We recently stayed at Campsite 7 by the river and absolutely loved it. The location is fantastic, with a spacious grassy site right on the water’s edge and plenty of room to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
The tranquility was the highlight of our stay. Sitting outside the van watching dolphins swim past was something special, and seeing kangaroos grazing nearby added to the experience. The river views were beautiful throughout the day, especially with the peaceful natural setting and abundant wildlife.
We were also lucky enough to catch a fresh mud crab, which made for an unforgettable riverside meal. Whether you’re into fishing, wildlife spotting, or simply unwinding in a quiet location, Campsite 7 is hard to beat.
A perfect spot to disconnect, enjoy nature, and soak up the peaceful atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended! 🦘🐬🦀🚐🌿

Great place for a quick getaway fishing. Close to iluka and Yamba. Kangaroos galore and two beautiful horses that love to say hello.

The site was big and flat. Long way between sites too. We were lucky and had the whole camp to ourselves. Thanks Scott for sharing your part of the world with us.
We had a wonderful stay on the river. Beautiful and peaceful under the stars at night with a fire. Would definitely return. Scott was very helpful. Kangaroos everywhere. Close to Iluka, Yamba, Maclean.

Beautiful watering sites and so much wildlife.
Scott is a great host
Awesome spot to stay. Lots of options close to the water. Loads of fish swimming by n dolphins to. Close to local towns to explore and come back to the camping spot to quiet and amazing sunset and sunrise 🌅. Great for our dogs to. With easy going host.

Goodwood Island is a stunning place to camp. Due to some earlier bad weather, we ended up camped away from the water, but it was a great spot and we had an awesome time. Scott and Lainie are awesome hosts. Thank you again, and we'll see you sometime soon!

Awesome location on the river. Easy access with a 8mtr van. Couldn't fault anything apart from the weather unfortunately. Will definitely be back.
We've stayed a few times now and absolutely love the location. Super friendly host and very polite pupper. There is plenty of room if you don't have the place to yourself to spread out.

The whole river front was beautiful and we were told we could camp wherever we wanted so we fould the first place and camped there but there so many other lovely spots and so many kangaroos.
The people are lovely and we are definitely coming back.

Beautiful quiet space and so many stars at night. Great place to camp and relax. They also supplied large fire pits that worked well for cooking over.
We loved it ! Beautiful creek, caught some nice flathead, a whiting and some crabs. Very peaceful, not overcrowded at all. We were camped right along the creek and woke up to kangaroos every morning the kids loved it. We will definitely be back.
Camping at Goodwood Island is so relaxing and quiet like you have the whole place to yourself. Being able to fish straight off the river bank was fantastic. Definitely a place to come back to again and again.

Wow the campsites are amazing right on the water front and they are really large sites.
We had a group booking of three sites and we all stayed on o e site and still had heaps of room.
The fire pit are so large which is really good for all if us to sit around.
I would differently recommend this hipcamp 10/10.

We loved every minute of our stay,nice,peaceful and relaxing.
Loved seeing the kangaroos and watching the dolphins swim past.
Our dog loved her stay as well,she had the best time.
We loved our time here at Scott's place. Right on the banks of the Clarence River. It was great being amongst the kangaroos and the 2 horses....especially the cheeky poppy who was super friendly.
We saw dolphins twice coming up river and and a few Eagles hanging around.

Enjoyed our stay at Scott’s.
Heaps of room and well kept.
We had a small roof top tinny which was easy to launch from the bank.
We will be back

We had a fantastic stay!
The campground was beautifully quiet and set right on the river, which made for a really peaceful few days. We were able to fish straight from camp and even caught a few, which was a highlight.
It’s also dog-friendly, which made the trip even better. The location is great and only a short drive into both Iluka and Yamba for supplies, beaches, cafés, markets and pub lunch. The host was welcoming, helpful and just genuinely great to deal with.
Would definitely recommend and look forward to coming back!

Lovely property, easy directions and access. Plenty of places to camp along the river, would love to go back.
Great location, with beautiful views. There's plenty of space, not crowded, unlike the caravan parks. Great spot for fishing and close to Iluka and short drive to Yamba. We also brought our paddle boards and had some beautiful paddles down the river each morning. Would def stay again!

We had a beautiful time and had the place mostly to ourselves. We wore lots of kangaroos and caught some fish. The wind can pick up super strong though so need to have things well secured down.

Great spot right on the river. Easy to get to. Great for our motorhome.
This is a truly magical spot. You get to camp right next to the river, it is private and peaceful. It’s a great place to set up and enjoy the region. We did not manage to catch any fish but filled our pots with crabs everyday. I would definitely recommend a stay to enjoy the serenity.
This spot was so good!! We are a family of 6 - 2 adults 4 kids and spent 4 nights - we loved the river for fishing, we also spotted dolphins a few times. Loved the wallabies & Roos around. Great location for day trips out around the area - we did Iluka beach, Iluka bluff, Iluka bluff cove & Yamba Main beach and angourie rock pools. Loved night time fires.
