The Riverside Farm Escape is a family owned cattle farm situated on the picturesque Wang Wauk River in Minimbah, Mid North Coast NSW. Our well maintained, grassy campground and RV stop provides spectacular views of the Wang Wauk River, which flows into the magnificent Wallis Lakes. The Riverside property spans 103 acres of rich farmland and has over 500 meters of river frontage, ideal for kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing, with water access to Forster / Tuncurry. A gravel boat ramp provides easy access to Wang Wauk River ideal for small boats/tinnies. The property also boasts a beautiful dam, full of blooming lilies, a favourite for the kids to kayak and swim. Surrounding natural bushland is teeming with wildlife, including wallabies, kangaroos, lizards, and vibrant native bird species. Access: Suitable for 2WD and 4WD vehicles Site Options: Powered and non-powered sites available. Non powered sites on the River front, Lily Dam and Paddock Views. Fire Pits: Provided at all sites for cozy evenings under the stars Firewood: Conveniently available for purchase Pet-Friendly: Bring your furry friends (on-leash at all times) Please clean up after them. We had an amazing four-night camping stay here and really enjoyed every minute of it. The property is beautiful and has everything you could ask for — a river where you can go kayaking, a lake, open areas, a football field, and plenty of space to relax. There are also clean toilets and cold showers, which were basic but very well looked after. There are different camping spots with different views, including spots overlooking the river, the lake and the open land. There are also cows and other animals around, which makes it a really nice experience, especially for families with kids. The owner was also fantastic. He was very friendly and welcoming, and we ended up becoming friends. We had coffee together, had some great conversations, and he always made us feel welcome. We were really happy with our stay and will definitely come back again. We highly recommend this place, especially for families with children. A great place to relax, enjoy nature and have a good time!

LILY DAM SITES
My wife , 9 year old daughter and I loved camping here. We were in the lily dam unpowered spot looking on to the water. There is plenty of space which we loved and very well sectioned out so you know exactly where your spot is. We had a firepit which is provided, the campsite is very family friendly and peaceful. My daughter loved the kayaks that she could play on and visiting the goats. I done some fishing as the property backs on to river wauk, caught a couple of decent sized flathead. The owner was very friendly and always checked to see if you were ok or needed anything. One of the residents came round on a very hot day and offerred my daughter a Zooper dooper which I thought was a very nice touch. The facilities are clean , it is a cold shower however I found it very refreshing especially as it was a hot few days. We will definitely come back here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking.

We had an amazing stay at Riverside. So peaceful, spacious, grass covered sites. Our kids loved kayaking on the river. Did a short drive into Forster for a beach dip and then back to the farm for a fire cooked dinner and relax.

Nice space along the lower Riverside sites for a simple weekend. Kayaks provided were awesome and well used. We might try the higher up sites near dam overlooking everything next time. Dog friendly and easy off from highway = hassle free somewhere close to home.

We were off grid on a riverside site, peaceful clean stars a plenty at night, river full of fish jumping all the time. Would be a great location for families as there is room a plenty. I hope to be back again soon, thanks to Richard and his family

Directions to the Farm and camp site were clear & we stayed on one of the River bank camp sites which was a beautiful grassy area and the sites were large with a firepit provided. Richard brought us down some firewood, and was very friendly and great for a quick chat! Loved our nights stay, longer would have been better, so we would definitely come back again and refer it to friends & family 🙏

Lovely place to stop overnight after a big day driving. Easy booking process and entry. Loved the lake in which we had a nice dip before hitting the road again. So much birdlife, frog noises and jumping fish to drown out the Pacific Highway.

What a marvellous farm stay! The grounds are so well maintained and spacious. The use of the kayaks, fishing, soccer field, sandpit, to goats - this place is totally set up for families with kids of all ages. Highly recommend and we can’t wait to come back!

We camped near the lily pond and the sites were nice and flat. Easy spot to pull off the freeway and simply pull up. Owners had fantastic communication and easy to find our site. Well looked after property with kayaks and swings for kids. Only a 20 minute drive into Forster. Fantastic and will be back.

We loved camping at The Riverside Farm Escape! Richard was so accommodating on our late arrival, nothing was too much trouble. He even delivered fire wood to us. The kids loved the kayaks and fishing in the dam. The amenities were immaculate as was the entire farmstay. Very professionally signed throughout the farm. Will definitely stay again. Best Hipcamp we’ve been to!
