Take your time here to explore our conservation property which has plenty of native flora and fauna to discover then head next door to the Glenugie State Forest which is a good place to hike, mountain bike, 4WD, hunt and bird watch. We live on site and will be in and out working on the property. As builders who love to use recycled items, we have made some pretty fun and interesting composting toilets and bathrooms for you to use and enjoy. We have our work cut out for us restoring the old Grafton Racecourse Beer Pavilion and the surrounding bush after years of logging and cattle grazing. We welcome you to have a fire, beers and explore as you wish. We are an easy going couple with no kids or pets, happy to leave you to it or show you around.

We are located 18 mins from Ballina and 7 mins from Alstonville & Clunes , The Clunes Village cafe is not to be missed & of course the Iconic Eltham pub is only 4 mins away by car. The pub can also be accessed by a courtesy bus from our doorstep ( please reconfirm this with the Pub directly - subject to availability ) . A large fire pit area along the creek edge leaves you warm on those cooler nights . Please add the extra firewood bundle and we will have it prepared before your arrival. Pitch your tent or drive your 4WD right up to our running creek that features lovely swimming holes, rock pools and large shady trees. This area is great to watch the sunset over the macadamia orchard or sit by the campfire at night. This campsite is set in a very private location on our 26 acre property. You need to be a self-contained camper with your own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. There is access to a picnic table for meals. We recommend 4WDs to access this campsite, and caravans and camper trailers are ok. If you're unsure about your vehicle please message us. Dogs are welcome and love the open space.

Our four campsites are spacious and are freshly mown flat grassed sites. Each campsite has 1 or 2 stone circles for campfires, with free kindling and free firewood supplied to all campsites. Whether you are a single traveller, a couple, family or group booking we have the campsite for you. We are family friendly and dog friendly. Dungarubba Fields is a private, rural setting on six acres on Bundjalung country. Four of our camp sites are situated across a small bridge in the back paddock, and one camp site is situated just before the bridge for those self driving campervans with a wider wheel-base. The paddock was once cleared and in recent years we have planted and cared for over 100 new Koala and rainforest trees. After the Northern Rivers floods of 2022 we are now continuing the bush regeneration beside the Dungarubba wetland which borders our property. Our camp-sites offer shade, space, wildlife and birdlife. Campfires are allowed 12 months a year depending on fire ratings and local conditions except on days of Total Fire Ban and the preceding evening going into a Total Fire Ban. We supply the free firewood to each campsite as we understand how important the campfire is to the camping experience. Outside the fire season we can supply a readymade Bonfire at an additional cost to your booking. Hipcampers can access fresh drinking water (rainwater) from our rainwater tanks, with an accessible tap near our home. Hipcampers have access to a downstairs flushing toilet at the house. We offer a Portaloo for larger group bookings situated beside your camp site as an optional extra for an additional cost. The Portaloo needs to be booked when you make your booking. The house on the property was originally built in 1903 as the Catholic Church of the nearby locality Riley's Hill. In the 1940’s it was moved to the current site after low attendance by parishioners who didn’t want to have to row across the Richmond River and get their feet wet to attend Mass. The church sold the building in the 1980’s and it was raised off the ground with two new wings attached on either side to become a private residence. The surrounding area is predominantly farmed to sugar cane and soybeans, however more surrounding land is being planted to Macadamia nuts which will change the look of the landscape in future. During May to November of an evening, you can look out for the occasional cane fire which is a historic part of the harvesting of sugar. Our dog Stella is a 4 year old Blue Heeler, who greets people from the balcony barking as you drive in. Don’t let the barking fool you as she loves visitors and their dogs. We ask dogs not to roam at night as Koalas are nocturnal (and so are other critters) and night-time is when they choose their food tree for the next day and roam around. Our campsite is set within our own ten acre private garden. With only one site booking, you have ensured the privacy to relax and explore the seasonally variable gardens, from the spring magnolia's, dozens of varieties, through to the camellias both sasanquas and japonicas, with the autumn colour of the acers. Centrally located great base to unhook and explore the Northern Rivers. These gardens are part of a wholesale nursery and there are a few times that staff may be in the gardens collecting cuttings. There is no access to the nursery. Our place suits relaxed self-contained travelers only who want to relax and recharge. Located just 10 minutes from Pacific highway at Ballina. Pets are Ok, we have a friendly large dog who may visit. There is a covered BBQ area with table and chairs. For group bookings, up to 10, use the extra van / tent site in the extras section.

Eltham Station Campground is a quiet campground on the Wilson River near the hip village of Eltham, just down the road from Bangalow, a few k's from Clunes and 35kms from Byron Bay. The camp sites are private and have easy access for 2WD vehicles or 4WD. Eltham Station has 7 all weather campsites along a private lagoon. The sites have gravel pads and grass to set up on, plus campfire spots laid out (firewood available) a clearly marked road in and are also surrounded by large trees to provide plenty of shade. There are plenty of birds, frogs, water dragons, platypus (if you are quiet), wallabies and other wildlife around the property and it is a beautiful and peaceful location to set up camp for caravans, motorhomes, swags, tents or vans. Exclusive use of the whole campground for a large group is available on request. We are only 2kms from the village of Eltham and the famous Eltham Pub which is a historic building that often has live music and is a great spot for a meal. It often books out so during busy periods we recommend you book ahead on www.elthampub.com.au Also we are only a 20 minute drive to the beach (recommend Shelly Beach at Ballina with a great cafe called Shelly Beach cafe for breaky or lunch) and are close to the many other beautiful attractions that this area is known for. Children under 6 stay free but hosts must be notified of the total number of people in your group. Each site holds a maximum of 6 guests in total. Campfires are permitted in the rings provided and please ensure you set up in the spot allocated to you especially in busy times. All campers must abide by any fire or other government restrictions. Well behaved pets are welcome but please be aware this campsite is on a working farm with cattle, potty calves, horses, a few of our own dogs. The livestock are behind fences or over the river so will not be on your site.

Thankyou for considering Dungarubba Fields. We offer you a well located and secure camp-site to explore the North Coast or for that overnight stay while you are travelling to your destination and need a safe place to camp. Our four campsites are spacious and are freshly mown flat grassed sites. Each campsite has 1 or 2 stone circles for campfires, with free kindling and free firewood supplied to all campsites. Whether you are a single traveller, a couple, family or group booking we have the campsite for you. We are family friendly and dog friendly. Dungarubba Fields is a private, rural setting on six acres on Bundjalung country. Four of our camp sites are situated across a small bridge in the back paddock, and one camp site is situated just before the bridge for those self driving campervans with a wider wheel-base. The paddock was once cleared and in recent years we have planted and cared for over 100 new Koala and rainforest trees. After the Northern Rivers floods of 2022 we are now continuing the bush regeneration beside the Dungarubba wetland which borders our property. Our camp-sites offer shade, space, wildlife and birdlife. Campfires are allowed 12 months a year depending on fire ratings and local conditions except on days of Total Fire Ban and the preceding evening going into a Total Fire Ban. We supply the free firewood to each campsite as we understand how important the campfire is to the camping experience. Outside the fire season we can supply a readymade Bonfire at an additional cost to your booking. Hipcampers can access fresh drinking water (rainwater) from our rainwater tanks, with an accessible tap near our home. Hipcampers have access to a downstairs flushing toilet at the house. We offer a Portaloo for larger group bookings situated beside your camp site as an optional extra for an additional cost. The Portaloo needs to be booked when you make your booking. The house on the property was originally built in 1903 as the Catholic Church of the nearby locality Riley's Hill. In the 1940’s it was moved to the current site after low attendance by parishioners who didn’t want to have to row across the Richmond River and get their feet wet to attend Mass. The church sold the building in the 1980’s and it was raised off the ground with two new wings attached on either side to become a private residence. The surrounding area is predominantly farmed to sugar cane and soybeans, however more surrounding land is being planted to Macadamia nuts which will change the look of the landscape in future. During May to November of an evening, you can look out for the occasional cane fire which is a historic part of the harvesting of sugar. The Richmond River and boat ramp is a short 2 minutes drive for both fishing and water skiing. The Broadwater National Park with sand-dunes and a fishing beach is only a 10 minute drive away. The Pacific Highway is 7 minutes drive away. The beautiful coastal village of Evans Head with shops, a medical clinic and a patrolled beach is just a 15 minutes drive. The nearest townships are Broadwater (2 fuel stations and a pub under new management), Coraki (junction of 2 rivers), Woodburn (pub with a bistro and a laundrette) and Evans Head (a township with most services). We are a 45 minutes drive to Byron Bay and 25 minutes to the coastal city of Ballina up the Pacific Highway or 25 minutes drive inland to the city of Lismore. We welcome friendly dogs and there is plenty of space for them to run around and chase balls or other dogs. Our dog Stella is a 4 year old Blue Heeler, who greets people from the balcony barking as you drive in. Don’t let the barking fool you as she loves visitors and their dogs. We expect owners to be responsible for their dogs and in particularly when there are Koalas close by. We ask dogs not to roam at night as Koalas are nocturnal (and so are other critters) and night-time is when they choose their food tree for the next day and roam around. We have our work cut out for us restoring the old Grafton Racecourse Beer Pavilion and the surrounding bush after years of logging and cattle grazing.
