We are a "farm stay" style camp in an actively managed pine forest located in the middle of the north shore of Port Stephens. There is lots of space for campers so you will have privacy whilst you enjoy your camping adventure. Our property is conveniently located just 5 mins off the Pacific Highway but a world away. You'll be 2 mins away from Pindimar Beach and 11 mins from Bennetts beach and Jimmy's beach. Good fishing pretty much everywhere you can wet a line. We have clean flush toilets and showers facilities. The campsite has good Mobile Phone Signal. Free firewood. Each campsite has its own fire pit. Pets are welcome, but please pick up after them. If your dog is on the government list of restricted breeds or on the dangerous dog list please leave at home We have a gentle and well trained German Shepherd who adores kids but she likes to stay inside the house and doesn't wander around the campsites . Important Note: PLEASE PUT OUT YOUR CAMPFIRE WHEN YOU LEAVE YOUR CAMPSITE TO AVOID STARTING A BUSH FIRE. NO LOUD MUSIC AFTER 10:00 PM. PLEASE NOTE: 1) We have a maximum of 2 camper trailers or caravans or motorhomes or any combination thereof per site. No limit on number of tents. 2) IF You Have more than 3 vehicles/site please contact host before booking. 3) Depending on the weather on the day, we may have to limit the number of vehicles that can be parked adjacent to your campsite. Please note this property is a working private pine forest. Therefore, as and when the weather is right we could be, logging the forest, milling the logs, or drying the large dimension traditional timber framing lumber. In the near future we will be running sustainable building classes from the property. i.e. showing people how to economically build their own tiny homes using timber sourced from their own land.We are located in the middle of the north shore of Port Stephens. Two hours north of Hornsby or 1 hour north of Newcastle. There is lots of space for campers so you will have privacy whilst you enjoy your camping adventure.  Our property is conveniently located just 5 mins off the Pacific Highway but a world away. You'll be 2 mins away from great swimming places and 11 mins from surf beaches. Check out the beach or go kite surfing. Bring your kayak or stand up paddle board. We have drinking water, clean onsite toilets and showers with hot water. Rubbish and recycling facilities are available. Please seperate cans and bottles from everything else. The National Park is about 20 mins from here but you can also take your bike for spin on our local road as it's a dead end road and has no traffic. For those who are into stargazing we have a particularly good location with no light contamination from cities, industry or neighbours.  Combined with being on top of a hill we have 180 degree view of the night sky.   Bring your telescope and you will be blown away. For down to earth practicalities,  it's a quick 8 minute drive to Tea Gardens to Coles  and the bottle shops. There is a shop called Solo in the industrial estate that has a reasonable range of camping supplies.  Well behaved dogs are welcome. Please pick up after them. If your dog is on the government list of restricted breeds or is listed on the dangerous dog list please leave at home. Free firewood.

Fame Mountain Camp
We had a great stay at Fame Mountain stay. Jon and Mei were fantastic hosts. Despite some really windy weather once this cleared you couldn’t beat the morning birds, clear sunny days and spectacular sunsets and stars. Our kids loved the space and enjoyed playing with the hosts kids. Thanks Jon and Mei for being friendly and accommodating!

Fantastic facilities
Had great night camping. Host was friendly and very accomodating. The facilities are fantastic - far better than what you'd expect. Only downside was that the included wood was green. Would recommend staying.

Hilltop views
Jon and Mia were very helpful and communication was excellent. Views from the site are spectacular but unfortunately there were high winds for the stay and the site is pretty exposed. However, the bathrooms were great with lots of hot water and shampoo, etc. all provided. Dogs can be off lease which is nice. Also Jon provided firewood free. There aren't really any hiking trails close by as its all private property but the beach (mangroves) are only a 30 min walk away although it's along the road and not in the bush.

Fame Mountain Review
Fame Mountain is a beautiful location for camping. The bathroom facilities are very clean and convenient and the hot showers a warm gift at the end of a cold day of exploring the area. Ample fire wood was provided along with a fire pit. The kids really enjoyed the basketball ring and the dog had the time of her life running around exploring. Definitely recommend this site for families or couples.

Our toddler had a great time riding his bike and playing on the trampoline. Short drive to shops and the beach and the owners were very friendly. Thank you for welcoming us to your property

Great hosts. Very friendly and accommodating. Clearly doing a lot of work on the property and facilities which will be great for the future. Left us firewood to use and a great fire pit. Terrific views. Clean toilets and showers.
