This is a great spot, beautiful property and views, as well little things to explore while there. Not far from Dungog but felt like you are far away in nature. Nick and Jane were friendly hosts and really helpful if you need any tips while you are there. We stayed in site 10 which had nice trees for shade, and close to the toilets at the top of the hill :) Would definitely recommend!

Great location
Lovely secluded, hilltop location around 15 mins from Dungog and a good base to explore Barrington Tops state forest / national park. We stayed at the Rainbow View site which had spectacular views south towards Dungog and, at night, the lights of Newcastle in the distance. The site is about 700m from the toilets, shower and power. Nicholas, the host, was very friendly and helpful and gave us directions to the lovely creek and waterfall on the property (4wd recommended). Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful Views
Such a beautiful spot! Got a little confused with trying to find out camp spot as it wasn’t marked, however did receive a call from owners and they were super helpful.
Love the space between sites (and how it’s not overly populated with people) and the spectacular sunset mountain views! Was also nice waking up to the whip birds..plenty of bird watching from camp.

Omg the most INCREDIBLE slice of heaven. This was our first hi-camp stay and holy moley we lucked out with this one!! The view is just next level. You could sit and stare all day. Camp site is clean, safe and level. We camped with a roof top tent and had no issues! Was so nice saying hello to some friendly cattle on our way in and out. Very homely stay and the hosts are easy to contact and communicate with. Highly recommend.

7. Big Fig Field
We loved camping here over New Years. We had heaps of space and couldn't see other campers in sight. This is great for us as our kids love waking up at 5am and are a challenge to keep quiet. Would definitely stay here again. Managed to get my 2WD up the drive way without any problems. Allyn River an hour away is a must if in the area.

3. Hairpin Haven
We had the most relaxing weekend at Mountain Top camping area. We were lucky enough to meet Nick, who was extremely helpful with recommendations for beautiful walks and locations on the property (of which there are many!)
With only 2 other small groups on the property at the time, it really did feel like we had our own piece of land. Our two dogs had the best time swimming in the dams and enjoying the wide open spaces. Camp kitchen and toilets/showers were great too. Will definitely be back!

1. Rainbow View
An absolutely breathtaking place to camp! Both Nicholas and Jane were warm and welcoming. We directly felt at home. There are so many campsites to choose, and each of them have their own spectacular view. We had wallabies coming right up to our site, spent hours stargazing and wandering around the property so big it could be a national park.
Thank you again to Nick for sharing his passion for the land and giving us the opportunity to live some special moments there!
