovely. Convenient short drive into Tea Gardens for supplies. Highly recommend!

Mei was an incredible host who goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. She even checked on us during a storm to let us know it would pass quickly. The sites are large and have a magnificent view of the sunset. The campsite has great amenities and is close to shops and the beach at Tea Gardens and Hawks Nest. Free firewood was an extra bonus. Highly recommend for tents and caravans. We will be back. 🏕️

Fame Mountain Camp - pets welcome

We are a farm forestry property located in the middle of the north shore of Port Stephens. Two hours north of Hornsby. 1 hour north of Newcastle. 2 mins to Pindimar beach, 9 minutes to Coles and bottle shop, 11 minutes to surf beach, 12 minutes to Jimmy's Beach. Pets are welcome, but please pick up after them. Free firewood - Help yourself to what you need. The logs will need to be split as required. axes and wheelbarrows are supplied and are stored in the firewood storage shed. Every site has a fire pit. Hot showers and clean, decent toilets. Good mobile signal for Telstra and Optus networks. Two Communal Fridges and a cold communal spa. There is lots of space for campers so you will have privacy whilst you enjoy your camping adventure. We are located on a dead end road, so very rare to have any traffic after 8pm. Good fishing. Pretty much everywhere you can wet a line. Prawns are best bait. If your dog is on the government list of restricted breeds or on the dangerous dog list please leave at home We have a gentle, well trained old German Shepherd who adores kids but after being bitten by another dog, now prefers to stay inside the house and not visit the camp sites. PLEASE NOTE: 1) We ONLY ALLOW ONE camper trailer or ONE caravan per site. No limit on number of tents. 2) IF You Have more than 3 vehicles/site please contact host before booking. 3) Depending on the weather on the day, we may have to limit the number of vehicles that can be parked adjacent to your campsite. 4) NO late night check in . If you are a group larger than two people the check in time is between midday and sunset. Do not arrive after sunset. The reason being if you are a large group turning up late, you will ruin the camping experience of other campers who got there earlier to watch the sunset and just chill. Furthermore, the sunsets are one of the reasons people come here. Every single day it is totally different. If you arrive late you have missed it.... 5) As the business name suggests (mountain) our property is on a slope. Dead flat is a concrete slab at any caravan park anywhere but not here. 6) Please check weather report a minimum of 7 days before you arrive and cancel your booking if you don't have the camping equipment to cope.

Guests have the use of a retreat shelter/fire place/BBQ area and wifi. Campers must try to be self contained bringing their own water, toilet and shower. Sorry, no caravans over 20ft. We do have available tank, rain water for drinking, a toilet and hot shower, microwave and free wifi available for those who cannot be totally self contained. Yes there are mozzies because you are near water, so bring repellent. Pets are welcome but must stay on a leash throughout your stay. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times. Please BYO firewood. Within 3 hours drive of Sydney and around an hour from the Barrington National Parks, Newcastle, Maitland, Forster and Nelson Bay, it makes it the perfect destination for a weekend getaway! We are offering 5 beautiful, partly shaded, camping sites along the pristine Upper Karuah River. All sites are separated for privacy and are all right on the edge of the river. You may get a visit from our horses, Dolly and Banjo and the cows and calves! Plenty of opportunities for bird watching, hiking, swimming, kayaking, fishing (in summer), star gazing or just relaxing. All sites are site only and no toilet or shower facilities are provided. CAMP 2 allows up to eight or more smaller caravans tents rooftops etc also with some flatter areas. CAMP 3 is a private in the bush area and will cater for five or so rooftops tents, difficult for caravans or large vehicles. CAMP 4 smaller possibly two tents or rooftops secluded in the bush. CAMP 5 similar to camp 3 in the bush and completely private great for a get together with friends. CAMP 6 is the very top of the mountain with a long wide strip of cleared area with bush on both sides and a window at the end to the valley below, very private, must be fully contained and would suit most vehicles, may lose traction if pulling a heavy caravan or trailer.

About

On the northern end of almost 15 kilometres of sandy ocean shores, Redhead Beach lies below stunning cliffs and rocky outcrops. Perfect for anyone camping near Newcastle, the waters are waiting for you only a few minutes outside the city.

Bird calls surround you as you follow the boardwalk through the trees and meadows. Passing through Belmont Wetlands State Park is an experience in itself, but the beach is what truly stuns visitors. As you emerge onto the warm sands, a seemingly endless shoreline sprawls out before you.

Walking along the edge of the water will eventually bring you to Nine Mile Beach and Blacksmiths Beach. All three are great for swimming, surfing, and fishing, however, only Redhead Beach provides you with the stunning backdrop of the towering cliff that is Redhead Point.
