Campfires are permitted in designated fire pits only and may be subject to fire bans. Firewood and ice are available for purchase (cash preferred). Recycling bins are provided, otherwise campers are required to take their rubbish with them. Wi-Fi and Telstra coverage are available. Rainforest Gateway is located approximately 8klms along Grady's Creek Road, just 20 klms north of Kyogle and 15 klms from the Queensland border on the popular scenic tourist route, Lions Road. Kyogle is a bustling town with an IGA supermarket, MTB riding tracks, lovely gift shops, cinema, bowling alley, and a selection of dining outlets. For those wanting to immerse themselves in nature, the Border Ranges National Park is a short drive away. Please note Lions Road is temporarily closed for road repairs and expected to be reopened late January 2026. We can still be reached on Gradys Creek Road off Summerland Way, ignore Google maps if it directs you to Lynches Creek Rd. Check in is strictly between 2 - 5pm. Having 3-bedrooms and 3 bathrooms it is an ideal place for a relaxing weekend. The cabin has flat ground on 2 sides which allows for additional campers (up to 20 people). In wet weather, 2WD and AWD may need to park a short distance downhill from the cabin. In addition we offer 3 creek-side camp sites which have plenty of room for large groups; they are all situated on well drained, grassy open spaces beside the creek. In wet conditions you will need a 4WD to access these sites. Also in wet conditions they are not suitable for large caravans (in excess of 21 feet) unless you have some serious towing power (Landrover or RAM, for example). Figtree Farm has an abundance of bird and animal life. Here, tranquillity reigns, save for the occasional call of our friendly neighbourhood donkeys and the odd rooster. If you wish to wander further afield, Wiangaree is 15 minutes away and Kyogle is a 30 minute drive south. For those who enjoy a game of tennis there is an all weather tennis court (with lights) nearby at Bundgeam Hall. Figtree Farm at Findon Creek promises opportunities for contemplation, relaxation and fun and it is our wish that you will have many happy memories of your visit here.

The property rests on the shoulder on Mt Nellinda on nineteen hectares of land, there are one large Greenhouse where we grow potted flowers and some veggies, also several large dams which are used for irrigation and act as a Sanctury for our geese, best of all are the views. The perfect spot for relaxing next to a fire and listening to the Frogs and nightlife and waking to the sounds of kookaburras and bird life, Lots of Rock Wallabies in the evenings and early mornings. Dog friendly, no leads required, portable toilets in the multiple Camp site 1 and an older style toilet in the camping area 2, fresh water available only next to the portable toilets camping area 1. also included is a camp kitchen with fridge, kettle microwave etc for your convenience. Check with host regarding campfires. Please DO NOT invite friends and relatives to your campsite without first notifying Host. (little curtesy goes a long way) Group bookings accepted with prior notice to save camping areas. Range of six camping areas. CAMP 1 allows up to 14 or more campsites to include caravans, motor homes, large or small. tents etc. with flat and slightly flat areas and close to the roadway dead end street. CAMP 2 allows up to eight or more smaller caravans tents rooftops etc also with some flatter areas. CAMP 3 is a private in the bush area and will cater for five or so rooftops tents, difficult for caravans or large vehicles. CAMP 4 smaller possibly two tents or rooftops secluded in the bush. CAMP 5 similar to camp 3 in the bush and completely private great for a get together with friends. CAMP 6 is the very top of the mountain with a long wide strip of cleared area with bush on both sides and a window at the end to the valley below, very private, must be fully contained and would suit most vehicles, may lose traction if pulling a heavy caravan or trailer.

Weekend Trip to Halacal Farm

We stayed in the cabin and it was amazing. It is such an incredible location with great views and nice and secluded up the back of the property. Luke was a great host, he was very welcoming and friendly. We were also able to feed the highland cows which was such an incredible experience. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend a weekend.

Weekend Trip to Clarence River Wilderness Lodge

What an amazing hidden gem! The drive in was quite long and rocky, and we even thought we might be on the wrong road. But when we arrived, the beautiful mountain views, river, trees, and birdsong made it all worthwhile. The cabin was cozy and comfortable, especially with the wood fireplace keeping us warm at night. We loved being surrounded by nature and enjoying the peaceful forest setting. The free kayaks were a great bonus, allowing us to explore the water and take in the stunning scenery. In the evening, we sat around the campfire and enjoyed the incredible starry sky. It was a relaxing and memorable stay, and we would definitely come back again. Highly recommended for anyone looking to escape the city and enjoy nature. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Weekend Trip to Clarence River Wilderness Lodge

What a beautiful place to stay! The cabin was absolutely stunning, and although it was quite cold during our visit, there was a fireplace inside the cabin and another fire pit outside that kept us warm and cosy the whole time. The scenery was breathtaking, and at night the stars were spectacular. We could even see the Milky Way stretching across the sky, which was an unforgettable experience. The canoes were a fantastic addition and provided hours of fun for both me and the kids. Being able to get out on the water and take in the peaceful surroundings made the stay even more special. A big thank you to Sharon and Steve for such a wonderful stay and for sharing this little piece of paradise with us. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment and will definitely be back. P.S. If you happen to look in one of the corners of the roof, you'll find a little red speaker we accidentally left behind 🤭. It's up for grabs if you or another guest would like it! I loved the place so much I forgot all about it.

Weekend Trip to Clarence River Wilderness Lodge

We love CRWL and have camped and paddled a few times before. This time we booked the two cabins together for a family Mother’s Day gathering and really loved the rustic cabins in the private space with wonderful river views where we have seen quolls and rock wallabies before. Sharon and Stephen went above and beyond to ensure our comfort with masses of firewood for the huge shared outdoor fireplace with seating, and for the two small indoor fireplaces, as well as providing a tree to plant for our Mum and access to starlink. We will be back!

Weekend Trip to Clarence River Wilderness Lodge

We had a most peaceful and connecting stay in the cabins at Clarence River Wilderness Lodge. We were nine, with three doing their own camping, so we booked the two cabins for the other 6 of us, which worked perfectly. The hours spent around the well set-out campfire! Cooking, chatting, some arts and crafts, walks up and down the river, swims (yes! in May - chilly and very refreshing but not too cold), canoeing up and down the creek. We saw t least ten different bird species, and two goannas leisurely strolled past our camp. Sharon came by for a friendly drop by one evening and we heard a good bit of the history of the area from her. Altogether and relaxing and refreshing trip.

Weekend Trip to Figtree Farm at Findon Creek

4 adults and 3 furbabies.......wow what a fabulous time we had!!!! Everything in the house was just perfect and being able to be altogether sitting on the deck was the best. Late afternoon fires outside seeing the cloud roll in over the mountains and then the stars, bliss. We can't rate this place high enough. Thank you to Jane and her family for allowing us to stay in such a special place.

Weekend Trip to Hedley Hideaways - Thompson's camp

This hut was a great spot for a couple to join in with a group camp for someone that’s not a fan of camping. The hut has cooking facilities, a very comfortable bed, an electric fire as well as air conditioning and a great ensuite out the back with an amazing shower that some 5 star hotels could learn from. Seats on the balcony received a lot of use as well as the shade during the day for the whole group camp to gather under. The only thing to further improve the hut experience would be a bbq out on the verandah but other than, what an amazing stay.

It was one of the decent camping i ever have. All facilities are convenient, nice hosts(includes host’s daughter lol), genuinely clean and neat. I checked in a bit late but still kindly instruct me everything I need to know. Great milk, cave walk, bush walk. Everything was perfectly fit for camping beginner to expert. I would recommend and 100% coming back for exploring more :)

Beautiful location and lovely verandah and camp kitchen from where to enjoy the outlook. Found the cabin cramped with no room for second beside table and reading lamp. Good for a short stay with nice walks around the property.

The perfect spot to camp with non-campers! The site had the most stunning views of the valley with nearby creek access. Level ground to pitch tents plus three double bedrooms in the house. Campfire pit and JB and family made sure we had plenty of firewood. Kids (and grown ups) had a ball exploring the grounds and creeks and watching the stars at night.
