PLEASE NOTE ** Barachi is located at the rear of our property and is only accessible by 4WD.** If you are a keen hiker or you are fit and adventurous, you are welcome to travel by foot by hiking approximately 1k down hill to Barachi (it's all up hill on the way back :-)). You'll only need to carry your sleeping bags and food as everything else is provided. Please note: Peter is happy to take your gear down and back on the Quad bike - simply select Hikers Assistance when booking. Our rustic little shack is nestled near the creek that flows in the hollow of our 100 acre property. From the moment you arrive you are embraced by the peace and tranquility - lie in the hammock, or dangle your feet in the rapids. You'll feel like you're a million miles from nowhere but minutes from everything; we are just 10 minutes to the eclectic city of Lismore, the Northern Rivers Rail Trail, and just 40 minutes to Byron Bay! Take a cruise around all the surrounding cute little villages such as Dunoon, Eltham, Federal, Bexhill, Clunes and Bangalow - immerse yourself in everything Northern NSW has to offer.

Your own two-bedroom cottage with magnificent views across the river valley to the mountains. Set in the homestead garden, Fairlight offers you old-fashioned hospitality in the natural peace and quiet. An escape to the country on a cattle property The space Twenty minutes from the highway- the 60-acre farm is a quiet oasis in a rural community. Fairlight was purpose-built for guests who have described it as comfy, relaxing, well-stocked, private, and different. The timber interiors and antique pieces add a touch of charm. One guest sai,d "it was like stepping back to a more relaxed time". Another saw the main bedroom and sighed "How romantic!" A booking is for 2 guests and the cottage can accommodate 2 extra people. Guest access You have the whole cottage to yourselves. You are welcome to wander the garden or walk down to the river. Guests have access to the outdoor Forster room. ( A Room with a View !) Guests staying for a while may like to bird watch or count the various native animals that visit the garden. Both depend on the season of the year. Other things to note Fairlight is in the country, 20 minutes from town so the Continental breakfast is extensive since there is no coffee shop to stroll to. You choose your breakfast brands so no food is wasted. Dietary needs like non-dairy or gluten-free can be catered for. Most guests use the kitchen for their evening meal or drive into town. In winter, there are room heaters and electric blankets. In summer, there are pedestal fans but no air conditioning.
