Wombat Flats Campsite
Had a great stay at Wombat Flats! John was an awesome host and really looked after us. The weather wasn’t on our side, so we struggled to gather enough firewood, but he kindly gave us some extra for free, which was much appreciated.
The covered shelter was a lifesaver with the rain, and having hot showers at the end of the day made the trip so much more comfortable. Beautiful spot, friendly host, and we’d happily come back again. Thanks, John!

It’s the perfect package - off grid with a fantastic shelter, Oz Pig, outdoor sink, water, shower and toilet. Peaceful with the whole place to yourself and has access to beautiful walks. It was our second time back and we can’t wait for our third!

It felt like our rustic home away from home. The main shelter was perfect for the small amount of rain that we had, plus it even has a kitchen sink. It was safe for a 4 year old with no issues whatsoever. We had a fantastic time and I will be back again soon!

We absolutely love Wombat Flats. This was our 2nd stay and we'll be back again.
The peacefulness of having only one group along with the convenience of the shelter, water tank and toilet, make this the perfect balance of off-grid camping and comfort.
The fireplace and outdoor fire pit were awesome and the property is beautiful.
Arielle and John are also fantastic hosts.

This was our second stay at Wombat Flats, the space is quiet and beautiful, lots of wildlife and privacy to enjoy camping at its finest. Love this place, highly recommended

Me and 3 mates stayed for a couple of nights over the weekend and loved every minute. The property is really well maintained with plenty of options to pitch your tent and/or park up. The shelter is brilliant with a few bits a bobs like cups etc in case you forget yours. Much appreciated. The shelter looks exactly like the pics so you have plenty of space to cook, eat, chill out and pitch and couple of swags if you wanted to.
Sitting around the fire looking across the paddock under the full moon as glorious. As the description mentions, you can buy firewood but with a little walk out the back on the roped zone, there plenty you can find also. Just make sure to cover up as you will get some leeches when you’re in the bush but this is the same as any campsite. On that note, defo do the loop up and around the property. It’s relatively easy and great to hear see all the property has to offer.
Adrielle and John were very welcoming and we had great communication.
Loved our stay and will definitely be back.

Beautiful peaceful and private site with excellent amenities and provisions (kitchen area, sink, picnic table, chairs, etc as listed). Lots of space, birds, sun and shade. My dog loved it! Bummer that the dam wasn’t really swimmable at the time we visited but we still enjoyed a peaceful canoe. Lovely communicative hosts that met us on check-in then let us be. Thank you John & Adrielle for providing such a wonderful site for a restorative weekend.

A fantastic camp area set amongst beautiful trees, horses and so much birdlife! We had a wonderful weekend by the fire and the camp area is so well appointed. John and Adrielle are terrific hosts and we would highly recommend their camp. We will definitely be back!

Wombats flat is the most beautiful camp ground, it made for the perfect stay. The scenery is lovely, and very peaceful and quiet. The set up is great, with a basic stove that we managed bacon and eggs on but took a while to warm up. It’s very dark, so makes for beautiful stars but would definitely recommend bringing substantial light to help cook under. Would definitely definitely recommend staying here- it was beautiful!

I loved visiting Wombat campground again. It was peaceful as usual and very tidy and comfortable. Lots of birdlife and wallabies.

The shelter was great and there was beautiful views, the owner was very kind! Great to have a sink and a shower/toilet facilities. Only thing I would recommend is maybe some lights down the pathway to the toilet, we had a great weekend, Thank you!

An absolutely stunning location. The peace and quiet and beauty of the trees is good for the soul. Good walks to do if you're so inclined. Lots of open space for the family to spread out and for the children to burn off lots of energy. Hosts Adrielle and John are great... very welcoming. We'll definitely be back!

We had a wonderful weekend camping at Wombat Flats! The property is beautiful and the site felt very private. The weather brought lots of rain, but with the large, well appointed undercover area we could still have a great time and even enjoy some roasted marshmallows with the woodfire stove. We hope to come back soon!

Wombat flats was an amazing hipcamp. So beautiful and peaceful.
Loved the facilities and the little extra touches. Adrielle and Tom - who was at home helping us if we had questions and with wood- were so lovely.
Easy to communicate with and the instructions were perfect.
Loved the camp kitchen and the outdoor dunny.
We Loved your place and so did our fur babes.
We even got to see the wombat walking around and a few wallabies.

Second time staying at the campground. It's the nicest place and so private. Looking forward to coming again. Also went horse riding with Tom who looks after the horses there and had the best time.

Property was stunning - very private, with everything you need to feel comfortable. We arrived the Friday afternoon. Perfect environment for our girls’ weekend to unwind away from family and work. We took 3 small tents and that’s all we needed as Adrielle and John’s site has a shower, toilet, sink and rustic undercover area. We took walks and sat around the campfire. There’s a waterhole as well. The property has prolific wildlife and birds, like a friendly grey strike thrush who was fond of some cooked egg. It’s truly a beautiful part of NSW.

This was a beautiful place to stay, we stayed here for a family camping trip and it is great to have the place all to yourself. The area is very private and also very clean and well maintained. The undercover area is a great plus it has a decent sink to do your dishes in. The composting toilet is great to have if you need it.
John and Adrielle are friendly and helpful, John even met us at the gate to show us around and let us know how everything worked.
The kids loved a bushwalk and a kayak in the dam!
The fire pit is in a great location overlooking the area and you have the option of the oz pig for a fire under the covered area if its raining.
I highly recommend this place and we will be back to stay again soon!

Our stay at Wombat Flats was 10/10. The location is so beautiful and peaceful.
The sheltered area, access to tank water and compost toilet made off-grid camping so easy.
We also loved the choice of outdoor fire pit or sitting around the wood fired stove.
Arielle & John were fantastic hosts and we'll definitely be back.

This was our second visit to Wombat Flats. Even though the weather was terrible, with 40-80mm rain each day, the facilities helped make the stay a pleasant one. We had ordered wood for the fireplace, which came in extremely handy during the cold evenings. The site is quiet and private, which makes this a great place to visit with our dogs. John and Adrielle were very friendly and accommodating. We will be back.

The camping site was sat on an open field surrounded by trees, bushes and various wildlife. We were greeted by the host, John, on our arrival- very friendly and welcoming. During our stay, fairy wrens, a pair of kookaburras and other birds visited our site frequently (we also spotted a wombat!). It was quiet and serene, and the fire pit and hot showers kept us warm during the winter nights. Our dog enjoyed the space, as well as the walking trails (and a swim as well). Highly recommend this spot- lovely hosts, lovely spot!

We had an unreal weekend camping at Wombats Flat! The space is beautiful and peaceful, with plenty of room to spread out. The undercover kitchen and seating area was a great bonus—perfect for meals and relaxing out of the sun or rain. John, the owner, was super friendly and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed. There are also heaps of walking trails in and around the property to explore. Can’t wait to come back again soon!
