Couldn't recommend the Wandy Donkey Farm more highly, especially if you have kids. Wonderful location, easy to get to, very relaxed, and the animals are an absolute highlight. The donkeys are incredibly friendly and love to hang out, the alpacas are just the right amount of weird, and then there are the little cows and sheep to round it out (we were lucky enough to arrive just after the lambs were born too). The highlight for us adults was our host, Kate. All the comments mentioning Kate are on point, she's so accommodating and laid back, it was a pleasure and we'll definitely be back.

Large flat grassy sites with fire pit provided. Firewood available to purchase. Owner was super friendly and met me at arrival to show me to my site. Porta loo was clean and stocked up with toilet paper. Loved seeing all the animals.

Great for a winter long weekend

Wandy Donkey was a great place to stay; Kate was super lovely to deal with; the donkeys were so lovely and friendly, seeing the baby lambs was an added bonus! Campsite port-a-loo was clean and had plenty of toilet paper! Location was great and star gazing at night was a lot of fun.

Overall we had a pretty good experience. The paddock was quite large and we had our own corner with the nearest people approx. 100m away but we weren't aware there would be 5+ other groups nearby when booking. The toilet provided was a (quite full and smelly/dirty) portaloo in the middle of the paddock so privacy was really quite slim. Other people were playing loud music across the paddock until about 11pm at night which was not ideal. For $100 per night, we thought it was quite steep for the lack of privacy nor clean toilet facilities, but Kate was wonderful and location was accessible for 2wd vehicles nearby to the main road.

Great Experience at #TheWandyDonkey

We had an amazing camping experience at The Wandy Donkey! Everything about the trip was fun and relaxing. Kate and Dave were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome throughout our stay. I’d highly recommend this campground to anyone looking for a great outdoor getaway.

Such an amazing experience. Grounds were level for us to set up the rooftop tent. Kate and Dave were extremely hospitable, including there 2 beautiful dogs! Meeting the donkeys were an experience and a half. Would 100% recommend and we’ll be back in the future!

Peaceful Stay at The Wandy Donkey

This is the second time we have stayed at Kate’s property and like the first, we had a wonderful experience. It’s a peaceful patch of countryside so close to the attractions of the south coast. Huskinson, Milton, Ulladulla and Mollymook. There’s nothing like waking up in the country to a beautiful sunrise slight mist across the paddocks and a cup of coffee. Kate and David are so helpful and are excellent hosts. They are only too willing to help if needed. We had firewood delivered to our site and Dave came to check on us when we had battery issues and again to warn us of incoming weather. We would recommend this property to anyone wanting to get away from it in a peaceful setting, yet still in close proximity to the coastline and attractions. We will be back again and again.

The Wandy donkey is a very chilled spot, with plenty of room between campsites. The amenities were clean and close enough by. The best part was meeting all of Kate’s donkeys and other animals, was so cool!

Farm fun camping

We had a great time staying on the farm! Our 2 young boys loved vitsiting all the animals and getting up close with the donkeys and brushing them. We enjoyed the serenity of the farm and watching the kangaroos in the evenings and mornings. It was a good midway point to get into Huskisson, Sussex inlet and bendalong. Kate was a great host always up for a chat and very kind and accommodating of our 2 inquisitive kids. You can see Kate's love for the farm and her animals which made it more special.

Overall it’s a very basic site and not worth the money you have to pay for it. The porta potty was completely full and unusable. It was in worse conditions then free sites. The owners were very helpful and friendly with checking in late but I would not pay this for the site.

Very large paddock provides a rare sense of peacefulness and privateness. The paddock is very well maintained making it an ideal retreat for those looking to reconnect with nature in a serene. The spot is located near to amazing beaches and towns. Kate and Dave are very welcoming, whose genuine hospitality and helpful nature make us feel immediately at home. Wonderful campsite, lovely hosts, great spot. Highly recommend!

Star gazing was beautiful, kangaroos at dusk and cows at breakfast. Kate was unhurried sharing her donkeys, chooks and goats with us, we enjoyed all of it very much :))

Really enjoyed our camping here. We didn’t land till late on the Friday night and Kate give such clear instructions on where we needed to go, she’s was extremely helpful and quick to get back to my messages. Loved the open field for camping and surrounded by trees. When we came back on the Saturday evening we were greeted by a few kangaroos beside our tents, which was so nice to see in the wild as we don’t see them much coming from the city. The morning haze and sounds of different birds and kates roosters in the morning was lovely to wake up to. We got to pet and feed the animals which was an added bonus to our trip 😁 Really enjoyed our trip and the only thing that could do with work is the toilet/ bathroom situation. Otherwise couldn’t fault the camp!

We had such a fantastic stay at the Wandy Donkey Camp. We felt really at home and comfortable surrounded by Aussie bush and farm, and Kate was a total champ! The farm and the animals were such a bonus, and we will definitely go back! Close enough to amazing beaches, but far enough for Aussie serenity. Highly recommend.

My girlfriend and I loved camping at the Wandy Donkey camp. It was so spacious and private with plenty of shade. Kate was also very friendly and welcoming. We'd definitely go back.

We had a really lovely stay at Wandy Donkey Camp. The surroundings were beautiful, and waking up to the morning mist was magical. The kids enjoyed spotting the wildlife - kookaburras, kangaroos, water dragons, and even a wombat. Kate made our stay special by letting us feed the goats, cuddle a chook, and brush the donkeys. Our kids loved it! She also suggested visiting Bendalong Beach Boat Harbour (30min drive from camp) to feed the stingrays, which was a fun experience, and the beach itself was beautiful. Kate and Dave were so warm and welcoming, which made our stay even better. We had a wonderful time and would happily come back. Highly recommended!
